Yep graphics arent the be all and end all of a game. But some are easier on the eye. I know people in Germany who will prob import the English client version to play, however there are still some issues with it being localized there. Kinda hard when the government ties your hands though.

Ya some people imported Two Worlds, but not sure why. It's really just a matter of cracking a cosmetic file that won't effect the games performance. Technically you could censor the US version if you wanted to just reversing the crack. If the files don't come on the CD. Then i'll host them on the web for people to download. Screw censorship. If I had kids they'd be allowed to cuss as much as they wanted as long as it wasn't directed at me or around strangers to show a sign of respec. My kids will get their first porn magazine FROM ME at age 13ish. I plan to bring them into this world with a full understanding and knowledge of todays society then teaching them the values of life by providing good examples of what to do. I do believe that if it is going to be classified AO, Funcom will reduce anything of concern to keep it as an M rating. Unfortunately, M rating won't keep most kids out
Actually, it was quite fascinating to see how much work was put in earlier this year to get the female model right. The art director, the lead animator and a couple of gfx artists sat around a PC together and spent countless evenings going over the "reference material". To an untrained eye it may have seemed like they were just watching porn during work hours (and countless jokes were made at their expense )

Wonder if there will be females with "normal" bodies and boobs sizes. Atleast my experience is that big breasted female characters mostly only attract guys. Most girls, that I know atleast, don't like playing females that remind them of the body ideals that reign in society now a days.

AO = death to a game. Check out Manhunt 2 with its AO rating, banned in some countriess and only avil. on the net. Not sure if its been overhauled yet, haven't checked up on it in awhile. Regardless an AO rating means not in Walmart, not in Best Buy not anywhere cept the local game shops or the web, hurting their sales, HURTING the game with a lack of funding.
You won't see an mmo rated AO unless it's just a sex based mmo done with low budget (ie. a niche game for soem adults) if funcom made aoc ao they might as well go out of business now.
Female models looked pretty nice, and armor looked very good as well. I do wonder though what female players will think about this. That and I can already see naked characters dancing and offering to buff you for gold
I thought they did an awesome job on the female character, yea the boobs do look too good to be real so we think they are fake boobs, o well they still look nice. I thought the armor design was pretty badass, I havent seen a game yet with armor that looks so cool. In WoW the armor sets look pretty cool, even though they are a bit too glowy, Lotr the armor looks like absolute cheap crap, no matter what upgrades they still look like low level items, and SWG only had Composite when I played it but I thought Composite was an awesome looking armor set.
The people who keep complaining about more 13 or 14 year olds playing this game sound more and more ignorant everytime something regarding the adult content keeps being mentioned. People around that age bracket play everygame and most of the time its immature adults acting like pricks and not the kids always, if you are waiting for the perfect mature game with no 13 year olds in it dont hold your breath because it will never happen, you are better off hanging out with your friends or going to the bar.

Not saying the AoC avatars are bad. They're 10 times better than the males. They actually look good. The running was a bit feminine for a barbarian-esque female, but it worked for the gypsy looking avatar. I would expect the more fierce class females to run a bit more aggressive or manly.

I will say its disappointing to see 'Yet another game that thinks cloaks are flaps of cloth on your back.' I realize that rendering a real cloak would be rough with the clipping and animation issues, but I despise seeing people run around with 'flaps' on their backs just as much. Either ditch the concept of rendering cloaks altogether (EQ1 anyone?) or do it right.
You suggesting that they start doing them in the image of Spawn's red cape blowing int he wind while being 15 meters long? I'll admit that would be awesome but it would probably make your vid card asplode

A cloak is the predecessor of the coat. It goes over your shoulders to close fully in the front. Fighting in them wasn't very viable (they're typically heavy as they're meant to keep the weather off you and keep you warm...) Take a rain poncho, and slice a opening in the front, and that's pretty much a 'full circle' cloak. There are 'half circle' cloaks, but they still go over the shoulders.
