Same here, except I don't like Questing that much. I do prefer to take my own way, like I did in SWG. Spent all my time harvesting, working my business with clients and such. Oh and helping the city out. Loved it too.
@Kyleran no you are wrong, SOE can't do ANYTHING, just like blizzard can't do anything to shutdown a emu. The whole idea of the emulators is just that, make something that will give you the same experiance without voiding any laws, and thats why there hasn't been any servers taken down of any MMO game that use a emulator(L2 Extreme used the leaked NCsoft server).
Oh and by the way emulators don't use any resources made by the original developer, the user that plays on the private/emulated server uses it.

The interesting difference here juju is that the game being emulated no longer exists. it would be interesting to see how soe would do in court on this one.
You know I find it funny. I have been reading these forums and the SWG forums for years without saying anything. But I just can't hold it in any longer. I have played SWG since Beta and even though there have been alot of changes I find it interesting that everyone is still whinning about it years after it has taken place. I think the thing I find most amussing is the fact that everything that was given was asked for by the community. You asked for it to be more balanced so they tried to do so with CU upgrade you got that and continued to whine, then they tried again with NGE and everyone whines and says they didn't tell us about it. Well hate to tell you this but they did on the forums maybe you should have read closer. Now they continue to improve the game and give people back things they want and guess what you still whine.
If you are so sad and disgruntedled about it just let it go and move on. I for one have been on testcenter trying the new BM and it works better then the old CH. Am I saying the game is perfect no, but in game turms it is still by far one of the best games out there in my opinion. Now I realize everyone has the right to thier own opinion about a game but after a year why can't we move on an release all the anger we have becuase a company tried to make a game better for it's people.

Incase you didn't read the forum you're in "SWG Veteran Refuge" which "....is for disgruntled players to discuss the game that was and the game it now is..". If you want to be a cheerleader for the game, then maybe direct your positive energy to the "SWG Current" forum.

interesting post. i dont remember a single person EVER asking for his/her profession to be removed from the game entirely. nor do i remember anyone asking for a complete revamp of game mechanics, TWICE no less...
i do remember ppl asking for content and bug fixes, which they are JUST NOW starting to address. and if you think SOE made these changes "better for its people" you are delusional. the changes were made to cut way back on dev salaries and development costs, and as a (failed) attempt to copy a game which was outselling swg. nothing more, nothing less. sorry to bother you, you may go back to your dreamworld now .
I haven't found a game as good as SWG pre-cu was. I don't think I ever will. This is because I LOVE star wars, not the new star wars movies, but the originals and the novels written by Timothy Zahn that occur after episode VI.
Since the CU has came out, I have been playing Dark Age of Camelot classic servers and it is really fun. DAOC is not a WOW clone, it was released back in 2001 and the characters are not cookie cutter, it is a good game. I hope this helps.
I really wish people who clearly had never known anything about what happened with the NGE would quit telling us to get over it and get over it themselves, they didn't have a great community taken from them, they didn't have an entire game taken from them (with no refunds I might add) and they sure as hell didn't have to deal with the fanbois and then SOE employees stating everythings working as intended.

SWG ADDICT...clean since the NGE
