PS: I don´t hate America and the American ppl, I just hate the government for its totally ignorant foreign politics. I´ve played with alot of Americans in WoW for example and it´s all good.

Biggest grip I have with american gamers and I guess americans in general is that once I speak, or mention I'm Irish they presume they have a long lost connection to me. Like there grand father X50 was Irish so of course, you know they are Irish aswell. That does drive me insane. Then of course the English think we are all stupid and still travel by horse and carriage

i dont know why there world is like this , come on it is a tiny planet we should all get along with each other, we dont have animals like horses fighting a war with each other becouse one wants to be better then the rest it is just stupid, thay should all go into a big room and talk there problems away and shake hands and never fight again or we will be the endangered spieces on the planet.

I'm from England and i hate the UK and Europe because i want our country to be known as England but everyone calls it UK or Europe lol. What i don't understand is the Welsh,Scotish and Irish can have their flags up and say we're from (one of the 3) but in England we get called anti British if we have our flag up lol. Also if we have our English flag up we get called racist against all the offended muslims that get to have their flags up :S lol.......
Anyways what i'm saying is i'm too busy hating on the rest of the UK and Europe to care about Americans lol.
heh I've been called "eurof*g" on a couple of occasions once people "find out" that I'm from europe.
I've never had anything against americans in general, but cmon, you can't blame us for having something against individuals who go by the logic that since america consists of one of the biggest military powers in the world, they are better than us. I don't think I get this mentality from people outside the US at all.
And with forum threads like these it's not really surprising that some people start to generalize.
Something that you have to understand about patriotism though, is that "I love my country" sounds hugely different from "My country is the best" to someone who isn't from the US. The former expresses pride, the latter can be interpreted as elitist. I've seen a lot of flamefests originate from someone simply stating that they love their country, but just happened to use the term "best", which a lot of people find offensive considering it can (and will be) interpreted as "better than you".

They should have put an Iraqi flag up. It would have been a huge boost to the people of Iraq. When i saw that I wanted to shout Noooooo what the hell are you doing.

I hate the american Government becuase of its Foreign Policy.
I loathe many americans becuase of their arrogance.
Ive played on US servers, in beta and in Retail, ive also played in EU servers and I havent noticed much of a difference. Both sides have their share of immature/kids/morons/ignorant players and both sides have their share of really great players. But what I have noticed on the US servers, is players complete disregard for other nations and naturally arrogant responses.
And as for G W Bush, I feel sorry for the individuals in the US who didnt vote for him. It must be so embarressing to have such a fruitcake running your country.

That's sad when the leetz kids use the topics to attack you, I'm Euro and have played all along with Americans in SWG and other games and have made a lot of good american friends, not WoW(in WoW everyone hates eachother for whatever reason, or at least it was like that the short time i played it), so you get insulted by being american, or being Eastern European, or from a poor country or... countless reasons to bully everyone in every way.
There is no a Euro vs. Americans in rl, but for the stupid ones and the extreme leftist... and of course, the French!

So to my fellow American above me! So when you saw the footage Marines and Sailors raise the Stars and Stripes over Mount Suribachi on Iwojima during that little skirmish called World War II did that also make scream no!?
The reasons our flag is planted like that is to raise our troops morale also demooralize the enmies too, to also show that we are making progress in the war, and this has been done since the dawn of war all over the world!
Matter of fact: A vast majority in europe is feeling a strong dislike for American politics these days.
And yes, I've been to the states several times, met distant relatives and what I encountered there was not very encouraging in my positive view towards America. Example? - I know that the US has a presidential democracy, I know that you have two major parties, that the president has a veto right and a function as executive force, I know what the difference between federal and state law is, I know roughly the states, I know the difference between a senator and a governor...
I know how this works in france, too, I know how the house of commons and the constitutional monarchy in Britain work... But - and I'm not talking about one special experience - not one US-american, and many of them were going to college, could tell me - even remotely - how the political system in the EU or in my country, Germany, works.
Another example. When I roamed US-American towns in the west there were up to 15, 30 fast-food chain restaurants; We asked our relative if we could go to a restaurant, like a restaurant, and he was like "that's expensive and we'll have to drive" and I was like "then let's cook together" and all he said was "cook?"...
So of course, this does not apply to all US-americans, of course, this is only what I experienced. But combined with the foreign political failures of the US during the last years, people start to overemphasise the differences emotionally. The expression "american surroundings" is a stand-alone phrase for the - unmistakably true - horror stories from the american social system. I've seen this Will Smith movie "struggle for happiness" last year and I was like "dude, this is so unrealistic, he would get money if he..." until I realized that it was an american movie and the american society would let him starve on the street just like that ...
So what I want to say, I know very many americans I like and I do not have more antipathy against the american culture than, let's say, the French, though the differences between cultures will always lead to seperation and peer-grouping. It's kind of natural and if we don'T let it escalate it's allright...

Those who aren't American hate America because they've been fed with the propaganda that Americans are fat, ignorant slobs who think they're better then everyone else. Now don't get me wrong, we do have some of that here, but there would be at least a few people like this in every country.
Another reason I think people hate America is the way they treat foreigners. I'm Canadian living in America, and I hear people say "eh" to me about 3 times a day.
I bet if there was a French person they saw, they'd offer then a crepe and laugh. If they saw a German person, they might call them Nazi bastards (but only the stupidest, uneducated ones would do this). I can say from personal experience that Americans do generally think they're better then all others, but certainly not to the degree propoganda says they are.
It all started when that war-craving, system decieving man tricked his way into office.

Really folks, you might not beleave it, but we are winning. Every nut job we kill there, is one less that will blow up a market in england.
sadly the way terrorisam networks are setup i dont think we would ever be able to stop it.. we can counter it every step of the way.. but it will always be there.. you will always get fanatics who think their way is right and nothing else.. sadly thats the way of things and has been for a very long time..
The scary thing is, in the Netherlands, we have a growing amount of Moslim people. about 40% of this group adopts and embraces the "Dutch way of living", the other 60% however is severely discriminate against anything that doesn't fit in their culture. They refuse to see male doctors, because their husbands, sons, brothers don't allow them to. They don't shake the hands of female politicians, because it is impure.
They strongly fight for this belief.
While we, are incapable of directly returning the favor. Racism laws only exist for those that aren't white. Which is expected looking at the worlds past concerning black vs white.
I'm drawing a strong line here, but we are talking about alot of different racial groups with a common factor, their beliefs.
If we defy America, odds are we will be a muslim state in the next coming 10 years. And don't say that it's bull, because we all see it happen. the Muslim religion is the strongest growing and spreading religion in the world, currently.
I'd hate to say it, but I dó think we need America. However racist this might make me seem to others, I believe that muslims have alot of extremist people, regardless of the good people, they offer alot more bad prospects to our future, like losing freedom of speech, thought and religion. I myself am an Atheist and I laugh equally hard when I see people justify their actions abusing God as I laugh when they do so with Allah, but the fact is, America is less than a threat to the rest of the world than all the Muslim nations together.
I realize some things here are extremely generalizing, but perhaps it's the only way to look at it.
edit : I disagree with the nutcase that thinks America is winning though.
Don't get me wrong though, I've got Turkish friends , they're probably Muslim :P
Hating an individual for their nationality/race/religion/etc. is ignorance at it's finest. What can you do besides ignore the stupid people.
