If you’re on these boards and have a good reputation (e.g. Being non biased, rational when posting, and well know to the community) it’s more likely that people will listen to what you have to say. Sadly though if you haven’t been here even a month, It’s not likely that you have enough this reputation from the members where they would think about listening to what you have to say.
P.S. try to avoid the LEET speak when trying to make a point you want taken serious, and also try and be less condescending especially in your opening paragraph. It really will help more people listen to what you have to say then just ignoring what you have to say. (I know i have a problem with this too, but it really is one of the thing that helps the most)

Just today someone implied that myself and other new people were Brad McQuaid's "viral marketers," whatever the hell that means. I dont know about anyone else but I've signed up for forums just because I wanted to add my two cents to a certain thread and everyone's gotta start somewhere. The "holier than thou"attitude has been nothing short of over the top today.
I'll just never look down upon someone because of account age or number of posts. Thanks to this thread in particular I'm well on my way to hardcore! Though in fact I've been a member since the end of January.
I know that these flame posts arent going away. I have no illusions to the contrary. My intent was to jog people's train of thought, to perhaps make them more considerate the next time they post. This is especially so for a game such as vanguard that sparks such emotions.
I'll be out with it finally. I really didnt like the game at launch. I played through the open beta and yes, I to was disappointed by the lack of delivered promises, and appalled that Sigil released the game when they did. My biggest disappointment was the PvP balance; lack of PvP balance. They didnt open the PvP flagged server until 7 days before release! What kind of garbage is that?
That isnt to say I dont enjoy the game now that the show stopping bugs have been squashed. I was/am just sick of all the times I browse these forums, that no one has anything helpful to contribute, or rather that people are just plain mean for the sake of being mean to people who enjoy playing the game.

People dont have much of a place to go to communicate their concerns or their praise in an appropriate forum (and I dont mean webspace type forum). In the first paragraph you state anyone that dislikes VG is a no life EQ1 player that has no friends and never gets any. Oh yes way to make friends and win a arguement there. VG must be sooo cool.

Played it for a month and a half before cancilling my subscription, I tried to like it but its beta, and its broke and every patch they make drastic changes and break something else. Lets see last patch they removed item drop on death, But made teleporting to Talagonor instant death by placing the teleportal way above the ground so when you came through you feel to your death. Oh and lets also not forget the almost insta kill wand/stave bug.

Why is it exactly you feel you need to defend VG? You yourself say its a great game is that not enough for you? I personally like LoTRO better which you attacked in your OP I don't really feel the need to defend it though. Like with Brad trash talking DDO I don't see that as making VG seem any better. If anything it makes you look really insecure.

Warning: poster with less than 20 posts! Anyway, I haven't ever tried Vanguard, but I may want to soon depending on how far along it comes with fixes, etc.... Judging by the devs' notes on their weekly patches, they're fixing a lot pretty quickly. Coming from someone who hasn't played the game at any point, I'll tell you that it is pretty annoying when you're trying to find out some info on it, and you see the same people posting over and over about how much they hate this game, and how Brad Mcquaid ruined their life by lying to them, or whatever. When, if you look, you'll see that some of those pissed off posters stated that they uninstalled the game over a month before, or that they'll never play the game beyond beta. I even see a lot of posts like this: "From what other posters on these forums have said, this game sucks ass! I can't believe they think they can get away with releasing a game that still needs some work" - people that have never even played, but they they have some sort of hate-on for SOE because they ruined their Wooki Jedi, or something lame like that. It's time to put down the lightsaber, say "nanu-nanu", and get over it.

If there is a company that doesn't have some sort of viral marketing plan, they're either really small and behind the times, or have a shitty marketing team. Spoken like a true non-VG "player"...and yes ive died to characters who were a couple of levels lower than I. But Ive also held my own against players several levels above as well as multiples of same level. Heck a level 46 Paladin (supposedly the most broken PvP class due their uber damage output) took 6 hits before killing my L30 DSC (sans healing or he may have had to put a little more effort into it).
Every class has a "nemesis" or two, no class can beat all and most same level-range fights (give or take 4 levels) become hard-fought battles for either side so, whatever the eventual outcome, I personally find VG PvP interesting and FUN

My opinion is you can't slap on PvP to a game, and be off with it. If you want emphasis on PvP, then you have to build some gameplay around it. I hate to bring AoC up, but I have to, because there are separate feats for PvE and PvP. I find that logical, since PvP can be balanced, without nerfing classes in the PvE area.

I know that these flame posts arent going away. I have no illusions to the contrary. My intent was to jog people's train of thought, to perhaps make them more considerate the next time they post. This is especially so for a game such as vanguard that sparks such emotions.
I'll be out with it finally. I really didnt like the game at launch. I played through the open beta and yes, I to was disappointed by the lack of delivered promises, and appalled that Sigil released the game when they did. My biggest disappointment was the PvP balance; lack of PvP balance. They didnt open the PvP flagged server until 7 days before release! What kind of garbage is that?
That isnt to say I dont enjoy the game now that the show stopping bugs have been squashed. I was/am just sick of all the times I browse these forums, that no one has anything helpful to contribute, or rather that people are just plain mean for the sake of being mean to people who enjoy playing the game.

People dont have much of a place to go to communicate their concerns or their praise in an appropriate forum (and I dont mean webspace type forum). So we're left with generic sites like MMORPG or any of the other numerous MMO pages where fans and haters alike are thrown together.

In the first paragraph you state anyone that dislikes VG is a no life EQ1 player that has no friends and never gets any. Oh yes way to make friends and win a arguement there. VG must be sooo cool.
Then not happy with one insult you lead off your with your backup arguement that anyone who doesn't like VG never played it. I am soo tired of that lame arguement from the Vanbois. Played it for a month and a half before cancilling my subscription, I tried to like it but its beta, and its broke and every patch they make drastic changes and break something else. Lets see last patch they removed item drop on death, But made teleporting to Talagonor instant death by placing the teleportal way above the ground so when you came through you feel to your death. Oh and lets also not forget the almost insta kill wand/stave bug.

I personally like LoTRO better which you attacked in your OP I don't really feel the need to defend it though. Like with Brad trash talking DDO I don't see that as making VG seem any better. If anything it makes you look really insecure.

Warning: poster with less than 20 posts! Anyway, I haven't ever tried Vanguard, but I may want to soon depending on how far along it comes with fixes, etc.... Judging by the devs' notes on their weekly patches, they're fixing a lot pretty quickly. Coming from someone who hasn't played the game at any point, I'll tell you that it is pretty annoying when you're trying to find out some info on it, and you see the same people posting over and over about how much they hate this game, and how Brad Mcquaid ruined their life by lying to them, or whatever. When, if you look, you'll see that some of those pissed off posters stated that they uninstalled the game over a month before, or that they'll never play the game beyond beta. I even see a lot of posts like this: "From what other posters on these forums have said, this game sucks ass! I can't believe they think they can get away with releasing a game that still needs some work" - people that have never even played, but they they have some sort of hate-on for SOE because they ruined their Wooki Jedi, or something lame like that. It's time to put down the lightsaber, say "nanu-nanu", and get over it.

If there is a company that doesn't have some sort of viral marketing plan, they're either really small and behind the times, or have a shitty marketing team. I am actually enjoying watching the flaming spree that this game has created. Sure, I've flamed it and enjoyed flaming it, but I'm not going to just sit around and whinge about it. Every game has it's good points; unfortunately they have bad ones too.
