I want to know why anyone would even consider mass effect was to be made a MMO, Mass effect hasn't even come out yet no one knows what the game is besides what the devs have told us and they said it is a true RPG, The game is not even out and a MMO is in the works it may or may not be KOTOR, Baldur's gate, ME, NWN, HPO, etc what ever it will be but i highly doubt it is or will be mass effect.
And you cannot forget the MMO in the works under Bio-ware, Dragon age.
First, thank god it's not a god damn D&D game.
Second ME has been confirmed to be a trilogy, who knows one of the games might have online, one of em might be an MMO of sorts(again just wishful thinking)
i think its gonna be Baldurs gate, or mass effect. I hope its Mass Effect

Ohmigod people - it's a lucasarts game. Most likley KoTOR.
Why is this so hard to accept? They even registered for the lucasartsbioware.com site last week!!! It's on their network as a redirect now. Just accept it.
Yes, because only Bioware could have possibly registered lucasartsbioware.com/net/org with GoDaddy. Just like Gordon Walton uses his hotmail account to personally register FalloutOnline.com. Oh, and his cell phone number too...
Also, going to lucasartsbioware.com no longer redirects to the main page. Gonna go with "Bioware blocked the phony site redirecting to their name server".
Also, if they were making KotOR Online, why, why, why, would they register lucasartsbioware.com? Why not kotoronline.com? Or simply add a new page to their existing website?
Edit: For the record, if I felt like spending $10 or so, I could register some variation of KotOROnline.com or the like, with GoDaddy, and identify myself as "Bioware" without providing any authentication as to the veracity of my registration. I imagine redirecting to Bioware.com isn't to terribly hard. However, that would be a waste of time, as Kotor Online is already being developed. By some putz out of MO.

I kept asking myself that question when I saw lucasartsbioware.com being used as evidence that this will be KotOR. That domain name makes no sense whatsoever. Unless I'm missing something obvious.

ya, pretty much what I thought of when that person posted that lucasartsbioware.com link
it really proves nada. I mean who spends time checking for this type of thing regularly and coincidentally, the person who finds it happens to be one of the obsessive on the Bioware forums pinching thier nipples for a KOTOR MMO?
"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a robot foot stomping on a human face -- forever."
Or that person (ME) is just smarter than Bioware and found them making a REALLY dumb mistake. You do know that Bioware had to physically add that site to their nameserver. Some bioware employee physically typed that into their server?

Yea, pure coinsidence.
Could it really be that easy? I really hope the powers that be are ramping up for a big announcement! Sadly, I don't think we will hear anything until Mass Effect has been out a few weeks
Well i ahvent read any of the replies so forgive me if this has been said before but. I feel a KOTOR MMO is more likely for 2 reasons.
1. Star Wars is well known as a franchise and KOTOR has quite a good reputation in itself.
2. Mass Effect is an unknown true we have seen the game but who here has played it. To me at least it looks a LOT like KOTOR in a different skin which is not a bad thing really but to close to KOTOR for my liking. And when i say its to much like KOTOR im mainly refering to the way it seems to work which is a lot in fact in amny areas ive seen its the same as KOTOR.

Not only that, but BioWare has already stated, the IP does not belong to them. So that would rule out Mass Effect.

Dragon Age isn't an MMO. It's...supposedly...a PC exclusive single player cRPG. But now that EA is in all bets are off I guess.
Personally I think we need 12 or 30 more Bioware/KotOR threads that way the discussion is broken up and confusing instead of linear and constructive.

ZOMG!
It's proof that Lucas Arts is buying Bioware from EA to save teh Devs from teh B0rg!!! For teh GAMERZ!!!11eleven.
Just out of curiousity, would they need someone to act as a liaison with experience in handling IP's for their own IP?
1. The site still redirects
2. It's an entry on Biowares name server - they had to physically add this entry.
3. Who cares what Gordan has unless Bioware sets it up in their nameserver
In policework - this is what they would call......a clue.

I agree with that.
They must be planning though. They are changing a lot on their network that I am constantly looking at. They are gearing up for sure.

I'll bet the day they announce...the site crashs...lol
*edit* meh..
