So..... a 70v70 once in a blue moon is not somthing I would say is good, it infact tells me how low the population must be now especially when the game is 99% catered to PVP'ers.

A CEO saying the game is healthy does not prove the health of a game.
So what in the hells does prove the health of a game then? It's simple -- a community that isn't tearing itself apart at the seams and seeking superiority at (almost) any cost. If a community has to resort to defiance of criticism that is ample validation that something is indeed wrong, even if it's not the topic currently being debated. Some of the anti-vet flames in these forums are absolutely childish. All in all, communities that are doing "well" don't have to worry about flames because players will pick up the game and instantly get absorbed, well away from the forums.
My point is that all of this crap is pointless. I've seen an increase in completely idiotic trolling over the past week or so, and I really wish it would stop. You joined the forums today to defend a fragging video game, for pete's sake! Every game has mixed reviews, and "this game is dead" is no more or less valid than "this game is bursting at the seams."
These lovely MMORPG forums are meant to allow discussion of MMO mechanics and games. Flames just dilute the actual, complete discussion -- which consists of both "nge sucks" and "nge works," the negative and the positive -- and continue to make the SWG player base look bad. Honestly, if you feel the game is so great, why not play and contribute to the game instead of pissing on ex-players on "neutral" forums? There are standards of conduct that exist outside of the game world and the game's official forums; Fanaticism only gets communities so far before it starts making people look like assholes, and for no good reason at that!
To all you folks saying "get over it" and whatnot, well, I think it is incredibly shortsighted and I really hope for your sakes that history doesn't repeat itself, but I don't discount your opinion. You're entitled to an opinion, as are people who disapprove of SOE and the NGE.

I would say an unhealthy game is one that has a constant turnover in developers. This is a sign as much as a community. On to the health of the game issue I don't need screenshots. The game wasn't viable with pre-cu at 200k subscribers and I highly doubt its viable at its reduced NGE numbers. I don't know what the debate on the topic is for NGE players. The supporters are not arguing that the population is similar in size to the numbers seen before the NGE. If they are then just ignore there opinions because SWG peaked a long time ago in subscribers. It is on the down side of its life cycle. It doesn't mean its shutting down tomorrow, but it is taking the long walk to the gas chamber.
Even if the subscribers get a few bumps every publish in subscribers it simply isn't going to be enough to stop end. The size and scope of those who once played swg is pretty significant. What 1 million copies sold or something to that effect? Each publish before never energized the game. No future publish I see in the works is going to change the slow MMO sub bleed. Unless of course they drastically change positions on Pre-CU which I don't think will happen.
Look its like Monopoly. There is "new" Monopoly, its the same game as old monopoly but different. New monopoly sucks. Its the same game you say. Not to me it isn't. That is the same mentality the NGE swg has to overcome. I'd rather play the classic version even if 100 dollars for a property is absurd today.
Now onto your last point which I think is the crucial key NGE's miss. Gamers trust or lack of trust. Certain companies like LA gamers don't trust to release quality games. Mostly because LA has burned them a bunch of times before with title after title of terrible games. Atari got to be the same way. Companies like Rock Star Games people trust. SOE might well be the largest whores in the video game business. I can think of no more dispised company in the gaming industry then SOE. I mean I really wanted to try Everquest. I honestly did. There policy of expansion money grap after expansion money grab made me stay miles away.
SOE did a similar thing with everquest before SWG. Its well known for doing shady things. Then you take swg and pull an NGE on its vets, who you know are star wars fans and expect them to keep ponying up? Pfft.
SoE's rep is well earned and well deserved. You should stay away from that companies titles. Maybe if soe tried 1 time to repair its own actions some of us would give them a fair shot. Seriously though? No appology, they don't listen and frankly they just don't get it.

All I've seen this week is the People in Mos Eisley on the Legacy Quests, and a few in Theed PVPing. Everywhere else is NPC ville for the most part. As for if thats good or bad I'll not comment on that at this time. This is just an observation from this weekend.

I can only control myself, so you can't lump me in with everyone else. I sincerely thank you. Frankly, I am embarassed at some of the people who keep crossing over and messing with the current forum. It has just gotten tiresome. People who enjoy the game now have the right to discuss it over there. They have made the refuge so pissed off players can rant and vent.
