    Go to www.progarchives.com, select one of the prog genres and click play on the streaming music and see what takes your fancy. I've come across some great albums that way.

    Cradle of Filth (Thornography is good, not realy new anymore but if you dont have it you may like it)

    Holy shit, there must be a lot of angry, rebellious teenagers in this thread. I had a friend that liked metal, I always gave him shit because he thought he was a badass. I think metal is the worst genre of music, bar none. It takes no musical or rhythmical talent to make metal. Anyone can scream and play the same three or four power chords. I think it's hilarious, because to me, it's very emo. It's just a bunch of teenagers listening to it to 'rebel' against authority, although in reality they're all pussies.

    And I could keep going all day...One band I did not recomend to get any songs from is a Emo band called "My Chemical Romance" since they are labeled as "Rock/Metal" but alot of radio stations and people have discussed them and agreed upon the term Emo to describe them. Also they attended this metal only concert in england, and went right up after Slayer and were thrown stuff like tomatoes, cabbagaes and as far as being thrown bottles filled with urine at them. Plus there music sucks..
