Probably the most weird topic i've been reading for a long time. Don't wanna be rude to anyone, but one question... if you don't want to participate in any kind of PvP why is it important to get the VERY best gear? dosen't seem reasonable to me.. Bit of a paradox if ask me..
Try to understand that for a Greenskin, a day that starts by killing someone with your bare hands and ends with those same hands being chopped off in battle is a good day!

I just want to be the best at what I do. Which is a legitmate request. I only do PvE-grouping (rhetoric here, I would try PvP and soloing and more), I want to work toward been the best for that. If from the get go it is impossible, I won't even try, not worth my time.

Being the "best" at something has nothing to do with any reward.

No, but it has everything to do with each and every stat you gain. In WAR, the reward = more stats, so been the best = having the best rewards. (pre-requirement to be the best)

No i meant the whole RvR, PvP'ers and PvE'ers will need to work together and be organised if their team is to have a chance. It won't be like other games where the guy with tier 6 gear can kill 7 of the opponents troops. It will require group tactics and strategy so what i mean is that working as a team holds a greater advantage than having the best gear.
RvR (in its established form) is all about group engagements. It's why they say RvR instead of PvP - PvP is about my character against yours, RvR is about my team, my squad, my regiment or my entire realm against yours. It's a team concept. While they've stated that they want each career to be able to hold its own and contribute, the game isn't being designed around 1v 1 combat - its being designed around my team vs. your team. They've stated that each army is being balanced against the others - four characters, one of each career available to an army, should be able to take on a similar team from any other army.
As far as PvP'ers and PvE'ers working together and organizing - the capital sieges that seem to be the primary worry here will include NPC bosses. To get the good gear we'll have to kill specific NPCs, several of which we find only at the end of elaborate public quests. The enemy rulers, for instance, become available only after we've hunted down 4 enemy boss mobs (lieutenants of the rulers) that are being guarded by both NPCs and enemy players. In order to get through a capital siege and get the good loot, we have to be willing to pursue both PvP and PvE objectives. WAR isn't about forcing people to PvP, it's about removing the distinction, integrating the two into a single model of realm vs realm conflict. Anyone who refuses to drop his hatred of either activity will have less fun and face limitations that won't be there for people who tackle all the aspects of the game equally.
It's mainly the people that want to play in the Warhammer world but are scared to fight against other players. Like people that collect the minatures and never play a battle encase they lose. So they want PvE servers where they can whack AI's all day for l33t Geerz and phat lootz.
I don't see what is so frightening about PvP. You lose - you lose, you won't die IRL. And it's always more entertaining (at least to me) to play against a unpredictable human than even the best AI.
And as to say if I should like it or not, I remember some PvP fans telling EQ staff to let's them be judge of that, and just give them the freaking server so they can PvP. So what is the problem to just give a server so we can PvE to our heart content?
The problem is that I would rather have Mythic work on improving the PvP aspects of the game instead of wasting their time creating a PvE server.
The other thing is that PvP fans most of the time have to ask for a PvP server because 90%+ of MMO's are based on PvE with PvP added on a sidenote. For people like you, there are plenty of games available.
You have also mentioned, there is a HUGE market for PvE loving people. That is correct, however these days this market is widely served by numerous games already released and coming out. On the other hand there's also a HUGE market for the PvP crowd that has been largely untapped the last few years, and I have the feeling that WAR might change that. ;-)
The game's theme is RvR, so taking away the other faction would be like taking away the mob NPCs from other games (WoW for example.)
But you misunderstand WAR. RvR is not about PvP, it's about competition. If the Dwarfs are building a bridge, you're knocking it down. Sometimes you fight PCs, sometimes you fight NPCs but you're always in competition with the other side.
You do not need to PvP at all in this game. PvE doesn't need to be seperated out from PvP because they're already seperate. But they work in a symbiotic fashion. It's pretty cool, you can be PvEing, be completely out of PvP, look across the river and see people PvPing. Your PvE contributes to RvR and everything.
AND, CAPITIAL RAIDS ARE NOT ALL PVP. They've already said there's PvE to it. So there you go. Just like promised, YOU CAN PVE THE WHOLE GAME AND NEVER HAVE TO PVP.
So there's no need for segragation. Martin Luther King showed us that.

If that is what your or something else wan'ts to play WAR for, this isn't the game for you.
