Being a conservative christian myself, Rev Jerry Falwell gave Christianity a bad name (just as Rev Al Sharpton gives Civil Rights a bad name).
That man was very condemning. Even against other christians. He once compared Billy Graham (the most respected Christian in America) as the Chief Servant of Satan in America. Said the purple Telli tubbie was gay, said that a Jew will more than likely be the Anti Christ, called Jimmy Baker a cancerous tumour on the body of christ and then proceeded to beat a down man even harder. Matter of fact here are a few quotes by him:
“[homosexuals are] brute beasts...part of a vile and satanic system [that] will be utterly annihilated, and there will be a celebration in heaven
He said that about people like me?
I don't understand this whole Christian thing. I've met very few Christians around me who actually practice Christianity. They call themselves something they can't accept in other words.
I don't see how a man can say stuff like that and get away with calling himself a "Reverend". That's not something Jesus would want him to teach in his name.
Even if he disagrees with homosexuality, that's taking it to an extreme that places it outside of a Christian attitude towards the whole thing. And he's certainly not going to win any converts in the process. Instead he's going to cause even more hardship and pain on a group of people because of the way they happened to be born.
I just can't accept someone who says stuff like that as being a kind or Christian person. That's some scary rhetoric.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson call themselves reverends and they are 2 of the most racists hyopcrits on the planet.
God I hope Pat Robertson is next!!
Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
In my Christian days, the book of Matthew was my favorite book of the Bible. I tried very hard to memorize chapter seven, because I have known rage and hatred all my life. Indeed the chapter is chastisement against hate and accusation. I never quite memorized all of it, but I remember some. I definately remember the first words:
"Judge not, that ye be not judged."
Thusly, to commemorate this man's passing, I quote again from his hallowed book, from that important chapter in my past:
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Hypocrites, charlatans, buffoons, media-whores, race-baiters? Yes...but I'm unaware exactly how one could consider Jackson and Sharpton racists. Enlighten me.
As for Pat Robertson, dude is almost 80...he'll be in the ground with his kindred spirit, Mr. Falwell, very soon.
The funniest thing about Falwell's death is the interview he gave to CNN about a week before his death relating his struggle to the Biblical story of Hezekiah (wiki it if you don't know), and how he had prayed to God recently for another 15 years to make his vision reality...then, not soon after, he croaks. I'm an atheist, but that's pretty damn coincidental; it's almost like God struck him down out of sheer irony .

According to this survey, I'm an item-whoring ganker. I guess I should have stuck with WoW then...lmao.

Has this man done his Lord's work?
