Yes i remember quite well. I was at home watching it on TV..praying for my Granddad who was on flight 175.

Long answer: Walking to 6th period science in 7th grade when I heard someone say over my shoulder "someone just flew a plane into the world trade center" I didn't know what the world trade center was or how severe it was, I actually thought they were just trying to get attention. Then I walked into class where I saw my science teacher flicking through the channels then he hit the news channel and backed up and just stared. Halfway through class and watching the events unfold, our principle came in and turned off the tv and said it's something we shouldn't see. So I didn't get to see the towers fall live but I heard it later in the day over the pa system.

Busy joking with my classmates about how someone probably pulled a prank at the WTC.
Our teachers, for some reason I will never be able to understand, apparently decided that 16, 17, and 18 year olds couldn't handle the thought that someone would deliberately cause such destruction. They mumbled something about a fire and went on with school, though a lot of them kept slipping out, probably to watch the TV in the break room in retrospect. Not one of us had a clear view of what happened until hours after the event, not that anyone had a crystal clear vision of it for those first few days.
Where I was when I really heard about it... at home, sharpening my bowie knife. I wasn't foolish enough to believe I would be using the thing in any other capacity than normal, but it still felt good. If I'd had a gun license and a piece to go with it at the time, I'd have probably been polishing that instead.

In my appartment, awakening to a frantic phone call from my girlfriend at the time. She lived in New York City, I picked up the phone and heard a ranting phone call saying 'they blew it up.' I tried to talk through her frenzy, then got through with a 'blew what up?' Then she said 'the towers.' About that point I threw on pants and ran downstairs to the television. I don't remember who turned it on, if I was the first there or my roomates, I just remember watching the whole thing unfold. I remember the newscasters seeming to think it was a tragic accident. Then we all saw the second plane hit on live television, and knew what had really happened.

I was sitting in the first desk in the first row in Mr. Beward's first period Geography class. Mr. Renshaw came in and told Mr. Beward what was going on, he turned on the TV and we sat there and watched CNN for the rest of the period.
I was in school and the whole class was quiet doing our essays and then on the intercom our assistant principle told us to turn our TV's (which is usually on a digital clock) to a channel and we saw the news. I thought it hat to be a dream in the grade i was in, but it was real. I know many people around the school was horrified, but I wasn't really. As time passed (2 days) I started to realize the incident for what it was. Terrible...I have a relative who got out safely, but so many didn't make it.
I was in 7th grade and all of the sudden over the intercom lists of names were being called to come to the office to get picked up. Our teacher wasn't aloud to tell us what was going on and when he tried talking with us he was interrupted literally after every half word with a beep and names being called from the intercom. I was thinking, SCORE we get to go home today. When I got home I didn't really give a hoot and just went to play some games.
Any one from Maryland remember the snipers. I remember having to criss cross when walking home from school :P
I was chatting online while watching the news of the first plane crashing...managed to catch the second plane crash and the obvious turn from accident to a man-made event as the reality dawned on people.
Then I went back to chatting about it online.....think I was drinking a Mountain Dew :P
I got a call at home to turn on the TV. The screen came to life with an image of the WTC towers billowing smoke, followed by an "instant-replay" of a jumbo jet slamming into one earlier. "The sunuvabitch finally did it," I muttered, referring to bin Laden. I always had an interest in global terrorism because I saw it as the "best" possible catalyst for world war 3.
My 60 year old neighbor came over from across the street in my Detroit neighborhood to warn me of an impending attack and that we needed to do something to ensure our safety... or something to that effect. She looked terrified. I imagined that in this old woman's mind Russian paratroopers could drop from the sky at any moment and things around the neighborhood would start randomly exploding. I had to try hard to keep from laughing during that beat where I imagined what was going on in that old Cold War indocrinated noggin of hers.
Hope you got your things together. Hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like we're in for nasty weather. ... There's a bad moon on the rise.

School. I heard nothing about the attacks until I came home. My school didn't even close, and I live close to New York.
Was in a cybercafé for the rain and I witnessed the whole thing unfold on the net. Quite the experience.
You know something is terribly wrong when all news sites are down. (found a backdoor tho, which showed some weird news..........)

I was in school at the time, ironically we had a bomb treat just a moment before.
We had to go outside while police with dogs searched the school for any explosives.
Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit
I was at school. All happy cause i just turned 10.
Happy birthday dude... sorry it turned out like that/this.
I was in school, close enough to breathe fume (but not within sight distance).
