Btw, most MMOs are like WoW(lawl). They all have an avatar, interface, mini maps and a log off menu. Enough with these OMG they copied WoW!!!11 posts.

Also, of course it's not hard to beat WoW's PvP. WoW isn't a PvP-focused game. If WoW was PvP focused, it would be WAR!

No, but you listed it along with DAOC and EQ2, which could easily lead to the confusion that you were listing games that WoW was ripping off of. It would've been clearer to say "The Warhammer universe, DAOC, and EQ2."
I personally think you guys are fucking retarded for saying Wo copied all these other MMOs, but what you guys dont get is that WoW is better than all the other MMOs, not just my opinion i bet theres millions of people who agree with me. WoW has over 8mil subscribers and what other MMOs do? none ok than... But my point is that if WoW did copy any other MMOs obviously they did alot better of a job on making the game than the MMOs WoW copied from.

Dumbass he didnt say WAR or Warhammer online he just said Warhammer meaning the original TT.
As I said, he listed it with two other games, and the entire conversation was about games ripping off other games. Like I said, he lists Warhammer with two other MMOs, and says "and every other MMO". If I said "Everquest, Lineage, Dungeons and Dragons, and all MMOs like them are crappy" You'd assume I was talking about DnD the MMO, not DnD the tabletop game.
What WoW did to attract all the people that it did was made it so that it appeals to everyone, not just the hardcore gamer. You can actually solo with all the classes from 1 - 70, unlike the other games. However, because of that when grouping with random groups to go into a dungeon everyone plays the hero and it's hard to find a group to play together. With EQ1 and the little bit of EQ2 I played it was group based game and took a lot longer time spent playing to benefit from it. I believe every game has it's ups and downs though and im looking forward to playing WAR.

anyone who actually things warhammer is a ripoff of world of warcraft needs to get a few things straight:
Games workshop came up with warhammer in 1982ish
Blizzard 'came up' with the idea or warcraft in like 1992? 1994 or something like that.
blizzard almost entirly copied warhammer 40k. look at the zerg compared to tyranids. oh and how marines in starcraft look almost just like space marines. not to mention unit abilities and lore.
seriously. look at blizzard art, and then look at warhammer art. keep in mind that the warhammer IP is about 10 years OLDER than warcraft.

yes, even the Starcraft Manual mentions "Special Thanks to Games Workshop" somewhere. Yes, first Blizzard started to create a Warhammer game, but GW cancelled the licence agreement, so they had to rename it to warcraft, and change the models a bit.
BUT since then Warcraft/Starcraft created its' own lore, Warhammer Space Marines are genetically engineered super-warriors with extremely expensive and high-tech equipment, they are rare, they are powerful.
Starcraft Space Marines are mostly Criminals who got their Brains deleted, and filled with "I hate Protoss and Zerg, they killed my family"-Kind of stuff, to make them willing soldiers. They are more rank-and-file troopers.
But anyway, the main Point is:
WAR does NOT look like WoW, it does NOT look like cartoonish. Nor does it look realistic or anything.
WAR looks like Warhammer. Period. Look at the Miniatures, look at the Artwork. It's Warhammer 100%, and that's the ONLY thing that matters for a warhammer game.
TY Ynyror im in the same posiition still have not betaed potbs tho (its odd that this is the game i can't get into its beta go figure) but in any case it looks pretty good so far .. oh and i will play WAr too.. oh and no DF beta (rofl)

Here is my question, if someone is not familiar with Warhammer, would they ever realize that it looks like Warhammer and not WoW? People stick to what they know. If their point of reference is WoW, then that is what they are going to think it resembles. But I guess none of that matters. I think the Fanbois and Haterbois are going to continue to flame each other. I guess that makes me happy. If they weren't complaining to each other, I wouldn't have a forum to troll.
