its been said a couple of times that there a re 90% guys on mmorpg so i thought id put this poll here to find out

    I'm male - But my girlfriend, who lives with me, play's every MMO that I play. We also LAN Sacred/NWN/Diablo 2 and such... So girls do game. In fact - I'd say 1 out of every 10 people my girlfriend talks with is a girl in Ultima Online...

    I'm not talking about "girl" characters. I'm talking about females behind the PC..

    And I'm male and play female characters sometimes. I don't "roleplay" a girl, but I play a character that fits in my mind what I want it to be. For instance, most of my rangers/hunters are female. Because in my mind female characters fit that role better. Rogues are always males for me, as are mages.... ect.

    It's because you can get better stuff cheaper, or even for free from people. It's true, i tried it in DAoC, never had to by one set of armor. "Ya know, I just don't seem to have the money!" "That's OK miss, it's free". Hehehehe, suckers.

    Oh yea, and for the record I am currently a male.

    My vote made #25. As it stands right now, girls 16% and the guys 84%. It's not to far off the 90% average.

    Male here, and i think its more like 75/25 male to female in games, with more woman entering the games. my wife plays some of the games, and i notice my sons and his friends girlfriends play to spend time with them.

    Bah!! Wish my wife would show some interest in MMO's. She only plays poker n' gambling games online. Keeps hinting about a trip to Vegas.... *grumble.*

    I have two daughters that play online games. One plays L2, the other EQ. Yes, they're teenagers, No, you can't date them. image
