haha.. i poste what i did because for one if you knew anything about it.. one they knew of the bugs they fixed what they could before release. two the same bugs and pop up again and again and again in the prosses of fixing others this is the way things work. and everyone here who whines and moans about this is broken thus this game sucks or they dont have my exact idea of how this game is should play makes this game suck or my favorite omg WTF SOAB A BUG by god not a bug. come on people i have played pretty much every mmo i can get my hands on and EVERY SINGLE one had big and little problems when they launched weather it be bugs that were in beta or new one makes no differance and from what i read yes people to expect games to be bugless on launch or they would figure it out by now a bug is a bug dont matter what it is or why it happend they come up even if its the same bug that they fixed patch berfore that BUG WILL pop up again when there fixing something else its an endless cycle
by the way yes i play vangaurd... No its far from perfect but i have yet come across a bug that i say HOLY shit i cant play this this bug just fryed my comp and killed my cat its a great game they have a great idea going with this and if people dismiss a game from what haters say i pitty you find out for yourself your idea of the game WILL be differant then anyone elses if just by a little
i have to say... it was a like dream.... being in this beautiful world called telon.... full of life and character, populated by many friendly folks.... but dangers abound ... yet not everything is so simple that people throw things at you and pull you to one direction without choices.... yes... THIS is VANGUARD. the best, the most beautiful, and the most fun MMORPG ever created in the history of online gaming. more and more i log in, more and more i get sucked in, it really feels like a long, never-ending dream....
I still stand by the original statement made in this thread, I expect that the op is in rehab now probably dating Liz Taylor!
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"
Wow the OP sounds like s/he just "did it" with VG... I think I may just try VG after all...
I need a cigarette.
I know I'm a few days late posting this... but... I just had to log in and quote this... I'm sooo tired right now, that when I read this, I just laughed my ass off!!!
Really the game maybe good for a small minority of people but the general majority have many issues the game, ranging from silly issues to the quite serious content / bugs issues.
TBH if you want to convince people of VG's valdity to exist in a competative market wait till the trial. Writing posts like the OP isnt going anywhere.
I just have to wonder how many of the people complaining here have actually gone back and taken another look at Vanguard lately. No offense, but I just can't help but to wonder if some of you have even logged in to see the changes that SoE has made to the game.

I still log in now and then... sometimes I actually have quite a bit of fun. I have station access going (again /sigh) and between this and SWG I feel pretty good when I log back into EQ2.
I wasn't tricked into buying the game... I got invited during phase 2.. and actually one of my first thoughts was "damn the foh leaks were pretty dead on". Yet I stuck around just because.. I hate level based games but I guess I got caught up in the hype. Before I got into beta I actually had high hopes for this game.
Don't really see the need to crap on it... Oh and I played Anarchy Online (talk about a rought launch) but I stuck through that too... and I was one of the morons that pre-ordered Horizons... so I guess on some level I was used to Vanguard like games.
The only thing that really really disturbs me.. is that Sigil had around 200 employees (something like that) and I think SOE kept on 40 or 50 (sorry I forget).
Yet out of all the people that lost their jobs... two of the biggest *um words I can't post here* got to keep their jobs. People that posted crap that would have resulted in immediate "here is the door" at any company I ever wroked for... Yet they kept their jobs...
That to me is most likely why... the game will never be where it could be. They kept some of the wrong people.. that will just taint everything they touch.
Oh and I'm not gonna rehash the whole thing.. but I kept some posts from the old beta boards just to remind me of people that should never be allowed to EVER work on an MMO.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, but yeah if you don't like level-based games, then Vanguard clearly is not the kind of game you would like.
I for one happen to love Vanguard right now. And, yes I was in beta and HATED the game so much that I swore I would never buy it. Low and behold, about a month ago I got curious to see if anything had changed in Vanguard since beta, so I looked around on EQ2 and got a friendly person to give me their Vanguard buddy key. After an agonizingly long download and patch, I logged in and quickly found that Vanguard had changed a lot, and in the ways that I prefered. That doesn't mean that Vanguard is the end-all-one-game-to-rule-them-all. By all means, no it is not. But, it IS the game that I like the most out of all of the MMORPGs that are in production right now. And, just so you get an idea of what kind of gamer I am, I have played tons of MMORPGs, but the ones I played the most was EQ1, EQ2, and WoW. I have played EQ1 off and on for the past 8 years now... EQ2 about a year... and WoW about a year. By far, I like EQ1's game engine the best out of the three.
So... yeah. I like Vanguard. I suppose that makes me a bad guy. So be it. I won't shed a tear while I am enjoying a game that others hate.
