Turbine are uptight pricks, I told someone in game to Die In Real Life.... And had a GM contact me about it twice, and then another different higher up GM contact me too lol....
Your an idiot. You do realize if Turbine hadn't done something to you and that person did die in real life for whatever reason lawyers would be up there ass with a lawsuit. You are just plain dumb.
You cannot, dumb ass... but i appreciate your thoughts and by that - I mean, no I don't at all.
Actually , in America, you could be sued if that person died, maybe 24 hours of when you typed that message. Some kind of conspircy charge would of been field by the family.
Haha, yes. I mean, America is prolly the only nation where a person can sue a company because hot coffee has not the warning "hot" in the cup. What do you expect?

Here just to clear it up for people who don't understand lawyers. You tell someone to die in RL. They go and kill themselves. The police conduct an investigation and find that someone told them to die in RL. The police find that the company in charge of the game did nothing to resolve the situation. They also figure out who it was that said it. Now it's in the lawyers hands and both parties would be at fault. The person who told them to and the company that did nothing to stop it. Hopefully this clears things up so you understand where I am coming from. Also we all know lawyers can figure out a way to sue someone, no matter the situation. Also you didn't tell them to drop dead you told them "To go die in REAL LIFE." There are several lawsuits out there that you can search on the internet for similar cases.
Thanks for the laugh. It clears things up very well. You have absolutely no clue about law, thats what is clear .
I reread my first post and fully understand that I did not communicate why I cancelled over no new servers. As the other poster above also stated, I cancelled the subscription until new servers would be released. I decided to leave the game altogether because of the rampant topic closure on a new game and what was new discussion to those of us who were not in beta. Sorry I was not clear about this.
The only reason this is spilling over here is because I was not even allowed to talk about the thread closures over at LOTRO forums. Ok, take the new server talk out of the equation, we were now not even allowed to question the moderators actions. This was the only place I could broach the topic. That is why it was brought up here.
I too agree that aggressively opening too many servers is a huge mistake, but we are talking about launch. Despite what some others have said, no new servers were opened for launch, and yes I agree their real mistake was opening up too many in beta.
It is becoming a dead horse but it felt good to vent about it somewhere where MMO'ers can talk openly.

Hahaha, a lawsuit on what ground? Telling someone on the Internet to drop dead?
I don't know what scary ass lawyers you know, but that seems just a tad bit far fetched.
my Brother wished someone dead, and actually the police talked to him about it, he told them that unless they thought he had some psychic power that was able to kill people, that just wishing someone dead wasn't grounds for anything....
Unless you had some active physical action that resulted in that person's death, like hiring a hitman or messing with their car breaks, using a gun on them, or poisoning their food then I doubt just wishing someone dead is actionable....
There are many frivilous law suits out there, but just because you can sue anyone in America for pretty much anything doesn't mean your going to win, and its possible that the judge could hold the person who is sue-ing in contempt for bringing a frivilous lawsuit into being.
if you wished someone dead and then they committed suicide, you might be sued over it, but I doubt you'd be convicted over just wishing someone dead.
On these grounds, I wish you'd all drop dead.
========================== The game is dead not, this game is good we make it and Romania Tv give it 5 goat heads, this is good rating for game.

Apparently, you have not played Eve Online. Dictatorships provide more freedom of speech that the forum moderators there.
