Yeah if you saw my other Vanguard thread post, even with my comp I do realise that the game needs about 8 months of work, honestly, to be where it should be at. I am just not going to let the bugs and such ruin my experience until AoC comes out, I do not want to get worked up over a game that isn't even my long term solution. Now that I think about it, that is sort of where you guys are all coming from too huh?

Believe me, I didn't buy this game to hate it. I was drinking Sigil's kool-aid, thinking it would be everything they said it would be. The potential is in there. I could see it every time I logged in. But the bugs overwhelmed the potential for me. I'm just not going to pay money for an unfinished product. More power to all of you that do. You are the ones who help this game get up to speed, by paying Sigil's bills. Hopefully they can repay you with a damned good game some day.

    Fanbois you may begin !
    Ok.

What bugs?  Which one did you experience?  Care to elaborate?  probably not...  Anyways, good luck finding a game you like man!

Mind numbing crafting?  Yes, lots of thinking and planning is involved.  I'll give you that.

Do you know what the card game is for?

    You may now post, troll.

Hmm, I stopped playing this game about a month ago. Bugs. Let's see:

    1. Mobs stuck in the floor

    Not there anymore for me

    2. Mobs warping off and then running back at your from 1/4 mile away.

    Not there anymore for me

    3. Players getting stuck in the terrain.

    Can happens

    4. Torches turning off when you chunk.

Thats horrible.  Not sure, but i think it's gone.

    5. My Shaman had a bug where I would kill a mob, then skin it, which makes you switch into tradeskill clothes. When I would finish skinning and switch back to my adventuring gear, my mana would be screwed up. I had maybe 25% of my true mana value.

Not aware of that.  Been group havesting alot with others and never heard of it.

    6. Players health bars not updating in PvP. I never saw an opposing players health bar move in PvP. Granted, I stopped PvPing after about 12 fights, but this was annoying.

Had a couple pvp fights today.  Have not noticed that, but it was a bug for sure.

    7. Random CTD's.

I random CTD with a lot of game.  I crashed once in VG this weekend... i played more then 12 hours in my WE.

    8. Group bug, where the group leader would continuously disconnect. Had a warrior friend stop playing because of this one.

Yeah, annoying.  It's not happening to the leader, but with anyone.  There's a couple way to fix it.  The easiest way is to relog.  Then you can try several things like chunking or cancelling your group bug.

Those are a few that I can remember off of the top of my head. If I sat here and wracked my aging brain, I'm sure I could pitch in a few more.

I don't like this game. Period.

If i'm paying a montly fee, i'm demanding an unfinished game.

    that is my new moto.

Would piss the hell out of me if i was paying for a final product.  Thank god, i'm not.

Um, in a way he is right. . he is talking about the stupid ass bugs that drop you off in the water inside of a building after you recall or teleport to the docks when you need to get across continents because the ships and chunking is bugged. . . .or the rollback bugs when you get an adventuring, diplomacy or crafting level and may get kicked offline because of one of the graphical bugs only to come back to a toon that is a level lower than what you started with. . .or the crafting bug that kept me from completing my specialization quest, while i was waiting for the petition for my rollback in adventuring levels to come through. .

or the half assed crafting system that brings up complications when there is not one that would apply to the situation, Wtf do you get a mangled tool complication when you are working on Utilities?

If he is complaining about diplomacy though, the lore is in there, they mixed up grinding with following the storyline so I don't see why he is whining about that.  Aside fromt he grinding he can grind with a group of people to get crafting, diplomacy or adventuring buffs for him and the rest of the people in the city. . .

I think perhaps many folks are leaving with the OP.  Been keeping in touch with my old guild on Varking and they are seeing a notable drop off in players (especially new ones) on the server......

Might just be a Varking/Shadow issue...but now they are all (10 or so) considering jumping ship as soon as something new comes out like AOC or WAR. (heck, one or two are even making LotRO inquires)

Its a shame, because they all started out really liking VG... but its issues are starting to wear on them...

I stopped playing the game for exact same reason listed here. I didn't like paying to finish beta for the company. 60 bucks plus monthlies for an unfinished product just burned me.

    http://www.unrealtechnology.com/html/powered/released.shtml

something tells me that you need to find new and more accurate info site cuase sorry you'r abit out of date

    Under the the announced section

Advent Rising, GlyphX Release Date, May 31, 2005 " you sure thats the PC version & not Xbox ? "

Duke Nukem Forever, 3d Realms  Coming "When it's done" from 3D Realms for the PC.

Heavy Gunner, Brainbox Games  August 9, 2004 "  you sure thats the PC version & not the Xbox? "

Pariah, Digital Extremes May 3, 2005 " again Xbox or PC

Men of Valor: Vietnam, 2015 October 26, 2004 " Xbox or PC >?

If there pc version can you link em  most of those links lead nowhere

I think he was pointing out the site isn't exactly up to date as some of those games are listed as announced when they've already been released.

Didn't the guys at unreal say a while back that they wouldn't be making anymore unreal games and instead focussing on just developing the UE technologies?  Then they made like 2 URt games after that with another on the way I believe.

Also looked like the 2x engine, and I'm asuming that's what the 2.5 is, was created with xbox ports in mind.  The Sigil/ MS thing combined with the 2.5 engine kinda makes sence now if MS had plans of porting the game over to the Xbox.

The reason they think there is a drop off in players is because people have diplomacy toons they keep below level 7 and the same with crafting. They do that so you do not get ganked while leveling crafting or diplomacy. Most of the people who have been playing for some time are probably in the levle 20s, so it would seem that your guild who just dinged 10 is behind and that is why they think there is less. Just a thought.

Good point...most of them are now in the mid-20's, with a few in the lower 30's (of adventuring)..... might just be the bracket they are in and the fact they are ranging far and wide now in the game world....

Yea, I couldn't even get out of the crafting tutorial because the Assembly Table was bugged for me for whatever reason.

I petitioned and placed a bug report...hell, i petitioned on 3 occasions because I really wanted to try it.

No response after 2 weeks. So I left.
