i give props to nintendo for trying to innovate

but every time i have played a game on the WII the controls have been so sketchy that it has kind of killed it for me (it doesnt always pick up your motion fast enough or at all)

and it really seems like a system which is more of a novelty than a long-term entertainment system

to put it in perspective, i love it that i have a friend with a wii, i just really dont want to buy one

the only problem is that no one i know ever wants to play theirs anymore

What game did you play then?

I am wondering the same thing?  While I hardly ever play mine (I am not a console gamer) when I have I had no problem playing Madden, Monkey ball, Wii Sports, or Zelda.  Which are pretty much the only games I have played for it.  My girls really love Wii Sports and play it for fun every once in awhile.

    Currently playing:
LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)

    Looking Foward too:
Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)

Graphics aside, were the devs on drugs when they made that?  Seriously, what's going on in that game?  Mario jumping from floating rock to floating rock the whole time?  Whatever happened to Bowser, Peach, and castles?

    "Kaneda! What...do you see?"

Because that would ruin the joke. Do you also mention that you're just kidding when you're making a joke? ofcourse not, because that would ruin it.

Oh they are there just not in the trailer. Besides i think the game looks pretty interesting and different to any previous mario.

Mario and Zelda are the only reasons I still like Nintendo's products. Because those are some of the best games out there.

i understand your confusion, as i did play wii sports with little or no problems (aside from boxing), but madden i found to be just horrible. aside from feeling like i was just using a much more complicated regular controller, it would only pick up around 3/4 of my motions

(and to add to the boxing thing, i dont know if that was just game design or poor pickups, probably game design, but it was just SOOO slow and if you punched faster than like a punch ever 1.5 secs it wouldnt do anything)

Not doubting you but how was your Sensor bay positioned and how far were you from the Sensor bar?

I think he might be talking about how no matter how you move there is only so many set moves on the game. For example, boxing on the sports game.

    Moves:

    Upercut

    Side-punch-thing

    Block

    Punch

That's pretty much it. Also they are at preset speeds so you aren't really controlling anything on the game. That's my biggest problem. Let me swing my damn sword wherever I want, or let me have the choice of using a normal controller.

well i wasent really thinking like that tbh, but i think that you may have hit the nail on the head

the reason i really seem to be "anti-wii" has really been the lack of lasting fun gameplay.  But if a game came out that really lent itself well to such a wide range of control, it would be epic .  Imagine a game like oblivion, except you actually had full range of control for your sword and shield.  That would be a milestone in gameing

I think yu are running out of straws to grasp Gameloading you should just accept it. The Wii won the first round of the sales war.

We don't care about sales, and neither should you. Why would that effect you if the company is making money or not? they dont share the money with you.
