i mean look at all the posts they are locking or deleting from these vsoh forums. not a word on why they are deleted nor any real reason to other then it is possibly lowering the chances that sigil will get new customers unaware of all the crap the goes on with this game. its obvious whos taking it up the poop shoot here now. first mmorpg.com with their trojans and now this. good job guys.
think the players should know everything possible about this dark and light remake. this site used to be the best but now with your gold seller ads using your site to launch key loggers and what not is disturbing.

Lol the very idea... you must be really paranoid to really think a game company would pay money to every forum for such things! I know in America conspiracy theories are popular, but this is really a bit too far. Why dont you stick to the "UN troops have an army under the Rocky Mountains, ready to invade USA" - conspiracy. I think I am going to have to side with the site, freedom of speech is not stifled but profanity and personnal attacks are not allowed, which is perfectly fine by me, and anytime I have gotten busted it has been rightfully so, lol.
well if these guys take money from gold sell / account leveler sites because "it pays the bills" then why would tney not take money from legit companies to make sure the negative comments about their game remains under wraps? im not talking about every forum, just the ones that matter to sigil/soe and those other game companies that mister admin talks about.
they have money for advertising so why not throw it this way where the majority of mmo players come. hey "it pays the bills".
I am one of the people that lost my WOW account due to this sites bs trojan crap and blizz will do nothing about it. and before you say why not use a virus scanner bla bla. i do but when i play mmo's including a 20gb mmo there is no way in hell im leaving that running.
not to mention i dont go to any other sites other then my email, this site and file planet. so why worry about getting trojans?
well i was stupid in thinking that cause what should have been a very trusting site infected me. already used microsofts anti-phishing to report this site. whether it was an angered gold seller or this site itself that put that trojan up, it dont matter to me, 2 and a half years of paying blizzard and all the time spent on my character ruined from this "trusting site". and no i dont use 3rd party apps what so ever. so you can see where my "tinfoil hat" came from. thanks.

The point is valid though. We get accusations like this DAILY and referencing a different company every time. "You took money for this review" or "SOE paid you to delete my post" or "your looking through my window at night while I sleep, aren't you!" - so if all these are true then pretty much every game company and us included are corrupt.
Ask yourself. Would these companies actually risk their reputation to extend such a bribe? I mean the truth is we would expose them as crooks, if for no other reason it would be the story of the century - and we are a media site looking for loads of traffic. Or, would I actually tell a site volunteer moderator "hey, delete all bad posts about SOE games, and don't ask me why" - these people are volunteers - I highly doubt they would keep such a thing under wraps. One of the great thing about conspiracy theories is they fail to look at the blatantly obvious fact that people cannot keep their mouths shut...you can't have these major secrets that supposedly many people know about without some kind of leak. It is easy to just accuse someone or a business of some crooked deed with zero evidence and of course many jump on the bandwagon because it is fun and everyone loves a good witch hunt.
We make a decent businessselling ad space here, and the demand for it is far exceeding our supply of it - we don't need to take bribe money - not that we would ever do such a sick thing.
I mean - really, if we did not allow free speech here (within our rules) would I not have deleted this very topic?
Some other facts for the OP:
1) We have not had a goldseller ad on this site for over 5 months. However, we still have no policy against them...they are just not interested anymore in paying our "surcharge" for such ads.
2) We had nothing to do with the trojan attack on our site...it was planted in our servers by some group based out of China. Dear god man, do you actually thing we would do such a thing? We shut this site down after the final attack for THREE DAYS to move all of our servers behind a firewall and completely re-designed our network - to the tune of thousands of dollars in hardware and lost operating revenue.

Why the hell would MMORPG.com sabotage themselves, lol. Wouldnt that be kind of counter-productive?
And why would MMORPG.com use this site to launch key loggers to get game accounts and stuff? They arent crooks, theyre a news site... I mean, they probably get beta access before any of us. Why would they want our accounts, I think it would be the other way around. I would want that Warhammer WAR beta account theyve probably got before 99% everybody else.
Oh and about the hackers coming from China: Why am I not surprised...

However, to be fair, ignorance (and flaming and flat-out dishonesty) has been commonplace in the Vanguard section at MMORPG, and I hope we can disagree without being disrespectful.
I have to agree though with the OP that I'm strongly against ad of goldsellers on this site or any other. Not only becouse they do ruin an ingame economy, but it's illigal for almost all games. With this I mean that MMORPG.Com does activily enforces NDA, but seems to advirtise for sites (or did) who breach the EULA

The answer to that question is Yes. Sony in natorious for shaddy business practices, for example.
