I'm going for a Troubadour (bard class). It seems that they need alot of balance and many stats, so I'm gonna be a human. The humans added resistances will be nice too.
Most people look at Humans and don't see enough "cool factor", but if character creation is like SWG's it'll be possible to make humans with cool hair/facial hair. My character in SWG is shaved bald with a beard and he looks badass, I'll probably make my Ranger like him.
If I do pick up this game, I'll likely try a Dark Elf again (played EQ ages ago for about 6 months only, but loved the Dark Elves).
I've really enjoyed healer/support classes in games, so I'd likely try a Fury, because it sounds quite nifty, or perhaps a straight healer and go Inquisitor.
But, wanting to see both sides of the world, I'd try a Kerra Troubadour or a Halfling something.
But I hate what they've done with the Erudites...turned them from respectable looking humans into something more alien-ish.
We'll see how it goes...

Originally posted by irr_robot im going to be a paladin, the problem is.. i cant think of what race. i definetly do NOT want to be a human, that is the most boring race of all.
I thought about being paladin too. Barbarian seems like it would be a great choice, they make good fighters and have high wisdom, plus they seem to fit the role pretty well.
I haven't ever played EQ, well except for a few days on the trilogy, just waiting for EQ2 really... and I'm wondering if its gona be possible and if so, realistic to make a Wood Elf / Dirge or Troubador , but who happens to be a master with a Bow as well as music....
I used to play a lot of AD&D (2nd & 3rd Ed) , and I know this was more or less not possible. LOL, and of course EQ is NOT D&D , but just curious of course......
Cuz otherwise, if its just not possible, I'm gona stick with my Wood Elf / Ranger / Bow, and rapier for the melee weapon if needed... an entirely dexterity based character (well Intelligence or Wisdom for the Bard spells if I can manage this)

Gnome Ranger as main. Troll Necro or Ogre Wizard as Alt.

Human Ranger. Someone has to be human right?
