WoW is damn ugly on a high end pc... but am sure it looks good on youre 5200 gfx card.
Blizz clearly was not aiming for "bleeding edge" gamers. They made their product attractive and playable on older systems.
I was invited to the Vanguard beta, but my older system (that plays WoW just fine) could not handle the graphics, rendering Vanguard unplayable.
Keying your game to only those with the lastest systems means that you're excluding customers. Blizz did not make that particular mistake.
But like I've said...Blizz put out a product that avoided a lot of mistakes others made, and they have a phenomenon on their hands as a result.
Vanguard, not so much.
Not to mention that Vanguard is damn ugly even in high rez with everything maxed the game looks like a washed out water color painting, When are developers going to learn that game design is an art and not a science, meaning that more polygons doesnmt mean better. When I see wow I see a lush fleshed out world, when I see vanguard or EQ2 I see a robotic cosmos where people walk like they have their faces paintined on.
I realize that the reason people hate its beacuse its so beautiful.
In much the same way as Britney Spears or Paris Hilton, I'm pretty sure people hate WoW because it is shallow and stupid, and has no problem flaunting itself in front of the masses.
Exactly, I think thats how it is.
Still why hate?
It's boring, has bad graphics and repetitive gameplay. You don't like it, don't play, just ignore.
You do realize OP that all you are doing is tossing troll bate, but anyway theres a million of posts like this, and unfortunately the trolling of this community is weak and beat to death so unfortunately theres nothing good to read anymore, but it was a nice attempt.

That's a strange idea to hate computer game.
Okay no offense but I find comparing a product that involves programmers development teams and product cycles to a human who markets herself as a whore quite illogical and impossible. Please explain to me what part of paris hilton corresponds to a say a graphics engine or game play? Lol. Even the food comparison falls flat on its face. MMORPGS are a luxury product, by definition there is no mass appeal only mass appeal relative to the gaming population which is quite small and pricing and attributes etc......behave more like a mercedes. So if your going to compare to cars you would have to say that wow is a mercedes or lexus and then you would have to say that any game better is a lambergini etc. etc.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.
