Rumors flying about Blizzard employee's hinting toward a PVP revamping exspantion set for Q1 2008 release (likely to try and coax people away from WAR/AOC) Most recently a blue post on the WoW forums stating " We're actually going to change how PvP is done "

Question..Will you go back to WoW if they practically "steal" the formally know Mythics RvR system?

WAR is the only option for me.

I vote ahead to WAR not because I hate WoW, it's actually a great game, but more because come Q1 2008, there is no way I will have time to be raiding every night just to be viable in the PvP aspect of the game. You know WoW can't get rid of raiding, or make better rewards than the ones you get from sinking hours and hours into raids. If they did that, they would alienate a whole different group of subscribers. WoW should really choose to focus on one element in particular and do it very well.

What for the fourth time?

Lets see... first they said they would revolutionize PvP... They ended up adding battle grounds... not really the BIG deal they were hyping.

Then they said world PvP would be revolutionized and dropped a few towers in contested zones like EPL.

THEN they said the PvP ratings system was broken so they revamped that... adding arena combat as well.

They say this about evey 6 months to get the PvP crowd foaming at the mouth... all the while they do something mediocre and take a step back.

Also the last expansion went really well for them... it brought item imbalance to a whole new level and made griefing mainstream. GO BLIZZARD!

I keep up with WoW since it is the top mmo atm. I would never ever go back until I see some intelligent decisions. Sorry that game has such huge imbalances it isn't even funny. Then the devs change some that makes the imbalance worse. Melee gear runs on a different set of rules, why? They could have made it the same instead a weapon to a melee is god but to casters it is another piece of gear with +dmg. I am 100% sure that WoWs concepts were only 1/2 finished on release. Just look at the changes they had to make, mage gear with agility? +dmg? crit rating? +hit? Constanty changing game mechanics is never good.

Also my account is banned from WoW so leveling up again would drive me to suicide.

WoW's next expansion......

1.) Having to grind 10 more levels again !

2.) Having to vendor all your raid gear and re-equip all over again !

3.) Having to grind faction all over again and having previous factions become worthless !

4.) Having to raid like a robot at end game levels again !

5.) PvP remaining worthless and repetitive grind again !

6.) Crafting will still suck and be useless for anything else besides raids.

and to top it all off they'll be raping the game lore again am sure. Get ready to farm Arthas 24/7 like clock work folks. Talk about lame !

Sorry count me out.

I quit WoW because I played it too much and it was affecting my social life and school marks, but I had a damn good time playing that game. Best MMO hands down, will never be one like it.

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that there are rumours of a PvP revamp in the works for WoW, especially considering the impending releases of a couple of games based on popular IPs that have PvP centric elements to them. And with many of WoW's players citing the game's PvP system as 'broken', Blizzard are more than likely having to take a serious look at that aspect of the game and nut out ideas to improve it to keep those happy with the other gameplay features playing the game.

Without a doubt, WoW will lose players with the release of games like AoC and WAR, but not so many as to make an overly significant dent in their playerbase. There are other games out there *cough~Vanguard~cough* that will take bigger population hits than WoW.

Geez is there even a substantial population there worth taking? VG is about as dead as it gets outside of Archlord.

There is no doubt that I'm going to play WAR. If it's not as good as I thought it would be, hopefully AION will be. If not I might go back to WoW (many RL friends playing) or just quit MMORPGs.

Yes we know that the PvP quote was not real. Hell I got that part loud and clear but the idea of another WoW expansion period is what most are commenting on even if it's far off into the future.

You know they can put in better rewards for both raid and pvp rewards. And i believe they will, if not who will wana play the new content? They will do it just like what they have done to the lvl 60 raid and pvp rewards when TBC is out, obsolete the current ones. And will say that its part of a progression....

But i will not be surprise if 1 year down the road War adopt the same strategy with their x-pac. New content and new loot to keep players playing....

Where its so enthralling that you dont need a twerk or new map every 7-9 months to keep you interested?

Imagine playing a game for fun and not for advancement or "fear" of being left behind in an ever escalating arms race of items and powerups.

I think that some people are tired of grinding and that is what classic mmorpg is about. It funny, because it different with eksempel FPS where you can play on the same map cycle for year without getting tired. Heck, I can remember that I spent serveral hours playing some certain Battlefield 1942 map for a couple of year, mainly because they where good and of cause fun. If Warhammer Online just need to the same thing. Make some balance map, make it appeal the Warhammer Lore so it fit correct. Then we got a winner.
