Not trying to be mean, but that is the truth when something takes longer to make than projected.

Aventurine hired Razorwax and just about tripled their dev team in november 2002. So they started up pretty much up the same time as Funcom's AoC. In development, there are three things you want. High quality, fast development and cheap. The problem is that you only can choose two. If DF is going for high quality, cheap...that is fine for me.

Aventurine did not hire Razorwax. There is no third party seperate entity called Aventurine. Aventurine was and "IS" razorwax. Always was always will be.

Of course they did lie about it a few years ago when they announced they found a publisher and are moving to Greece. Which in reality was just them moving to Greece and registering a new company.

This project makes Dark and Light look like a superior game.

I fail to see how they lied. In case you didnt know when they MERGED with aventurine(aventurine was already a company) they got alot more money to support thier game with than they used to have and was contantly supplied.

My problem with DF is not if it's vaporware or not...

My problem is time. I don't know what about you guys, but when this game was announced i was the beginning of my twenties. I may be in the beginning of my thirties, when DF finally arrives... Err yeah, i'm almost done with paying my house and car, plus my kids are in an age they start playing games then.

I guess as hardcore of a fan as i could be, almost a decade of just waiting for a game to hit shelves -> No thx :)

i completely agree with this guy and i dont even care for DF...ive just been following it since it was first made public. But it is funny sitting here watching a whole bunch of ppl crying out for a game that probably wont even see the light of day called release....and if it does...it probably wont even be that good.
