MMORPG.com has the worst adherance to forum rules I've ever seen in any website.
The moderators here allow the bad guys to troll easily, flame openly, and hate regularly.
This is ridiculous that moderators allow people to flame, troll, and hate without any........MODERATION. That's what being a moderator is about, MODERATING.
It's ridiculous how these flamers, trolls, and hate-filled posters get away with CONSISTENTLY breaking the rules.
I know I might get banned for dissing the moderators, but that'll only PROVE my point that they are so corrupt, being PART of the problem (flaming, hating, trolling) and they'll just abuse their power by deleting this post, banning me, and anyone else who speaks the truth of how we need someone to ENFORCE THE RULES
You can pick ANY thread on these forums and as you scroll down, 90% of the replies will be flames, trolling, or hate-filled. Yet the moderators sit back and do nothing, except for ban people who speak about this problem.
Well, cya, I'm about to get banned by a mod who wants to abuse his power instead of fixing this community by resolving its massive problems.
==---EVIDENCE OF FLAME/TROLL/HATEFUL POSTS THAT ARE ACTIVE, NOT EVEN CONSIDERED BY MODS TO BE DELETED---==
I just clicked random threads and found all of these within 5 minutes.
This is just some posts found within 5 minutes, clicking a few threads and just scrolling down. The attitude of people here is so negative and hate-filled, the flames and trolling is so rampant, and instead of getting their posts deleted, given a warning, or getting banned, the mods seem to WELCOME this kind of behavior and rule-breaking by not only allowing it fully, but by banning anyone who speaks out that this behavior is allowed.
The amount of trolls, hate-filled people, and flamers are out of control, and mods aren't doing a single thing to even try and apply their rules, unless it's to someone like me who breaks the most important rule of all: No talking about moderator's actions because they are power-abusers who can ban you if you do.

/ban for failing to understand what an online community is....a sound board for people to speak their mind with no chance of real life repercussions.
The fact that most people choose this feature to spout flames of hate is simply a problem with society in general and is not the responsibility of forum moderators to change.
If you want "politeness" (read lies) then go outside where people keep their thoughts primarily inside their heads.
C'est la vie. Things happen. Get over it.
your arguement is so persuasive, so filled with knowledge and insight. You back up your argument very articulately, with suggestions of improvements and raising examples to glorify your position....oh wait, you didn't

Watch your habits; they become character.

A couple points.
1. Very disrespectful post. Specifically to those whose names you've listed, but also to MMORPG.com and it's community as a whole.
2. You are too sensitive.
Here goes,
By reading your post, I am sure that you are unaware that MMORPG.com uses volunteer moderators for its forums. Men and women who give their time and do their best to keep the community running. Should you wish to donate your time, I would suggest that you submit your name to taera@mmorpg.com for consideration.
Further, I would submit that you are unaware that each post in each thread here at MMORPG.com contains a "report" button, which our users employ in order to alert the moderators to a specific problem. We use this tool because of the sheer number of forums that this site supports.
Finally, you make a number of accusations about this site's moderation staff. If you have evidence that moderators are abusing their power, you can email our Community Manager at Taera@mmorpg.com so that she can investigate the matter.
I hope this clears things up for you.

So Sayeth The 20 posts guy! Welcome to MMORPG! Want a cookie?
Look, this is a place where mmo gamers go to say what they think/feel about topics important to them. It's not always gonna be positive things that are said amongst us. Especially cause well, you know.....everybody is different. Opinions are to be taken as such....opinions. Seems to me you take things a little too personally. Lighten up, and just enjoy whatever game you play that made you look up this sight in this first place. Life is too short to dwell on what others think or say about or to you. It's not that serious.
Funny actually... he is flaming the forum moderators yet points out what others do wrong.
Stradden is it safe to say that you are not a volunteer.
Who holds you accountable for the actions you make?
Simply emailing Taera dosen't work for its you who causes the problems now is it?
Edit: I mean to say when you are a person who causes a problem Stradden. Whom do we talk to then.
I agree Varking. He is flaming ten times harder than average, and its about flaming. He's flaming about flaming lol.
/report
Use it.
I agree with saivior also. If anyone ever says something you truly find offensive or degrading then simply report them. However, don't be a jerk and report everyone who says something you dont like or dont agree with.
So by the OP's own view...
OMG ban the OP!!!! He is flaming the mod's which is against the rules!!! He mentioned my name in which I view as a hateful manner, BAN HIM!!!!
Or maybe the OP chose everybody from ONE specific thread because he felt differently than everybody else yet doesn't know how to argue his own point back.
I fully expect to see a warning in my inbox very soon.
And if the moderators care to look, this guy registered today and has spammed this same post in multiple threads. I wouldn't exactly take him seriously.
You might consider the web site to be his home. What do you do when you think someone is being rude to you in their home? Most people leave and don't come back.
No one; in that case, you either suck it up or you leave.
No one is making you come here. The same goes for the OP. No one is forcing any of us to visit MMORPG.COM. There are no agents of the evil empire holding guns to your heads or threatening to club baby harp seals if you don't visit the forums.

Honestly, the only thing I think people should be banned for are things like blatantly swearing, or using racial slurs, stuff like that. If someone calls someone a noob, or a carebear, or tells someone to STFU...who cares, its all part of forum lingo, and has been for years and years.
Other than people spamming posts about buying game gold, etc, I think the ban stick should go away. Once upon a time we had freedom of speech in this country.
While we're at it, banning people for not agreeing with someone else, or tossing an insult or two...we should support the old guys trying to ban video game violence....lets sheath our swords, and desist casting fireballs. Lets replace them with giant flowers and shiny rainbow colors where no one dies or gets hurt...and stuff/sarcasm off.
D.
p.s. Sorry, I'm just tired of people constantly placing restrictions on us. The more liberal we get, the more restrictions we have...how does that work?
Love that quote! How true.
Sorry, didnt understand.... was this sopposed to be a joke ?

They do ban folks. As a happy customer of a ban recently I can affirm that. All I did was tell someone to go kill themselves. It's not like I called them a name or anything. (said tongue in cheek -- partly).
I agree every forum needs to set some boundaries and close threads that get out of hand (if only to serve the forum owner's own needs to maintain a profit / appearence that they prefer), but most calls for bans are silly. If you don't like the boards tone or moderation -- leave. We all come here because despite the occasional slaps given out by other members it is a fairly good place to discuss these topics.
Certainly if it is a moderator that is the problem, I would suggest emailing the offending person and their higher-ups if advertised -- and then leave if still not happy. It's not the only game in town. Just one of the more or less decent ones.
First of all OP, I suspect you broke one of the major rules of this site.....I think you are posting on an alt account because you don't have the courage to risk having your main account banned. (although your style of formatting your posts is familiar, bet I could figure out who your main is)
Second, what you call hate and flaming, I call having a good argument. I don't consider any of the posts that you listed (too funny that a mod edited it) particularly annoying..... I might not agree with them...but I support the posters right to say what they want. If I really didn't want to read it...I'd either block them or report them....
If you want heavily moderated discussions, feel free to visit the official forums that most games have. Those usually lock things down pretty hard. But leave MMORPG.com for the rest of us to discuss our games, even when we do it to the extreme.
I think the moderators do a great job on this site..... with the right amount of balance. I've seen no evidence of moderator malfeasance even though even I felt the ban stick on one occasion. (they were right in that instance, I had gone way over the top in a personal attack on a poster, must have been having a bad month or something)
As others have already pointed out.... creating a trolling post that flames the moderators and the members of this site is hardly the correct way to push your point...... you were more annoying than most of the posts I read here.

to OP :
Welcome to the gaming world where the I PWND YOU is still in effect.
Thank you
All canceled. Waiting on Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning.
1) sometimes to get a good laugh.... LOL!
2) to get a sence of the haters... usaly if there is alot of haters for a game, it is worth looking at. Meaning if a game causes alot of hate it is taking away from some other game, and that game might have something i like.
3) To get a sence of how well my (current, the game im playing now) game is doing in the MMO communtiy.
4) To cast my own reviews and opinions on MMOs, be it hate or love, i just like to be able to say what i want in an open forum.
Take the quiz!
You're right, I am not a volunteer and managing this website is my full time job. In fact, MMORPG.com has four content employees: myself, our News Manager Szark, our Community Manager Taera and our Art Director Skywisenight.
If you have a problem with something that I am doing, or that any of the site management are doing, you should email me directly at stradden@mmorpg.com.
