I understood perfectly well, I know their are more than 36 people in the game as a whole... just making a point I cant imagine their being more than that in the barb areas I log in there and it is barren. So in total their may be 50 ppl(mabe a few more) playing at any given time , and that is nowhere near enough to support the economy let alone a game as centered arround community as this one is... I read and think about everything everyone posts in response, and it is apparent that noone even tries to comprehend what I am trying to say... I want this game to succeded. I want for their to be a large enough community for all of us to enjoy, not just me, you or one guild, but everyone. For the game to have any chance of getting better they need funding... if noone has a need to verm then where is that funding comeing from? The devs probably, thats my guess. So if noone is ever gonna verm because you don't have to, because it's too costly or because others will take care of you, then the devs will have to continue to foot the bill untill they cannot any longer.
Have to agree with you there......need a larger more active community. The thing is you the game's graphics put a lot of people off and they just look away. I personally think that the community is a decent enough size to get anything you want.
Yes I think the verm is not a way to get anything you want without investing a lot of money, but it would make the game boring if they made that possible. I believe the game in a natural sort of way discourages (as you said about the Hamata) a lot of people verming to get expensive items which is a great thing. Personally I believe the verm is a great way of investing money to make more money ingame. If you think with that mentality, you'll get that hamata. And there are guilds for a reason....not to supply their own members only but to be a sort of trading company and supply to everyone for a profit.
Of course, their stuff including Hamatas are way cheaper then NPCs. And NPCs do change the prices of the stuff they sell by the way. The economy is very dynamic. Don't buy from NPCs for the obvious reason....everything is way overpriced, and if you buy it from a guild, they made their equipment most probably with very little cost and their own resources. So they can sell it to you very cheap.
Great thing about this game is that you can make more money by spending money. As said before Hamata is something you don't wear and use all the time. When that eventual time arises and there's the call for battle in a possible good fight, then that Hamata will come to use. If the Barbarians are planning a fight which is bound to be successful, then you will definitley want to join them with your best armour, so you avoid death and enjoy the spoils of war. No successful fight comes without death from both sides. If you want to be one of the attackers who is still alive after the fight, thats when the Hamata comes to use. You don't wear a hamata for any fight especially one where odds are against you....well....unless you are confident in your fighting skills, very good at fighting and can afford to loose one Hamata. Expensive fighting equipment, weapons and armours are all equivalent to those epic lvl 60 items you get in WoW. You treasure them. When you are a warrior, and you are a focused combatant, you make sure you have supplies of equimpent, not just one weapon, but 20 of the same. Same goes for all armours. You have available when the need arises and if you loose that armour/weapon you have more, so its not such a great loss. And keep in mind if you are a great fighter, it means you win more fights then loose so you probably ended up with weapons/armours from the enemy.
But anyway, keep in mind what I said about a Hamata being equivalent to a lvl 60 epic item. Thats why its so expensive. But can be bought cheaper from a player. Also verm is a way to invest to make more money. You can never have enough money in this game, because obviously you can never have enough weapons/armours/tools/everything. And you stock up on those things. So the ideal thing is to make more money....how by investing more money and if you don't have enough you create more through verm. Thats the mentality you need to use verm efficiently. You can't afford something you work to get it. You want to make more money with in a new market, but don't have enough to start out in that market you verm. As I mentioned before with creating and owning a player run town (obviously in the future). You are definitley required to put a real lot of money into verm and you'll get tonnes back, from players renting out your houses there and wishing to own structures or stationary things there. About 20% of the game is about combat, so using the verm, only for combat equipment is a bad investment, and you risk loosing your stuff so use the money you get from verm to make more money instead.
I think I can agree with you that the use of Verm was stated wrongly. You can't get what you want in Roma Victor by verming without a huge cost. And that cost is too great for most players to afford. But I personally think thats a good thing. It means that noone can surpass anyone else without doing anything. They put in money into the verm to make more money and thats how they should surpass people, not because they are rich and don't want to earn those items and armours.
And I actually got a shortsword for no ses what so ever. Why? I gave the guy a load of smelted iron lumps.
And yeah, game still needs a larger population to improve the economy even more.....that I definitley agree with you on. But I don't think its the verm that effects the game, but instead the fact that this game has an incredibly huge learning curve. Attending is stupid, and I think is also part of the problem. Others are just annoyed because of the begining of release....the game was a huge failure, stability problems, server problems, fps problems, memory leak. Combat sucks. Updates screwed the game even more, but now improved it.
The problem is the people who did leave are not tempted to come back. Even though the game is hugely improved. I think the verm doesn't need changing, but the economy does. Prices will improve, if the community of Roma Victor grows agai.
I have been playing on and off for months...I have yet to touch the VERM...I wont start playing hardcore till ballistics goes in, but it isnt like there is a monthly fee or anything
I understood perfectly well, I know their are more than 36 people in the game as a whole... just making a point I cant imagine their being more than that in the barb areas I log in there and it is barren. You actually gave me a better way to explain, I get ideas from reading others posts. You clearly read mine and posted usefull info on your opinion instead of just trying to trash me. If everyone was as constructive we could all find solutions much easier. Anyways plz read you will understand my views much better.
Have to agree with you there......need a larger more active community. The thing is you the game's graphics put a lot of people off and they just look away. I personally think that the community is a decent enough size to get anything you want.
Glad you agree with that part. And yeah the graphics turned some off, but I like em not bad for a game like this and a team this small. But that is not what makes a game for me, I still play UO off and on. The community , for the most part...are cool people fun to play with , but I dont ever see enough people to get anything significant done in a average play session.
I got tons of free time too, ATM, but everything took way too long and that was small stuff... even for me, and I just though man none of my friends or most the people I played with in other games, would want to wast that much time on one small project. Most the time they were bitching about how long things took in those games, and they werent near what these times are lol.
I like what RB has made, but that is the reason I have to speak up about what I dislike and offer ways to help them and us.
Yes I think the verm is not a way to get anything you want without investing a lot of money, but it would make the game boring if they made that possible. I saw it like this(and I know I am not the only one). I payed $40 usd, I wanted to buy a good set of armor(hamata and a cheap one at that) since they offer better protection... as any gamer would. Now reguardless of weither of not skills are maxed, we will assume they are, you can still die. When you do you run the chance of droping that $40 item. I mean thats $40 gone just like that... players arent gonna enjoy that too often. Then when you look at the prices for a good one or even more expensive items dissapearing like that you are talking alot of money its not good not if they want people to verm . But, if they were more affordable, you could lose many and buy many more for about the same cost(just balanced for fun)... that means lost of people actualy useing them and actualy playing the game the way it was meant to be since they can now afford to.
Yeah, they replenish when they are bought out I think. They are a little off too IMO. In that they(NPC's) sell all ranges of items and they are more expensive than player (better) items, helps to throw everything off. They should have items of fixed QL like all swords of QL 25, and set prices that are fair, for those QL25 swords mabe about 100 ses. Let the players make them and set the prices from that QL up but they would only be bought from from other players. All items should be like that so that you can get what you need just not the best untill you invest some time or money in the game.
Great thing about this game is that you can make more money by spending money. As said before Hamata is something you don't wear and use all the time. When that eventual time arises and there's the call for battle in a possible good fight, then that Hamata will come to use. Everyone should be able to afford one if they bought some verm, even if it is just a QL25 form a NPC(like I said above) and the cost was about 500 ses, that way it is not such a kick in the teeth if you die. (like you will be all the time if you are green)
I know the hard part of that is it would still take the same ammount of time to craft a QL 25 hamata, but that is also a part of the problem throwing things off. You should be able to set the QL you are trying to craft and be able to see a chart to show how effective you are at trying to produce each of those QL, so you know when to make each. It should be quicker to make lower QL items, but if you try to make a QL50 item and your recomended level is about 30, it would take the longer time but have a high chance of being a lower QL item mabe 25-35 or something. This would make it easier for crafters to sell lower QL items for newer player at prices that they can afford and that wont run them off, while leaving the higher priced items kinda pricy(still think they should come down a bit) for those that invest alot more money than the average player. (up to about $40 a month max) Also would make crafting seem more worthwhile and actualy seem balanced in the start and gradualy get harder and take longer. Instead of making people feel like they have a second job.
But anyway, keep in mind what I said about a Hamata being equivalent to a lvl 60 epic item. Thats why its so expensive. But can be bought cheaper from a player. This is exactly right...for the game as it is. But it alienates so many of the players it needs. It should be like I said above, where you can have most everything you need just a a lower QL so that it can be priced fairly for the players that will be useing them. Combat would then be more than 20%, it would be up arround 50% or so because everyone would be geared up and feel ike they have a chance... and even if they lost they would just gear up and head back out.(after healing up of course) Crafters would have tons to do (gaining in skills along the way) and would be in high demand, from all those wounded souls returning form the hereafter.
Would just be a much more fun game, if the community could afford to be more active in all aspects, I am sure you will agree there.
I think I can agree with you that the use of Verm was stated wrongly. You can't get what you want in Roma Victor by verming without a huge cost. And that cost is too great for most players to afford. I agree 100%, that you should not be able to just buy your wealth, but if a player is just a combatant he has to invest money to buy his gear, so he can survive to get gear off others to make money in his profession. Its just not balanced, if it were then it would work for both types of players.
If a player vermed each month $20, that player would not use it all each month, playing average times, he could afford to keep up that QL 25 gear easily, but as he grows in skill and probably has invested for 2-3 months at $20 per, that extra ses he has been saving will put him that better QL50 gear, and after a few more months he could afford the 99QL, but if he decided to pay $40 one month so he could get ahead a bit , it should be worth while IMO, asking someone to invest more than that is not good in a MMO, especialy since nothing is permanent...(can be destroyed or looted)
And I actually got a shortsword for no ses what so ever. Why? I gave the guy a load of smelted iron lumps.

Yeah alot of those are getting alot better. Attending isn't stupid, it is just an eye opener... Most people figured if you are throwing together a pile that is gonna be QL 1-5 it shouldn't take you as long ast it would to make a QL 99...(as 1-5 would have been slapped together in a rush, and QL 99 would have been made with care stacked correctly and haveing taken time to find better wood. And most new players run to a NPC to get their starter gear, since they usualy havent met a bunch of people or joined a guild yet, and they were confronted with these crazy prices.. then they thought about the new revenue model verm, and that was probably all most people needed to see....
The problem is the people who did leave are not tempted to come back. Even though the game is hugely improved. I think the verm doesn't need changing, but the economy does. Prices will improve, if the community of Roma Victor grows agai.
The economy wont flourish untill the prices change IMO, more people will be buying and selling, That is the only way this economy will do well, is if it is active, right now it is very slow becuase everything is too expensive and takes too long. If things were more affordable and take less time in the begining, for low QL items, then gradually take longer and cost more for the higher QL items, the community would be more active(since it would be balanced) and if it were more active more people would be willing to join it.
It is not just gonna happen over night, but if people see that they are balancing it so everyone can have a fun and fair experiance, they will hear it and come in to see, then they will be hooked.
Actually he is a member of a guild. Albeit he cant keep in contact with one. According to the site, he signed up 7 months ago and hasn't logged back in once, he is currently listed as inactive.
I had a long post all ready to go but decided to delete it. I have wasted "almost" as much time as you waste in game trying to craft one small stupid item, trying explaining this to yall. If you havent gotten it by now you wont.
Too bad would have been a great game. Not to worry tho, AoC will be out soon enough, will be able to have some fun then. No doubt I will see all of you there once you realize what I have from the start ... enjoy your game tho, while it lasts.
And hell, who knows mabe they will wake up from behind the wheel before they crash and burn .... one can only hope.
First thing they should do is stop listening to the same handfull of players that enjoy it like it is... and start listening to the thousands of players that left after a day or so. (But that would be a smart buisness move)
Doubt it. From what we have seen in their game footage, their game is already much more polished and its not even released yet. I am quite sure that their priority is to make the game fun , not a historicaly accurate bore.
Also sure that you will be able to afford or find weapons and armor that make you effective even in the first month of playing and it probably won't cost 40 bucks per item.
And undoubtably you will be able to find some action when you want it. Ohh and if you craft something it probably won't take you days of tedious and boring work just adding items one at a time while looking at the same unchanging screen.
And on the last note they have the same interesting combat approach but theirs actualy allows you to swing your weapon and hit a radius arround you instead of having to poke at each target from close range.
Not much to complain about, especialy since they are sure to have all their features up and running before release. And if one or two have to be left out they will post it clearly so you know before you buy the game.
Too bad you all dont want to have a fun game too... this one was pretty close, even with all the misleading info.

Historical accuracy is the point of the game. That's why crafting isn't the masturbatory exercise you'd like it to be.
40 bucks per item? You start with 5000 sesterces. A good high-quality spear costs 250-300 sesterces--free if you join any guild worth its salt. A buckler costs about the same, and is also free in any decent guild. Did you even play the game?

Your an idiot.... Did I say anything about a 250 ses spear? Anyone can get one of those. I said effective weapons and armor... hamata, short swords, and long swords. You know the ones if YOU PLAYED, the ones that run upwards of 7k each, also like that wonderfull 20k hamata we all seen (thats more like $80). Prices like those are just a BS rip off, anyone spends that much on a peice of some dam chest armor for a game is a fool. Cant believe they would use a revenue model like this and set or allow the prices to get so high.....
Reguradless if you buy or earn your hamata, if it cost even 10k ses thats $40 rl dollars you are spending for that armor and if you die, poof its gone ... you are saying that is acceptable? So you are saying all that time you spend making or working for that armor (not a fun process BTW) is gone and was for nothing and that is ok?
Whatever bud, play the game. I gave it a shot thats why I am here and not in game still, like the few thousand players that they had at launch that left. I was one of the few that could play it then but their was nothing fun to do .... unless you find looking a a still screen with a blue bar for hours while crafting fun.... mabe the thud's and tap sounds really brought it to life for ya?
Me I will never donate to the verm again untill I see that they are balancing prices and fixing craft times so that you can craft casually and get your moneys worth when you verm. Like QL 5 item=5 mins, QL 25 item=10min, QL 50 item=25 min (RL TIME) something like that. QL 25 items and lower should have set prices at NPC's and QL 26+ should only be selleable by players.
I will watch for any changes like that but If they never come I am sure I will be happily playing a good game soon enough and this one will slowly fade from memory.... like it has for most already.
Tip - If you're going to call someone an idiot, make sure you don't follow with a bunch of poorly spelled drivel.
That said, you remain a clown.
Your implication that spears are ineffective and that you somehow need a 7000 sesterce sword (1000 if you tried purchasing from a PC) is laughable. Many veteran combatants choose to fight with spears and pila even when swords are an option. The longswords and suits of armor you feel you need are essentially status symbols. I've seen swordsmen fall to spearmen many times.
You're essentially upset that you weren't handed the game's most difficult-to-craft status symbols as a noob. I don't think there exists a game easy enough for you. Perhaps if you purchased a Leapster...

Haha, excuse me I didn't know we were in a spelling Bee.... And since I was in a hurry I misspelled some words.(excuse me lol)
Good thing I didnt charge ya to read my rushed post, like they charged everyone to play this rushed half assed game...
I also never needed to make a second acount to back myself up in the forums...
Oh , and mabe if you took the idiot lenses off your eyes, for one second, you could see that the reason everyone runs arround naked when fighting is because of these dumb prices. Why would anyone use one of the $40 status symbols ever? So I guess they weren't made for battle....?
And It is sad to say but Leapster, was more successfull than this crapy game.... and probably more fun lol, so you can send me yours when you finish with it. Enjoy.
Almost forgot.... The vets CHOOSE to use the cheap weapons because they are cheap and useing the $40 equipment would be stupid... Not because they are more effective, get it straight.
I also never needed to make a second acount to back myself up in the forums...
My join date is November 2005. Who am i supposed to be a "second account" for?
As for the rest of your post: I don't typically call someone out on spelling. Only when they actually type "your an idiot," like some living, breathing internet stereotype.

To your credit, you did spell correctly.
lol, your a funny one.
And the reason is you have a whole 10 posts yet you jump in here like a vet(for RV) telling me I havent played the game like some others in here. Seems your post count is so low because you been busy useing the main account you made, probably arround the same time, and just use this one to back yourself up... I could be wrong but it just seems odd.
My main concern is with the game tho. You are just like the others(alt or not) trying to take attention off the facts of my posts and turn it into a flame war. Tell me why you failed to comment on all the nude combat in the game.... and tell me why you failed to comment on the fact that many items do cost $40 or more in this game.... Do you think that crafting a QL 5 sword should take the same ammount of time to craft a QL 99 sword or should it be balanced so new players can craft and see results faster while crafting the low QL 5 items and prices can scale up to the higher QL? And tell me do you find these current high prices and long times to be a good aspect of this game that is drawing more players in or driving them away?
I think that this game could and should be balanced alot better. If it were more new player friendly, where new players actually feel like they are accomplishing something, we would have that large community we need in this game for it to be fun. Right now it takes so long just to make one stupid item(reguardless of the QL) and new players see the crazy high prices too so no one is sticking arround. This is causing the community to stay so small that their is barely anything for the incoming new players to do... Since the game is meant to be communtiy driven.
These are serious problems IMO, and they are made obvious each time I log in and see like 3-4 people and each time I log in and check prices on different items. And the nail in the coffin is when I try to craft (something to do) and find it takes forever and all you do is just stand there looking at the same screen shot for hours, watching the blue bar tick away...
So, Lets answer some of the questions you point out.
The Nude combat : The player base economy has not reach a high enough strength to support such a large scale deployment of armour.
Item price: Items are not meant to be cheap and quickly replaceable, least the armour you are talking about.
Item Quality: Item quality is determined by skill and the quality of the materials you gather, it is not a function of time. In its place, it takes more time to gather high quality materials then it is to gather materials of a lesser quality. I personally think the system is fine, its just that people do not have the patience. But when you finish something, it will be extremely satisfying.

Mabe what I am suggesting, a scaleable crafting system, that allows you to choose the QL of the item you are making would help the economy. As a new player you could atleast get the sence of accomplishment by making stuff, even if it is just lower QL stuff and scale up as you play and get more skilled. just makes more sence than it being 100% difficulty from jump street...
You would be able to afford to get a hamata and wouldnt be scared to use/lose it because it would probably be a QL 5-25 set that cost about 200-500 ses instead of even crappy ones costing 7k+ just because it took you a week to make it...
We would actually see more battles that look accurate, with more players participating, because it isnt such a huge loss when you die.
I understand about the satisfaction of completing a project that took a long time to make .... but gamers in general do not. People want to see results especially if they are paying. They still will have those project that just no matter what take a long time and lots of teamwork to complete like chapels or bath houses.
It just needs to be scaled up gradual like, so the game is fun and accessable by all players, new or old. If it was we would see alot more people playing since it is free after all.
ok shane i agree with u on one point and ONLY one point that u made kinda....
You said the player should choose what Ql he or she wants the item to be at the end just as long as its made, Well thats not realistic at all picking the Ql you want... But rather then the project failing 99% through as its happened before the item/product should be made at its lowest QL just because items IRL dont just go POOF... So in turn someone would beable to make a 2ql of anything they wanted in game, now that wouldnt really last long at all but for the new players it would be somewhat of an accomplishment...
Now about some other things u wanna see happen with armor being worth only 200 ses you are out of your mind... Why do u think Barbarians back then fought naked?? Do u honestly think they just didnt wanna wear armor ? Its becuase mainly they couldnt afford it...
You just need to be paitant with RV and play it as if u were thrown into the wild to live on your own... You are trying to tell me you can build yourself a sturdy house like a hut in 1 day?? LOL if u say yes u can then u are out of your mind... and i have facts to back me up on this.... Do u also think it would take u no time at all to make stuff like tools and swords.?? Swords as they do today Still take a while to be produced.. So Plz stop complaining about things takeing too long cause really IRL things would take even longer...
ok shane i agree with u on one point and ONLY one point that u made kinda....
What is a QL 99 firewood pile? and what is a QL 5 firewood pile? I would say a QL 99 firewood pile is one that you gathered up good wood and stacked it up all nice and neat. A QL 5 pile would be one that you just grabbed up whatever wood you can find and threw it in a pile. All I am suggesting is to make it so that you can decide ahead of time how much effort you are gonna put into whatever you are doing... just like you can do IRL. That would be what I mean by chooseing what QL you are gonna make.
Now about some other things u wanna see happen with armor being worth only 200 ses you are out of your mind... Why do u think Barbarians back then fought naked?? Do u honestly think they just didnt wanna wear armor ? Its becuase mainly they couldnt afford it...
200-500 ses armor would be the low 5-25 QL armor that the new player smiths are making. Not the QL99 armor that the vets are making that would be higher priced. The more expensive armor and weapons would be for those that have put in some money to the verm over time, the ones that havent would be having a little harder of a time getting those things. Right now its a hard time either way so why verm at all... I have a problem with that . And so should RB.
You just need to be paitant with RV and play it as if u were thrown into the wild to live on your own... You are trying to tell me you can build yourself a sturdy house like a hut in 1 day?? You are looking at the whole process I am talking about the actual assembley process. Yes it would take time to gather materials, thats where slaves and non vermers come in handy. But the process of puting them together, like a hut, yes you could do that in a day easy. Especially back then because thats what they all did to survive, on a daily basis. Would have been like second nature every child growing up would have helped his or her family with their huts(and jobs) so when they moved out they would know exactly what to do.
Don't forget they didnt get paid by the hour like the lazy people of today do, they had to get it done to so they could eat or sleep ... or they just die.
But you should keep in mind that this is just a game ... noone wants to pay out money for a second job, if it is not fun or rewarding in any way from the begining people are smart enough to know it's not gonna get much better. IMO thats why the majority left, not because of bugs or graphics I rarely had problems in those areas, but because it just is lacking in fun it is trying to be too realistic.
They got a potentially good game here but if they stay this course its not gonna have the sized community that a community driven game needs.
Better question. How many sets of armour do you think a smith should be able to produce in a given time frame?
I will answer your question.
I would say in a 2 hour play session a new crafter should be able to make about 2-3 QL 5 sets of armor. And that would be doing nothing but putting it together working hard. Not gathering or smelting that should be someone elses job.
Now one QL 99 set should take the whole 2 hours and require high skills and high QL materials.(or even a little longer mabe up to 4 hrs)
I know you are gonna say, "but IRL it would take days or weeks...." but again this is supposed to be a game. It has to be fun and somewhat rewarding or players are gonna leave like they already did.
Also everyone says that the community is not large enough and thats why things are so crazily priced... this would help that we would see alot more items being sold alot more crafters working and competition would drive the prices down. Not to mention would fuel conflict for resources.
And since you lose items on death or through use players would be going through twice and much gear and tools as they are now so it is not like it gona be stockpiled they will be getting used up ... and the majority of items would be lower QL so they really wouldn't last that long.
Anyways that should answer your question ... I atleast answer each question presented I don't side step them all like yall do most the time, by talking trash and trying to get me riled up so my points get burried in petty arguments.
Any other questions I will galdly answer but by now I know you understand what I am saying, this game could be much fun if it were balanced to be a game instead of just a historicaly accurate bore.
ROFLMAO are u out of your mind?? 2 to 3 ql 5 armor sets??? You must either be young and dont know any better or u are just not so bright up there... Dude in 2 hours u cant even shape chest peice, rememeber u have to keep heating and beating the crap out of the metal to get it to shape up...
Sorry but if u are going to complain like this i think u are better off playing a fantasy game which indeed u will make well over 2 to 3 armor sets in 10 mins...

Our entire exchange was me trying to get you to answer one question, and you sidestepping it.
Originally, I didn't have anything against you. I genuinely wanted to understand your concerns, but all I got when I tried to get you to communicate them in a coherant manner was paranoid accusations and generalized whining.
I'm going to ask you once more, answer me the same way you answered that question: In your mind, how much should a player be able to afford with a months' VERM?
If you still don't understand the question after this, I'll try explaining a different way.

Did you even read what I posted... you are an idiot. I never said 2-3 in 20 mins I said a whole 2 hour play session of non stop work.
I also said I know how long they take IRL but this is a supposed to be a F'ing game....

It seems that u are the idiot becuase u cant even realize that when i said " Sorry but if u are going to complain like this i think u are better off playing a fantasy game which indeed u will make well over 2 to 3 armor sets in 10 mins... I was talking about in the fantasy game....
I understand its a game which is why u dont have to wait weeks and just rather a few hours which in turn normaly takes a day becuase u cant stay up for 5 hours so u go to bed and do whatever it is you have to do in the morning weither it be work or school so in turn it does seem like it takes too long but really it doesn.... There is plently of other things to do in the game while waiting for that to finish..
I would say in a 2 hour play session a new crafter should be able to make about 2-3 QL 5 sets of armor. And that would be doing nothing but putting it together working hard. Not gathering or smelting that should be someone elses job.
See--there's the root of the problem. A lot of things in the armor-making process should be someone else's job. The Master Armor Smith should be responsible for fitting the components together at the end of the process, while mining, smelting, shaping strips, procureing hide, et al should be the work of other guild members.
The game is designed for large guilds to produce items in an "assembly line" type of process. A major problem is that people are trying to build everything themselves from scratch. We can agree that the game desperately needs more players to pull off their economic model, but it isn't worth sacrificing the entire economic vision for a short term gain in players.
Comments
You actually gave me a better way to explain, I get ideas from reading others posts. You clearly read mine and posted usefull info on your opinion instead of just trying to trash me. If everyone was as constructive we could all find solutions much easier. Anyways plz read you will understand my views much better.

And yeah, game still needs a larger population to improve the economy even more.....that I definitley agree with you on. Updates screwed the game even more, but now improved it.
I have played RV casually since release.
I am on perhaps four nights a week for rarely more than an hour at a time.
I have trained to very high combat skills.
I have many belongings, including weapons.
I am not a member of a guild.
I have vermed perhaps $30.00 in the 9 months since release.
I have rented a hut for several months.
I am not a member of any guild.
Shane is apparently very bad at budgeting.
/sigh....

I was talking about in the fantasy game....I understand its a game which is why u dont have to wait weeks and just rather a few hours which in turn normaly takes a day becuase u cant stay up for 5 hours so u go to bed and do whatever it is you have to do in the morning weither it be work or school so in turn it does seem like it takes too long but really it doesn.... There is plently of other things to do in the game while waiting for that to finish..
