I agree with the above poster. This game, in its current state, isn't worth a dollar. I completely regret wasing 60 bucks and was glad I quit before my free month ended. I didn't realise the quality of a game could be so bad. Especially since its still a damn beta and they expect you to pay for it! IMO you're better off waiting for a free trail or at least try to get a buddy key. Or wait 6 months and see if this trainwreck has been fixed up.

Well i understand if people do not read quest it might look like you explain but those that actualy read the quest atleast as far i know do not have such experiance like you do. I do know some grind quest to get Unicorn or Blood hound but thats still miles away from my lvl and no need to rush the game for it. OR! you are doing the crafting grind from hell!!! do 19 billion work orders and you will get to lvl 10! and make absolutely nothing and get nothing but some chump change in return and an ass load of complications! So you actualy did not really craft else you would have know that the things you can make early on are already some nice items, simple facts: Tailor-bags harvesting cloth which atm is high demand / Armorsmith all sorts of armor already good for low lvl characters and better then whats looted at those lvl's including weapons (sure you have those that do not take the time to actualy make the items we are able to make as they want a master crafting titel asasp and then say Damn i'm bored from all that clicking.. Might be different at the higher lvl's but thats not mmorpg play for me i like to play the life of the character not just hit buttons and lvl till end game, i would play a single player game or regular rpg if i want that. It's funny that it's unnecessary to explain what the community is like, as you can tell from the comments. It's fine to disagree, but if your only "proof" that someone is wrong is to call them a liar, even when they're argument is backed up, then it's plainly clear people aren't afraid to stoop to WoW's level of idiocy.

The OP asked whether or not he should buy the game and we are giving our opinions. Sometimes people feel so strongly about being mislead and ripped off by a horrid product they want to warn others from buying the same product. And some people don't believe in buying something that is only "great potential." If that makes you happy, good for you. But for most people, it's the now that matters. Empty promises of what could be are not enough to warrent a monthly subscription. Make a crappy first impression and most people will never come back, right? Just look what happened to EQ2. I remember trying the free trial during its early days and it was terrible. I decided to give it another chance and found the game to be much improved but most people would never do that; the first impression was poor and people felt disappointed and left. I think this is the current situation for VG, it'll probably be a whole lot better in the future but I don't believe in continuing to pay for something that's in a half-assed state and merely "potential."

Above all else, you can absolutely Solo in Vanguard; if you could not, I would not bother with the game. In fact, Soloers are respected in Vanguard as you have solo Quests, solo epic Quests (for mounts and gear), and solo missives (that you can obtain comparable gear in terms of group Quests).

and yeah i was under a certain impression of what the game was going to be like according to all the damn q&a's and faqs and all that stupid crap that sigil had been doing years prior to beta/release. and the game they produced is nothing like what they advertised in the beginning. and no playing a single player game wouldnt do it for me bud, considering i play mmo's for the content single player games cant offer and the oh so fun community of people you get to meet in mmo's
and ive read many posts from a whole variety of people with different systems from high end to my crap ass low end specs and most of them couldnt run the game the way any of them were hoping to. and even on low end it still lagged like a bitch. and i didnt want to play vanguard cause it was so high demanding as you said. i played cause it seemed to be the game i was hoping to play since i discovered mmo's.

I started with a normal discussion but then you came back with this ignorant BS about vanboi's . That is what makes it ignorant if you had clicked my name looked at a few post you would have know better then to call me a fanboi. Also let me be clear that 20% of what the "haters" say .. I'm not talking about the bugs and other issues Vanguard still has. So again its ignorrant for people to even consider me calling a vanboi. It only means they have a hard time dealing with honost people. And if you where able to read my reply or even other post i do consider myself a very honost person and if you feel that this is because it makes me feel better then again it would be very ignorant to even consider that being honost will not do that for me . Ok, some of you left the game early and felt bitter about it.
But why keep bashing on a game you no longer play ?
Most of your gripes have been fixed or will be fixed soon ... really.
And you only need a decent (not super) PC to run the game ...
This game may be unfinished but at least it's refreshing, challenging and has great potential (not just extra quests but major changes like in team PvP) .
your so called normal conversation seemed like cheap shots on my credibility about what i do and do not know about how the game works. and im not going to spend extra time clicking your name and doing a backround check on your posts through out this site. and the reason you seem so gungho vanboi'ish is cause you refuse to even admit that there is problems with this game, major problems.

It's wrong to post how great and super wonderful fun time a game is to people who are looking to try it out and not tell them the problems and REAL state of the game. Some of these people are going to go out and spend close to $100 to get this game and register their accounts just to find out what us "ignorant haters" said was true.
The OP asked whether or not he should buy the game and we are giving our opinions. Sometimes people feel so strongly about being mislead and ripped off by a horrid product they want to warn others from buying the same product. And some people don't believe in buying something that is only "great potential." If that makes you happy, good for you. But for most people, it's the now that matters. Empty promises of what could be are not enough to warrent a monthly subscription. Make a crappy first impression and most people will never come back, right? Just look what happened to EQ2. I remember trying the free trial during its early days and it was terrible. I decided to give it another chance and found the game to be much improved but most people would never do that; the first impression was poor and people felt disappointed and left. I think this is the current situation for VG, it'll probably be a whole lot better in the future but I don't believe in continuing to pay for something that's in a half-assed state and merely "potential."
