Until I see what kinds of classes will be available to the Dark Elves, I can't say for sure what I'll play. Right now, I'm leaning towards Greenskins. I had been interested in the Chaos Zealot initially from the way they'd described him as using scare-crow totems and such, but now that they've revealed the specifics of the class I'm disappointed. Sounds lame. I might actually play one of the Empire classes, even though I generally never play as "the good guys" in an MMO.

How's this for an idea... how about if Mythic "caps" each side...initially say 2000 thousand characters of each side...and when one side gets to the limit... no more new characters until the other side begins to match it..then the caps can come off.
Just trying to find a way to reduce imbalances between sides.... I've played too many games that haven't solved that problem ....
I realy hope they don't put in any incarnation of racial population caps in, it has NEVER worked in any game before.
Problems:
What if i want to play a Chosen of chaos...But the chaos population reached its limit? i'll be either forced to play a totaly different class, go to another server, and/or just wait till i can make the character i want. With every race having vastly different classes, this is much more then a simple change of scenery.
What about Alts? Why should i be prevented from making a Chosen of Chaos because there are 5000 other people on the server who made Chaos alts?
Abuse. When games, particularly PvP games, have used these racial population caps they have always been abused. What is to prevent somone from making a ton of alts of a particular race/class to prevent other people from making that race/class.
Most "modern" games don't use these game mechanics for a reason. Instead they favor encoraging a more natural balance...and to be honest, alot of players do to. For example, In this very thread there are people who have already decided to roll the unplayed race/class.
I want to play Chaos, darkelf or ork....but if it becomes clear that they outnumber the races of order by a large margin, then i'll be rerolling very fast.

Well I was going to play Dark Elves cause thats my tabletop army but if they include witch elves itll be where all the teenagers go to run around as a scantily clad female. Empire Warrior Priest would have to be my second choice without seein what choices the elves have.

Sorry but these guys look like some BAMF's. I want some in game shots of these guys in full plate ready to whip some ass. I've always been a Barbarian kinda guy but the Empire isn't a stereotypical Human civilization like that seen in WoW or DAOC so get stoked.
I bet the elves, especially the Dark Elves, are going to attract A LOT of attention once some screens and info comes out about them.
To be honest its really hard to resist favoring any particular race, each is so damn cool in the Warhammer lore.
I'll play a Dark Elf. I haven't decided the careeryet, because I want to see more information about them on their website.
