I have no problem with just adding in commas, periods or spaces to represent every 3 decimal places. Heck, can even have an option that sets a threshold -- "prompt me to confirm over x influence for a consignment transaction". Just figure, if they're going to put a hook into the system, might as well make it consistent....after all, some would argue that losing a few thousand is just as bad as loging a few million. ( ' :
Ok Rwyan, So players will put something up for sale for very cheap being they don't think someone will pay more for it like you wrote. So how is this win/win like the other guy stated? In this case the seller which may be you yourself loses out or the buyer loses if he over-bids and again the buyer may be you yourself too. Definitely not a winning situation for anyone.
If I put something up for 10 and it sells I am happy. If I didn't know it was worth 10,000 I am still happy. I got what I wanted for it.

...which is basic game theory, economics 101. If both parties agree to conduct the transaction, then the seller and buyer are both "satisfied" with the price sold and paid, respectively.
I think the auction house system is pretty good. It adopts Final Fantasy XI auction house system. This system discourages auction house players (you know those people who try to buy low and sell high screwing newbie players in the process) so only those who genuinely needs the item gets it. Influence is pretty easy to get once you hit high levels, I mean... it's pretty easy most high level players have over abundance of influence (we're talking about 30-50 million+). If you have high level friends most are probably willing to share a few hundred grand of influence with you.
