And go here for the new official Guild Wars Wiki! ... blue tunic and brown pants a a big white beard that blows in the wind and there a perfect gnome... lol ...
Damn, not elves, orcs and all that bunch of standard fantasy races, I don't want Guild Wars to look like to all other gales on the net. Races like the Dwarves of Prophecies, Tengus and the one of Zhed for instance would be in my opinion the greatest idea for new races, Orcs and Elves are so standard, it would be inbearable.

I'm against racial modifications aswell. i'm just saying it should be an appearance option, just like when you choose hair style and sex.
Of course the races wouldn't get any racial bonus, only a way of looking, that's all most of Guild Wars players ask, and the balancing work would be too huge.
Yetis are too big imo, so I don't think that would be a good idea because it would be bad since you can't walk across somebody, it could make disadvantages
I think any new race would be fine they could easly do a better job on races then WoW i still want gnomes... and i am NOT going to pay for WoW for so dum looking races did you see the orcs feet? there like tree trunks...and gnomes with multi colored hair.
Yah i think we should be able to modify, like a take a race (they should add a lot more atleast for looks) and pick more types of hair and stuff than there already is, the things that there are now dont make that much a diffrence

I don't know the maybe if they came up with some kinda new kool looking races as long as everyone had the same starting place unlike WoW and i think it would give a big boost to PvE giving anet alot of new ideas and possibilites. But i don't want a factions fighting against each other thing like WoW a reason why i wan't to stay humans so ABing doesn't look retarded with all different races and that kinda junk.

Race for looks would be cool as not everyone likes having to play only as humans. Race stats would just screw up the game. They have elves, dwarves and orks in Lineage II so it's not like they couldn't add those types of models in.
New races would only make sense if they fit into the story. Having Dwarves run around in Presearing Ascalon doesn't seem right to me. If the next episode could create a story that involves different races then I say go for it, otherwise don't mess with it.
With races there is 1 big problem.. can you imagin the amount of work ANet would have to do to change armours.. I cant even think how long it would take them..
What I'd like is to have the ability to create my OWN race. For example, Anet creates a few basic types of races, from which I can morph them into each other to create my own race. Imagine a gnome with elf ears and fur lmao. I know I'd never get bored of experimenting. Creating armours may not be as hard as initially thought, because if I had a gnome's body that's the type of armour I'd wear. Having long ears and furry skin won't affect the armour I wear

I was trying to come up with a more retarded idea, but you definitely win the contest.
