lol mmorpg rating is 7.8 for lotro while for other games is like 8.3
I'll blame it on them playing it on a shaudy computer. 7 for sound 8 for graphics I mean really no other games compete with the sound track or visuals currently. Yet others have gotten rated higher. Though if they beta tested the low-res client I could understand.

I dont hate it but considering what it is at right now i dont think it deserves a rtating over 7. When its seasoned a bit ill reevaluate but till then......so, wow, guild wars, eve, eq2 deserve a rating over 7, why lotro don't?

I don't put too much faith in anything on this site nowadays the rating will be trashed by trolls and their alts before morning I promise. As far as MMORPGs official review everyone is entitled to their opinion. Not sure how they can give service a 7 on release day unless they had issues though, guess she did not care for the community much either since she gave us all a 7.

The game will drop, but it will stay around the top 10. Even the Tolkien fans are impressed with the game. Plus, it will please casual gamers such as myself. The community in the game is also the best I have ever been a part of.
I think this game deserves to be on the top of the list for a while. Even those of you that feel the need to hate on the game have to admit that it sucks less than everything else. It isn't perfect. It's a little small in scope and scale overall... but it is only one day out the door, and running better than a lot of games do in their first several months. Maybe better than Vanguard ever will. Beyond that, it is pretty darn fun to play. I won a beta spot here six months ago and Have been as high as lvl 41... I am still enjoying playing just as much as when i first started. Not only is it a blast to play, and runing silky smooth, the game is simply gorgeous. I still stop and say wow once in a while looking a new spot in the world.
You guys can hate all you want, but this game is going to see a lot of success. While you guys sit here on the forums lashing out at people because your jealous that they found a game more fun than forum-wars... I'll be driving my hobbit through a sea of orcs and goblins, one knee-cap at a time

O the humanities or people bashing games they don't like so it raises the game they play higher. One reason you have to read reviews over going to this site and just looking at ratings as it doesn't limit accounts to IP's.

Which is why I made the joke that the bot programs haven't kicked in yet to lower the score I mean look at the stupid gold sellers spamming this site. Could they have crappier web designers here at MMORPG.com?

Either they should re-review older games, or they should rate the game, considering other games.

I have to say if LOTRO knocks off one of those CITY of HEROES/VILLAINS games id say LOTRO deservs to be in the top 6 just for that.

Faith in EA? Rofl. I haven't had faith in them since they fired all the original Origins guys and canceled all the team was working on. Yeah EA left a real bad taste in my mouth after the UO crap with UO:R then changing it to a completely different game at AoS.

EA didn't fire the Origins guys, most of them quit when EA started merging alot of their smaller outposts into their Cali and Orlando resort sized corporate buildings of mass evil. I don't like EA (i think ea learned their lesson with mmos thanks to UO which was already dying before they bought it anyway) either but I have faith in Mythic and most especially the owners of the IP GamesWork Shop! One of the oldest game making companies that hasn't sold out or gone under (as in table top / board game/ minatures).
Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

The rating of a game does not become statistically significant until 2,500 or more players have ranked the game.
So you may as well sit back and enjoy the game for a while and wait for people to rank it after they have had a taste...
