Why did the judge increase her sentence though? It wasn't her fault that she got put into house arrest. If he wanted to punish anyone for that he should have gone after the sheriff who let her go. I think maybe he let his anger get the best of him or wanted to make some kind of tough guy portrayal for the cameras.
I actually kind of feel sorry for her. I don't know what being her is like or growing up like her. I know she needs to learn that she is not above the law, but I also don't feel like it's right to make fun of her or hope the worse. I hope she straightens herself out and makes a good person of herself and gets the help she needs. I heard on the news today that she is a very depressed person, even before this. We've all heard that having that much money is not all roses and happiness, and it's proven true all the time. She was born into that, so she hasn't known any different. The world must seem very different to someone if that's all they've known. But you can't despise her for that. Her crimes, yeah she was wrong, but judging her is wrong too.

Yes, and if society keeps enabling her behaviour, she will never change. That goes for anyone really. Crying and throwing a tantrum is her defensive mechanism to get what she wants when all else fails.

Sept. 7: Officers arrest Paris Hilton in Hollywood, Calif., for investigation of driving under the influence after she was spotted “driving erratically.” Sept. 26: Hilton is charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence. Jan. 15: Hilton is pulled over by the California Highway Patrol and informed that her license is suspended. She signs a document acknowledging she is not to drive. Jan. 22: Hilton pleads no contest to a reduced charge of alcohol-related reckless driving. She is placed on three years’ probation, ordered to enroll in alcohol education and pay $1,500 in fines. Feb. 27: Hilton is ticketed for misdemeanor driving with a suspended license. A copy of the document signed Jan. 15 is found in her glove compartment. March 29: The city attorney’s office says it will ask a judge to revoke Hilton’s probation. May 3: Prosecutors recommend Hilton serve 45 days in jail for a probation violation. May 4: Judge Michael Sauer sentences Hilton to 45 days in jail.
This is why she should be in jail. Repeated violations of the law, and an obvious disregard for the law. Plenty of wealthy people manage to both respect and adhere to the law. I have no ill-will toward George Lucas, Stephen Speilberg, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates...etc. The list goes on.
I wonder how many of those you feel no ill will towards did not start out being rich. And also, how do you know how she was raised by her parents? She may have not been taught or learned ways of coping with things.
I'm not trying to make excuses for her actions, she should be punished. But at the same time, I'm not going to feel like I'm so good that I never make mistakes either or know how I would have turned out if I would have been raised like her or been through her life up until now.
She deserves what she got, but now let's see how supportive people are for her once she pays her price. I hope the best for her, just like I would anyone else who's messed up like that. She deserves that as a human being.
With envious Americans. My daddy didn't never bought me no Ferrari. Why should she get treated any different?
By an accident of birth, white people have smaller willies too. Why blame people for their parents? I'd make a video with her.
Who is Warren Buffet? lol. You have to be rich and do porn. It's O.K. to be rich as long as no one knows about you? Is that it?
How does Paris Hilton Lord over people? Does she do anything Madonna doesn't? Or Tom Cruise or George Clooney? What's the difference between her and Pamela Anderson? It's the money mate and it's not just Americans who react to it that way. It's the same story all over the world. At the other end of the scale people spit on tramps too. No one hates on tramps that they never see. If you are poor and out of sight no one has a problem with you. Hang out on the street and parade your poverty and that's another thing entirely.
I have a small willy by accident of birth? What?
My girl would disagree with a part of that.
It's not really an accident either
Small willies by accident. You're funny.
And smaller then what. It's like you just stopped the sentence. It's rather disapointing cause it's a really good sentence. It's like not putting in the last few chapters of a good book.
Why did the judge increase her sentence though? It wasn't her fault that she got put into house arrest. If he wanted to punish anyone for that he should have gone after the sheriff who let her go. Who said anything about enabling?
You people are so quick to jump on someone when they're down. I wonder how you would have turned out given a life like hers.
I said I think she needs to learn she's not above the law, she deserves to be punished. But it's a lot easier to recover when you don't see the world as a vindictive place.
What are you trying to prove to others or yourself by being mean to someone and taking a jab at them when they're down?
With envious Americans. My daddy didn't never bought me no Ferrari. Why should she get treated any different?
By an accident of birth, white people have smaller willies too. Why blame people for their parents? I'd make a video with her.

The difference between Paris Hilton and the others you've named is the better than thou attitude. Everything revolves around Paris Hilton, everything is to please her. Just to give you an example, here in Detroit she threw a Superbowl party, but was too good to show up at her own party. She is too good to abide by the law, she is better than everyone else. She loses her dog, and the whole world must show concern. Jail time, show concern and email Governor Arnie for her, like she'd do the same for you if you were in a pinch. At least Mel Gibson goes down to the local pub, drinks with the regulars, and deals with his own police problem without invoking celebrity immunity. Mel Gibson's a regular guy, just like the rest of us, with his own opinions, agree or disagree with them, he's human.
Tom Cruise, he has his beliefs, he is a control freak, but he doesn't shove his celebrity status into peoples face. Him and Katie roll into Toledo, Ohio looking for a house, no big media event, they want to look at houses and be left alone. George Clooney, same way. Pamela Anderson never ran around Detroit with Kid Rock saying, "Look at me, worship me, I'm famous". Frankly, you never knew she was here. Same with Eminem. Take a vacation out to Aspen, Colorado some summer, you will see all the rich and famous, and yes, if you don't act like an asshole, they will talk to you. My daughter works out there, Daryl Oates, from Hall and Oates knows her, has walked up to her on the street and talked with her. Ed Bradley, when he was alive, also knew and talked to her. Michael Eisner liked her and hired her. She's not famous, she's just people, and the stars want to be treated the same way, just like people.
I have met Mike Wallace, talked with him. He's a regular guy. I've met Joe Lieberman, he talks with you, jokes with you, and his wife went out for coffee and brought me back a cup. Paris Hilton is different, she is an attention whore, but she wants you to know that she is better than you. She is arrogant, not curteous. She thinks of herself, first, foremost, and always. I have met George W Bush also, he is arrogant, you have to be the right kind of people for him to even acknowledge your existance. He treats his Secret Service detail like it is their great honor to take a bullet for him, never acknowledges his social inferiors. Madonna, she's your problem now, another over inflated ego.
Paris Hilton is not blamed for her parents, nor for her money. She is blamed for the arrogant attitude that she is better than the rest of us because of her birth. You Brits accept that better than we Americans. We don't like our nose rubbed in shit by those that think they bleed blue blood.
By the way, you might want to make a video with her, but you're trash to her, she'd never even acknowledge you exist. It's her attitude that America hates, her attitude, not her money, not her birth, but her attitude, of how she puts it all together. We see the money all the time, we see the birth to, but they don't Lord it over the everyday people. Paris Hilton does. So did Marie Antoinette.
By the way, we have alot of poverty on the streets of Detroit, we don't hate them, we see them asking for money all the time. They ask because there is a good chance they will receive. They stand at the freeway entrances with signs, they stand on the street corners begging, it's in our face every day. There's no magic out of sight, out of mind, or hatred for them. Their there, it's a fact of life in the city.
Why did the judge increase her sentence though? It wasn't her fault that she got put into house arrest. If he wanted to punish anyone for that he should have gone after the sheriff who let her go. Well, when you said she was 'born into that and doesn't know any different. The world must seem very different..." No argument there. But that sounds dangerously close to giving her an excuse--in other words, enabling that behaviour.
I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone, and am certainly not being mean. Nor have I taken a jab at anyone. I'm simply stating the reality. Is reality harsh? Yes it can be. That is something we all learn -- or most of us anyway.

@olddaddy (in lieu of quoting you) you're still doing the same thing everyone else is doing, slapping her in jail just because you don't like her. As to sticking her celebrity status at everyone who did that in the first place? The media, everytime we turn around she, or the flavor of the time, is slapped all over the news. Other people have come on, done their little "I'm sorry" tour, doesn't mean they actually mean it, hell if they couldn't lie about it they wouldn't be very good actors or politicians would they?
She may need to learn a lesson but as I said before I've seen people do far worse and get off with far less, hell I see it every day. What we really need is the media to stop flashing her, and others on the TV, newspapers, radio, and internet everytime they step outside or act like an idiot, I know enough idiots without having my media flooded with more. Just look at this forum alone, how many gloating posts and threads have been made? and why? It's not real news it's just a distraction, and a poor one at best.

Timeviewer do you realize she broke the law? We dont need to feel hate for her to think she should serve her jail time. She broke the law, several times. Hell she even got off the hook once. Then she goes to jail and has an "illness" that gives her a get out of jail free card.
THATS why people are pissed. Anybody who wasnt a celebrity (and im sure some celebrities too) would have had to serve their time, whether they had some small illness or not (at least serve in the hospital wing if thats the case)

Paris is the only celebrity to have repeatedly broke the law?
I don't think so mate.
Paris is an attention whore but Pamela isn't.
I don't think so mate.
Paris loses her dog and everyone has to hear about it, but when you lose yours you keep stomb.
I don't think so mate.

She didn't turn up to her own party. (All that effort made and they didn't even get to hear her sing!). You wouldn't catch Kylie or Whacko Jacko or the Stones not turning up to their own concerts. Not them. They have more respect for you.
She's not better than you, you are better than her.
When you talk about a person you don't even know like this, it doesn't say that much about them, but it speaks bundles about you.
I've no need to take holidays in Aspen to meet up with the rich and famous. I've been around.

Not correct, I neither like nor dislike her. What I do not like is her attitude, that she is above all the rest and not accountable to anyone. That the world revolves around her, and her alone. And she rubs the world's nose in it.
She's not accountable to you Oldy, and much more of the world revolves around her than ever will you or I.
And if you go to the same restaurent as her, you aren't going to get first choice of table either.
I don't think she rubs the worlds nose in it at all. That's the world she lives in, and when you look at her she doesn't even see you. She's not responsable for what your nose is being rubbed in. The culprit for that is somewhere closer to home.
P.S. You've never missed the opportunity to slag her off on this board yet, it's OK for you to say you don't like her if you want to.
She's not accountable to you Oldy, and much more of the world revolves around her than ever will you or I. And if you go to the same restaurent as her, you aren't going to get first choice of table either.
Paris and I don't frequent the same restaurants.
She should be damned glad she's not accountable to me, cause I never hit no bitch that didn't have it comin'.
If she wouldn't draw the attention, nobody would have notice that the sherift let's her go, and the judge wouldn't have done extra working on her case.
However, she is an extremely successfull attention whore level 250, she is cute, she is rich, she is blonde in every sense of the term probably...she has to be an example of what law has to be.
Her returning to home was okay IF she learn the lesson (which I think she has). She will never be wise...but she did learn the lesson. However, with the public attention, now it was a lesson for the whole country that has to be teached, and so she was sent back to jail.
I doubt the sherift receive a bribe (or sex) for that. He prolly looks over Paris like a dad would look on a brat. And even if her wisdom score would always be 4 (absymall), she did learn the lesson.
Going to jail was the lesson, the lenght is torture for such a girl. This is a broken little brat and yes, she would resume been an attention whore asap, she won't change. But...I am pretty confident she will never break the law as she did. Or am I an optimist?

Got it?
That's not why people are pissed off at all. The same people who are pissed off now where already pissed off, long before she broke the law. It's just fuel for the fire.
For the record, I don't think Paris got herself out of jail. I don't think she got out because she is a celebrity. I think she got out because her dad wanted her out.
Paris is the only celebrity to have repeatedly broke the law? I don't think so mate. Paris broke the law and turned the justice system into a mockery, whether she is a celebrity, or not, she demonstrated an arrogent contempt by placing herself above the law. That's the attitude Americans hate. Paris is an attention whore but Pamela isn't. I don't think so mate. Actually, Pamela is a very nice person. She has a public persona, and a private persona. Paris lacks the nice person private persona. Paris loses her dog and everyone has to hear about it, but when you lose yours you keep stomb. I don't have a dog, but if I lost it I would ntify the local police, the neighbors, and place flyers around town. Get some friends to drive around with me and look also. Paris issued a press release to all the major media outlets, UPI, etc. I don't think so mate. Mel Gibson goes down the pub and drinks with the regulars but Paris doesn't. I don't thinks so mate. (She has a T.V. show where that's all she does). Seperate her public persona from her private persona, off camera she does not drink with regular people, Mel Gibson actually does. Tom Cruise and George Clooney want to be treated just like everyone else. I don't think so mate. Yup, they do. Tom Cruise is very low profile, he does not want everyone to know that Tom Cruise just arrived. Same with George Clooney. She didn't turn up to her own party. (All that effort made and they didn't even get to hear her sing!). You wouldn't catch Kylie or Whacko Jacko or the Stones not turning up to their own concerts. Not them. They have more respect for you. Thsi one I love. I wouldn't go to her party because I have no respect for her. Not only did she not show up for her own party, but she was classless enough to dis her guest from LA. Don't know who Kylie or Whacko Jacko (Michael jackson?) is. As far as I have always heard, the Stones turn up for their US concert performances and put on an excellant show. They are professional entertainers, and damned good at what they do. I am not sure why you are dissing them? She's not better than you, you are better than her. Wrong. She shits the same as I do, and when she dies her body will decay just like mine will. Neither is better than the other. We are different, we have different skill sets, however, she thinks hers are superior. Once again, it's her attitude American's hate, her blue blooded better than thou attitude. We live, breathe, and feel the same. Yet her feelings are more important to her then the feelings of others. It's like your comment about the homeless, I don't ignore them, hate them, or find shame in them. I realize that based on the breaks I could very well have been one of them. Paris Hilton has never had that realization. She lacks empathy for the working class, let alone the homeless. When you talk about a person you don't even know like this, it doesn't say that much about them, but it speaks bundles about you. Ah, that's the spirit Baff, you never judge other do you? Right up there on the pedistal aren't you? Frankly, what it means is that I am allowed to observe her behaviour and make a judgement as to the type of person she is. And that judgement is shared by alot of people from what I hear and see around me. She is the butt of jokes on American late night TV because it hits a cord with American's feelings about her.
I've no need to take holidays in Aspen to meet up with the rich and famous. I've been around. Sweet. Try it for the X Games then, or the skiing. It's a great little town. Prince Bandur has a place there, largest mansion around, it's something to see. Surprisingly, even though he's a Muslim, he doesn't wear suicide vests like some others on these forums believe. Celebrities don't go there to meet up with people, they go there to be treated like people. They can walk the streets without being accosted by adoring fans and paparazzi. That's the magic. They want to be treated like people, not like the rich and famous.
I dont care about paris hilton and as much as I hate commenting on this thread I had to get my message out:: WHY IS ISHE THE BIGGEST NEWS TOPIC ON ALL THE DAMN CHANNELS!!

Like we know man. We don't even know why shes such a big celeb. All we know is that she's spoiled and avoids the law easily like other celebs, yet she will be a prime exmaple by going to JAIL.

Umm you're contradicting both your entire previous post and this one in your first two sentences, you say you neither like nor dislike her then go on to say what you dislike about her, and not one word of either is a good reason to send someone to jail.
Oh, and this...

Umm maybe you should go back over my postings and read them so that YOU get it, I realize you probably just read only my last posting instead of following what's been said, and, no offense really intended, kind of stuck your foot in your mouth, but you can't really rely on the last comment in a conversation as a "sums it all up"

No one hates on tramps that they never see. If you are poor and out of sight no one has a problem with you. Hang out on the street and parade your poverty and that's another thing entirely.
I just wanna know why anyone is arguing with this guy over something as stupid as Parris Hilton?
Anyone else noticed I keep harping on this?
I didn't get it baff, care to explain the joke a little better?
You know the whole while this has been going on all I've thought was, Who the hell cares,
All the people are sick and tired of seeing the rich and famous getting away with anything because of who they are. All the people who truly want to see Lady Justice blind folded and not biased based on fame. That's who cares.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Yes, and if society keeps enabling her behaviour, she will never change. That goes for anyone really. Crying and throwing a tantrum is her defensive mechanism to get what she wants when all else fails.

Guys are taking this to serious.
She's a bratty girl that broke the law. The law said do 40 days in jail.
The important thing is finding a cure for all us white guys that were accidentally born with small willies.
Wish Darkfall would release.
THATS why people are pissed. Anybody who wasnt a celebrity (and im sure some celebrities too) would have had to serve their time, whether they had some small illness or not (at least serve in the hospital wing if thats the case)
Got it?
Paris is the only celebrity to have repeatedly broke the law?
I don't think so mate.
Paris is an attention whore but Pamela isn't.
I don't think so mate.
Paris loses her dog and everyone has to hear about it, but when you lose yours you keep stomb.
I don't think so mate.
Mel Gibson goes down the pub and drinks with the regulars but Paris doesn't.
I don't thinks so mate. (She has a T.V. show where that's all she does).
Tom Cruise and George Clooney want to be treated just like everyone else.
I don't think so mate.
Paris and I don't frequent the same restaurants.
She should be damned glad she's not accountable to me, cause I never hit no bitch that didn't have it comin'.
Paris is a victim of her own reputation.
She draw attention to herself.

That's not why people are pissed off at all. The same people who are pissed off now where already pissed off, long before she broke the law. It's just fuel for the fire.
For the record, I don't think Paris got herself out of jail. I don't think she got out because she is a celebrity. I think she got out because her dad wanted her out.

Umm you're contradicting both your entire previous post and this one in your first two sentences, you say you neither like nor dislike her then go on to say what you dislike about her, and not one word of either is a good reason to send someone to jail.
Oh, and this...
Paris and I don't frequent the same restaurants.
She should be damned glad she's not accountable to me, cause I never hit no bitch that didn't have it comin'.
Sounds like you have some latent bondage/S&M issues with her
