And as far as content over 20, you know its CLOSED BETA and less then half the content for that tier isnt eve in the BETA yet right? So I don't see how you can judge something that hasn't been implemented into BETA yet.

Exactly, not all the game content is in there yet but to some astonishment the game seems empty and barren? O I imagine that some of you "long time MMO plays" know every thing there is about it but hey what the hell do I know. So Klauwn your telling me you got it all wrong for that many years? Apparently beta testing is new to you and you have no idea what your doing right? Cuz every beta tester knows that some of the game systems are not going to be in the closed beta along with a lot of the content. O wait a minute, no no i must be wrong.

NO not wrong.  Just basing Your Opinions on 2nd/3rd hand information.

Others HAVE been playing.  They are basing Their opinions On what They have Seen and Done.

So yes, in some ways, you have no clue.  Also how can you say a game is Great if only half the content has been published?

So, before you flame someone else, who has Actually done some testing/playing of a game, you could realize, that they have their opinions..and their's are based on 1st info.  Which you don't have.

decide this for yourself. go on the main website and read about it or read the reviews on this site.

Thasri your lack of comprehension baffles me.

I did NOT state anything about the game being barren or anything.

Due to the nature of the NDA I cannot elaborate so you are way beyond clueless when you reply with such an idiotic remark

to me being new to beta testing and being "wrong" all these past years.

Fun is pr definition a subjective matter. What is fun to you might not be fun to me. Gameplay is if reviewed properly divided into genres.

TR is a 3'rd person FPS "mmo".

As I said before it is decent at that. What they will be adding is more content based upon the concept they already got going.

I unlike you have played that therefore I can make qualified comments and not hear-say / fiction bs.

My problem is with the current design, the core gameplay. while it ain't bad it ain't great either and TR is expected by many to be exactly that. So chill with the fanboi fanatism, maybe you will love it when you get to play, maybe you won't but don't go around thinking this is the best thing since man discovered electricity

First, it's not a FPS MMO, and secondly I'm not a fan-boy, theres no preexisting lore or content to be a fan boy of. And in the future you may want to be more specific in your comments. And I know about the NDA I've beta tested many games in the past. I'm sorry you don't like the game it's a shame, many have expressed good things about it, more so than the negative banter of a few holyer than thou people. As for as game mechanics you have to agree that a lot of the systems in place have never been done before. Like the cloning of a character so you don't have to start over every time you want to play a different class. A dynamic battle field with ever changing situations every time you log in. Parable quest lines where your actions can effect your game play later in the game. I'm guessing your comprehension is more in question than mine at this point. And as for as my view point yes I haven't play the beta YET, but I know good game play when I see it, and TR has good game play and solid delivery of said game play.

Thasri I totally agree with you regarding the ideas TR has and intends on having.

My problem is not "in theory" but "in practice".

TR is a 3'rd person shooter in a mmo setting. It got the nature of an online shooter, action based gameplay for a grand community.  It got potential, it got ideas but does it "put its money where its mouth is" - hell no.

I love sci-fi and personally the worn out orc, human elf fantasy setting is making me vomit.

I liked TR the first couple of days because of its setting and it felt like a breath of fresh air. I saw missions where bane were dropped down and I with troopers by my side had to conquer them. It looked cool and starship trooper'ish. Sadly it then continued to be more or less the same and the rpg dimension was so poorly executed baby Jesus would cry Niagara Falls.

So what I was left with was a decent 3'rd person shooter, tedious and repetive quests.

It is a beta, it is early stage I'll give them that.

I hope TR will add content like crazy and really develop the character skill side. I really wish TR gets major success, but sadly it reeks of another Vanguard story...

Again I'm sorry if you didn't like the game, I'm sure it'll be better in the open beta. Player experience may very lol.

    I beg to differ :)

Maybe instead of talking down the game here you should be on the beta forums offering suggestions.

Lol - Seriously how can you say its a vanguard? T.R will run on any half decent computer purchased in the last 12 months.

    My specs - Core 2 Duo 6600, 2 Gig DDR2, 256 7900GT, Windows XP - SP2.

Vanguard wont run well on the best computers available today

So all I can say is I have been in the closed beta for 5 months. LOTRO Beta - 30 minutes.

What does it matter you were in LOTRO for 30 minutes?  Gameplay is different in most games.  And frankly, like other poster, I am not into killing orcs and such.

As to computer specs?  I would think any computer that has been bought in last two years would be fine.  AS long as you don't want to run high graphics and such.  Those will be reserved for DX10(nvidia 8k cards).  *shrugs*  Same thing is happening with AoC.

As has been stated in a recent column on Warcry, gameplay til level 20 is tedious.  After? Well it seems to get more interesting.  The problem is, getting to level 20 and not yawning.  Think that is what poster meant.

Why should a game take 20 levels to "get interesting"?
