My guess is nothing. Went to a rated "R" movie a few weeks ago, parents had very young (probably around 6 - 8yrs) children with them.
Worked at a video store in my young days that enforced the rental policy, parents would go in with kids to rent them whatever they wanted and hand the tape over to them in the parking lot.
Half of the video game stores out there dont even pay attention when they are selling a game.
Most parents are not even aware of how much time children spend playing games, I doubt they will look carefully at the screen when playing this game and stop the account. Hitting alt-tab isnt that hard either.
I doubt its going to do anything... if anything the younger players are going to want to play just because of the semi-taboo rating...just like they use to sneak into rated R movies.

What the hell is wrong with Pro-WARness? This site is just as full of PRO-AOCness as well, so what do you have to say about them? Just because fans of one game are looking forward to another game is no reason to be a hater and whine about hype meters.

So I guess the Voters decided that WAR is more interesting than AoC, generally.
I myself hyped WAR higher than AoC, simply because WAR will be a guaranteed hit, while AoC will be either a great success, or a horrible failure. (M rating, new Combat/Spell System...all things not tested before, noone knows how it'll play out in the end).
So while I can safely wait on the hit WAR, I'll have to watch the first weeks of AoC closely, before I can decide if it really delivers what it promised.

I think the game's actual rating after release is a bit more reflective on how people feel about a game. The hype is somewhat useless.

i agree this game should be the best mmo when it comes out. it has new and original stuff in it. the graphics are detailed and different. it is not cartoony like wow and warhammer.
the combat is new with less calculations and more skill. build your own town and defend it. take over outposts and get blood money. it has drunken boxing how cool is that a purpose to get drunk now. plus its rated m which means blood and stuff. before you guys start defending warhammer look at it. it looks almost identical to wow. maybe it isnt but it looks, feels, and plays like it. if they been workin on it for so long why didnt they change it to be different? plus the previous rts games of it were bloody and brutal with good noncartoony graphics what the hell happen? the voting on this site makes no sense. im guessing some people just like to get alot of people to vote for a random game for no reason and screw up the other ones. if you have that much free time on your hands i feel sorry for you.

I liked Warhammer the table top game ok but never got into it was a battletech player, that being said i will play WAr and most people on the WAr forums seem to be mmoers not tabletoppers.

What i dont love about it is.......how far it is till it goes live.
I have to say I was pretty impressed how much Age Of Conan has started the advertising blitz pre-game. They had a huge booth at Dragon-con in a primespot with handouts, replicas of Conan's sword / throne, etc. Played some demos there, got a lot of questions answered, and the crew was very friendly. The only reason I can think of Warhammer may have a stronger hype is that it was born in the gaming communities and people have played it in different versions/mediums for years. Conan may be more visible due to the movies and books, but in a gamer's forum, established games would seem to have the edge.
