There's really no way of knowing who was on who's waters. I do find it interesting that this happens the day before the U.N. Security Council was to vote (and pass) new sanctions against Iran for their nuclear development.
Maybe someone is looking to have a little leverage against someone else?
(This happened in 2004, they blindfolded the 8 soldiers and had them apologize on T.V. before they released them...If I were British I would certainly be demanding retaliation... Sink 1 Iranian naval ship a day until the soldiers are returned maybe? Sounds good to me)

Um, sorry to break it to you but the UK as no will to do such things.
Maybe they will just talk about it instead. Like that ever done anything good.
It's pretty simple. There'll be a lot o' talkin' and a lot o' bitchin' and in the end those 15 guys will go home after a long while and it'll all be forgotten.
Those soldiers weren't necessarily in Iranian waters. Iran is claiming that they confessed to it (there's no proof that they did), but the U.K. still insists that they were not in Iranian waters.
Iran has admitted to be currently interrogating the soldiers, I sure hope they aren't torturing them, because if they are, they won't get away with it.
Who's invading who? America's invading Iraq ("Weapons of Mass Destruction"__Right__). Millions of Iraqis are getting tortured and killed by US troops and you are worried about 15 soldiers. Now granted no-one should be dying or getting kidnapped. But we are the ones doing this everyday to them. And all of sudden these 15 troops are a catastrophe to the war.
And no i dont support the war.
I support our country and the troops (That Dont Want To Go To War). Not The War.
I have lost faith in my country with all the fascism ,dictation and all the problems we have to fix.

Those two things that I highlighted from what you said, when taken in context together, don't make any sense to me.
It's like you're not just double talking but taking it on to triple talking. What do you mean by what you're saying?
You say we shouldn't be worried about 15 troops. Then you say you support the troops. Then you say you support the troops that don't want to go to war???
How do you know what the 15 troops who were captured feel about the war? When I was in the military and had to go to Iraq I don't remember ANY of my buddies who wanted to go to war. It's a scary factor that only someone who is insane would want to be in. But we joined the military knowing we had to take orders and we were there to deliver on a promise made to our country. And that promise included following the orders that come from our commander in chief and others above us.
You really shouldn't take the war out on the troops, any of them. You should worry about these captured soldiers. They have families and loved ones back home who are having to deal with this too. I think in our world today we become so isolated and spoon fed by our media that we forget the hard truth about other peoples lives and what they are going through.
Empathy is not a bad thing. It's a skill that when learned by individuals of a society does nothing but bring them closer together.
I don't support the war either. I thought it was a mistake from the get go. But I am not going to misplace the blame on the troops nor take away any of my concern for their well being and their families well being.

I support our country and the troops (That Dont Want To Go To War) -- By that i mean anyone who doesnt have a choice.
But i mean in the grand picture. Why are we only focusing on these 15 soldiers when there has been alot of soldiers that have died on both sides as well.-- While i do agree with you fully about how hard and what these families are going through , im only pointing out in the bigger picture of all the people - not just the 15 soldiers. Does that clear things up or do u still not understand what i'm saying?
Those 15 British sailors aren't going home anytime soon...they're being charged with espionage.
I heard about this as well. This is not good. Espionage usually is punishable by execution. If that happens, all hell will break loose. I get this funny feeling that Iran is making this happen on purpose.

You and I are on the same wavelength...I've had that same feeling ever since Ahmadinejad made his infamous "Wipe Israel off the map" statement!
it seems like every time the US appears to soften it's stance toward Iran the Iranians do something provocative.
Personally, I think Iran WANTS to go to war with the US...but why? I think I know why...but I dare not say it on these boards.

come on buddy dont leave us hanging speakth your mind
I hope for the soldiers and actually the whole world that they release them. Otherwise it's pretty obvious what's going to happen. A squadron of B2 stealth bombers is gonna carpet bomb their military and nuclear assets, and I'd like to see Iran try and stop them.
