hi
since all my thread on eve-o forums have been locked up when i have been trying to discuss anything regarding the issue about dev cheating and bannings. i have started this thread my hope is that people will list how many accounts they themselfs have cancled because of this..
cancelation pending on 3 accounts (maudib,nyack, and alt account in training) by me and 4 accounts in my corp
plz keep this thread clean and only post on the ammounts of accounts canceled. lets see if we can get it really long

However, if there is one thing I can not stand in competitve gaming, it is CHEATING. The fact the company has semi-condoned it is beyond word.
I left the following in their account cancelation comments field, following "Game Imbalance" as the issue for leaving:
"Your developers have cheated in a blatent conflict of interest, your PR has handled it poorly, the developer in question has not had their employment terminated (no one cares if he was supposedly slapped on the wrist, at the time of the transgression) and the finacial rewards that have benefited the various player organizations involved have not been recended. I can't believe how arrogant you run your business. If you do not fix the situation, fire the appropriate employees and make it blatently clear to all online communities (not just yours) that you are intent on making your product fair, you will instead be labeled the "Enron" of multiplayer gaming, regardless of your past success. You have assumed that because you have strong product, you can let your employees behave like corrupt government officials. I have never bothered to say anything like this about a game company before. Why should I pay for your entertainment if I doubt in my mind the ability to fairly compete? Shame on you!"

3 Accounts cancelled.
I know of 6 other accounts cancelled as well from some ingame friends that I"m pretty sure don't post here. And about 8 or so people in my corporation - not sure how many accounts. Most people just don't bother logging in while they see how CCP is going to handle it at this point. Server population seems lower tonight.

So what if someone in CCP rolled the cheaT20 and came up with 21 a few times to the benefit of their ingame corp mates
If i walked in on my wife cheating on me and she said, "oh sorry i will tell him to leave, but lets try to move forward and I don't want to talk about this ever again." How would I react and what would I assume?
#1 with the guy in my analogy he would be a dead man in CCP case he should not only be fired but bankrupt after he gets sued for the several million USD he just lost the company.
#2 probably I'm going to leave my wife no matter what she says, but if she says oops sorry and we aren't going to talk about this any more, she will be in the street the same day. with CCP this means cancel your accounts
#3 Then there is the assumptions you can make from the info you have. No there isn't proof my wife has cheated on me more than once, but we make lots of assumptions in life and in fact can't function without making assumptions. Would you believe your wife if she told u, we were just laying in bed together and it never happened before...No you wouldn't and thats why you shouldn't believe CCP trying to confess to something that you got caught doing isn't a confession at all.

I've been playing on and off since 2004, took a break last summer for a few months and came back just before Christmas.
A lot of the reasons I quit last summer had really improved, lag was bearable, things like logon traps seemed to be a thing of the past, jump queues were a LOT better and I was getting back into the 0.0 game (much to the disgust of my misses).
After this though, I've got to say its all over, 3 accounts cancelled, expire in 1-2 weeks.
I'm not so much pissed at the whole dev cheating thing, stuff like that happens and its human nature really but the way its been handled by CCP management through the forums and the blatant double standards/favouritism has soured my whole perception of the company that runs the game.
It's simply not worth my time anymore when its one rule for the majority, another rule for the select few.
Shameful really.

It's simply a matter of who I choose to do business with: CCP is not a company I can trust. I can't trust them to police themselves, to not cheat at their own game, to disclose accurately their own misconduct or - hell - even to listen to my complaints.
Why would I elect to give such untrustworthy people my money?
BoB's life in Eve has shortened over this incident. There is already huge movements going on in the north and south; prepairing for a BoB take down. They outcry on the forums is starting to show itself in the game and, IMO, will end with the destruction of BoB.
I think it will show how corrupt they really are / BOB in god mode if thousands of real life people can't take down hundreds....

The game is dead not, this game is good we make it and Romania Tv give it 5 goat heads, this is good rating for game.
I havn't cancelled, I have just stopped playing. I have sold, for real life cash, one character. Two more are for sale.
I'm keeping my Amarr avatar for the time being. I want to see her bottom when finally, if ever, they get round to doing walking in stations. I've popped her into the Privateers corp. They have no online time requirements or any cheating alliance shit like that. Her account is paid up until 13 August, at that stage she will be ready to train Dreadnaught V. I will buy a 30 time card when that expires and change to another really long skill.
AndI will keep going like this till I can see her bottom. Then I will sell her, again for real life cash.
If I need ISK for skills, I will buy it using real life cash.
Well, if its ok for BoB and the rest to ignore the EULA then it must be ok for me too.
