AND this is where the T20 incident becomes real... he gave 8-10 T2 bpo's to corpmates, blueprints that where illegal and stayed in the game for 6-8 months !!!!
Something else is how the favorism towards persons and corps have run, I keep dragging this SirMolle thing as SirMolle have signed the EULA he IS forbidden to name people, I have stated and quoted in a another thread from EULA that proves that SirMolle have broken it.
Mr. K... have also broken it and got punished for it with a ban, SirMolle however is still in the game!!!! guess who he is leader for ?.
According to the info posted by Kugutsumen they paid t20 for those BPO's, this means they put money from bob to a character no longer in the alliance and presumable deleted after it was discovered by ccp.
breaking the EULA once in many cases will not get you insta banned, doing it on numerous occasions will do it however. Breaking the eulo on the forums will most probably get you silenced on the forums or banned on the forums, rarely a character has been banned from the game just because of forum stuff, at least i know none. But I know plenty who have been perma banned from posting on the forums.
Does CCP lie? Yes, documented many times. Do CCP employees cheat? Yes also document many times. Do the GMs show favortism? Yes also documented, since 2003 to present.
Where is it?
and
Who documented it?
proof or stfu?
I read the admission to cheating from CCP themselves. On the Eve-Online forums. What amazed me next was that more was exposed later.
It is very easy to find information related to this subject using google and yahoo. More forums discussing this then I could read.
All this cheating talk is just a big pile of crap.
I hear everyone saying: CCP this and CCP that.
Now think:
If something happened it must have been a member or maybe some members of CCP, but CCP as a whole???
Suuuure, they want to get known as a bunch of cheater, sure they want to loose paying customers....
Its like all those idiots who say: sometimes they cut up coke with rat poison??? Never happened, but people believe it. Why was it never cut up with rat poison: because a dealer doesn't want to loose its customers.
I am quite certain some things happened, but not in the ammount that has been spreading.
I know, people looooove conspiracy theories, but sometimes there is actually no conspiracy at all, ok maybe 1% or so of the theory would be right.
Personnaly, i think some people want to black mouth CCP because they got banned for using exploits. I must admit, they're doing a good job.
And on the other hand: do you really believe that IF they happened they don't happen in any other MMO's??
Everywhere people exist evil things happen, its in our nature. So if the program isn't ran, created and updated by a computer, then things like that could happen.
which other MMOs have a single server world and around 30k subs? which other mmos would it matter or be noticed? give me a list; because i can certainly give you a list where it wouldn't. PLUS, and i'll say it again, name how many other games give a real world value to their ingame currency? project entropia does, and if they need money, they simply build a new mall or space station and put it up for auction. ccp cheats, repeatedly.
like i said before, we only know about what we know about. ccp admits they knew about the t20 thing for 6 months, before it spilled out to the public. keep in mind that during this time, and before, the head honcho at ccp stated, in no uncertain terms, that devs caught cheating would be fired on the spot. the head honcho at ccp lied, knowingly and willingly
then, they totally ignore the rest of the allegations that went with the t2 bpo producing (i.e. t20 overseeing certain of bod's capital-ship-piloting account sharing program), just flat out pretended those accusations didn't happen. but it's ok for bod to post K's phone number, name and encourage people to call him at work and try to get him fired. THAT is ok, but k gets banned for doing it.
anyone that can't put 2+2 together and come out with 4 DESERVES to have douchebags running their game and cheating. the rest of us don't deserve that kind of garbage. notice how i, and others, keep on bringing up different instances of cheating and such...
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?

does second life have devs doing things like in eve? or is second life more like project entropia in that respect?
could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
Second Life is advertised and it discloses that you can buy and sell virtual items for real money.
That is nothing like Eve, (where you can buy credits via their time card workaround, endorsed by CCP), and I have not seen any real mention of cheats, only angered players claiming they were somehow cheated and it had to be with the game managements help...never any proof.
Now with Eve, we have multiple admissions from CCP that they knew/know they had/have cheating employees in the game, and half a year later they decide to intervene and remove the cheats that they could. They also admitted to giving one group; information while never making that information public knowledge for all the players to access; rare items and access to events others would never know about; game structures were introduced to their friends space that provided a source for their friends to build a powerful army.
Not proper for any company to behave such as this.
I am sorry that CCP feels others are picking on them, but by all accounts, CCP has earned the disdain of their customers.
They have set up someone to over see their employees play, but this person has been silent so far after he asked for people to provide questions. (have I missed the post somewhere that answered these?)
I will say, it is quite fun to monitor this tale of CCP cheating, and it is free.

Well you then need to look harder many stories of second life based banks suddenly disapearing witha ll the money going to the former bank executives. And there are all the Pyramid Schemes that yuo find there. And there are the Hard core porn buildings that practice virtuall sex with what sometimes looks like very small adults [i wont say it out loud its evil]. Of course the second life owners wont admit any of this themselves as it would ruin them but the chrimes do ahppen in second life. Whats worse about it is it involves real money. And not just subscription fees but plot rentalls and other investments. A CCP dev may have broken the rules but at least CCP's CEO admited it <Mod edit>
uh second life has some nasty things going on with it. Including one issue where a player sued the developers for removing the ownership of property in the game that he was sitting on with high demand for development. There are problems in that game too and some of them are more of a issue than the t20 BPO crap.
A CCP dev may have broken the rules but at least CCP's CEO admited it Bawldry.
wasn't a dev that tried to save bod's shipyard, that was a gm. isd doesn't have devs does it? kieron and his cohorts in asshattery?
the list is far too long to even try to repeat again, of all the staff/volunteers that cheat willy-nilly at ccp. look at the other post, what kind of bullshit "reason for banning" is that? oh, iceland is melting because someone said kugutsumen???????
if ccp = iceland, then it's time to nuke iceland from the face of the planet and end the misery and stupidity now. as it stands, the staff of ccp needs a few minutes alone with an incredibly large pack of very hungry wolves... 12 foot tall wolves with two heads each. and make that a few days, in an arena, with no place to run and no place to hide, and armed/clothed only with a loin cloth (ccp staff and volunteers), in the snow.

First The GM tried ot make the battle playable, unlike the LV shipyard battle of lets see who can survive the most node crashes to win.
Second, after all the crap that was being said in that channel, I say good for you GMs. An obvious sarcastic and harsh response to people that didn't pay attention to the first 7 Stop spamming or you will be banned messages.

Conspiracy theories my friend.
The battle of the shipyard, they reduced the number of limit so that the node didn't crash. Which worked and everyone could continue PvPing until the shipyard blew. If I was a GM I would have done the same thing. Is not against the rules to make a place playable and avoid ruining everyone's fun. Coalition lost many capital ships? Well, was to be expected. It's a war.
I don't condone cheating... However, CCP said they dealt with the cheat by punishing the cheating Dev and removing the cheats. Yes, they might have done it late. But they did something about it. Now if you don't believe on their word, there is a simple thing you can do. Quit paying for your account and move on.
There are many companies who cheat in RL, which is worst. Some cheat with underhanded methods, others with legal terms. If you quit using products or services of all the companies that have cheated, you'll end up as a hermit in an unknown land making your own stuff. You will even have to cheat animals with underhand tactics if you want to eat and survive.
In terms of other companies cheating, well, you have SOE and Linden Labs. SOE, they love to hide behind their PR and they love to screw customers over and over; they don't admit to anything. Linden Labs, is knee deep in several suits concerning fraud; someone mentioned one of the suits here.
uh second life has some nasty things going on with it. Including one issue where a player sued the developers for removing the ownership of property in the game that he was sitting on with high demand for development. There are problems in that game too and some of them are more of a issue than the t20 BPO crap.
Oh I have seen many instances like that, but not outright cheats and exploits.
I tried 2nd Life and it is not a childs game, it was set up for adults. The reason I disliked it was the crossover to ones personal life (buy and sell virtual things for real money). I wish to play MMO's for the fun and to break away from life for a short bit, not to be introduced to new instances of life in a game. (as you say, "real" types of things do happen in the game).
Adult content otherwise was expected. The ability to be held accountable by you customers is displayed by the case you mentioned, and that is a good thing as it sets a precedence. I still would not recommend 2nd life to anyone in good conscience.
I tried second life once and was disgusted with the 'content'. I started in a zone filled with casinose, there was even an interesting pyramid one then as i flew on and got semi used to the horrable loading lag of the structures parts i encountered my first almost invisible wall. These are basically invisible wall with the words "NO ENTRY" or words to that effect. Then once i finally found a way arround [the lag was very bad and i kept on bumping off buildings and no entry walls that hadant loaded up fully] i encountered my first sex shop After that i soon found my first orgy a bunch of naked Dwarfs [or fat children] being done by a load of varied avitars.
Second life is a terrable game really and i agree with crustynuts in that this is one to avoid.

Is not totally terrible, know a few people that run their own business and with that pay all their gaming needs. You just need to find the places you would like to hang out, and find like minded individuals. I had no trouble running it, but then I have a good rig.
Many universities use several sims for education, which makes it real good.
Well i certainly had trouble finding anything id enjoy. I guess it was partly because the titorial isant the best ive seen. I was basically flying around in random directions almost.
this is so played out. the subject is only for the ones with no lives and nothing better to do then bitch and complain about something so old. please go out and get laid or something and stop crying.
Sure the subject has been beaten to death, but to act as though it never happened or is continueing to happen is equally absurd. CCP has a track record to prove the case/cases against them and hasn't shown any real definitive strides toward preventing any future occurances. Its hardly a tinfoil hat issue but more as in some respondants cases a matter of pulling your heads out of the sand or where ever else they've been buried and admitting theres a problem. When that day comes to pass then maybe you'll stop seeing large numbers of finger pointing threads.
Eve has become a catbox rather than a sandbox enviroment and will remain so until they do the right thing and apply the rules equally accross the board. To continue to do otherwise just justifies the continueing rant threads and doesn't give the Eve community much to stand on for the high ground.
To all the tinfoil hatterz in this thread, I have one thing to say to you;
BITTER MUCH???????

Belive me if even halph the stories ive seen on the net and read in newspapers are true EvE has got nothing on this one in terms of dev cheating.
Which is not suprising considering the design of the game.
