Everytime Mythic announces and gives details on a new class in WAR...I then immediatly want to play that class. Right now, Im going to have to level up like 20 different classes.
However, I pride myself on playing classes that generally are NOT that commonplace and really surprising people. Every MMORPG seems to have those popular classes that make up 30-35% of the population. Which class in WAR do you think will be the least played? And why.
NOTE: I said least played, not least powerful. I have faith in Mythic . This isnt a power ranking of the classes, just which one will be payed the least.

The dorfs as a whole will be least played.
Always change your signature.
Dwarfs and greenskins will be least popular races. So, one of their classes, probaly not shaman or engineer though. Also, squig herder being destruction's only pet class probably means it won't be the least played class. Choppa perhaps? (black orcs seem pretty popular)
Probably hammerer, ironbreaker or rune priest for dwarfs.
Could be on of the other race's class, but it would seem that other races will be more popular compared to dwarfs and greenskins, so that even if they do have a less popular class, it will still have more people playing it compared to classes of less popular races.
I would say least played Order race will be Dwarves, with the Runepriest being the least played class on that side.
My reasoning: Dwarves area always the least played race in any game that they are in & the healer is always the least played class, always.
Destruction side I'd say it's going to be a tossup between the Shaman and the Zealot... just won't know until things play out in-game, but I'm leaning more toward the Zealot being the least played class on the Destruction side.
My reasoning: They are both healers, one for Greenskin and one for Chaos. The Shaman seems like a much more unique & cool healer to me then the Zealot does, but the Zealot is "human-like" and humans are always the most played race.

Going to agree with the other statements here.
Stunties will be the least played race, and Runepriest the least played class. Frankly the runepriest just doesn't have anything that sets them apart from cookie-cutter healing classes, whereas the Shaman, Zealot, Archmage (which was reported to have healing powers) and Warrior Priest all sound pretty cool.
I have to agree with people who point out Dwarfs tend to be the least popular as well as healers, so I'm voting that Dwarf Rune Priests will a lonely class.
I also agree that they just don't seem to have a very interesting mechanic. The other Healer/Support classes all seem to have gimmicks/twists to make them more intriguing. Maybe Mythic figured that Dwarf + Healers were a lost cause and just gave them a straightforward mechanic and saved the cooler mechanics for classes that would see more play
I predict the only thing more rare than a Dwarf Rune Priest will be a female Dwarf Rune Priest
I guess is that manbearpig will be the least popular.
Well then, IM going to have to play a dwarf as one of mny first chars. I find that when you play an underplayed class....you are at an advantage against your foes. Thanks for the input!

If you look at The Steel Legion and The Altdorf First Legion guilds, they all have a ton of Rune Priests. I am not so sure it will be the lest played class but I am pretty sure that a Dwarf something will be.
I agree. But I think the second least played class with be knights of the burning sun. Their armor with all those feathers looks entirely pathetic. I'm sure they'll have their own stuff to add, but I think a lot of people will be put off by the garish look.
Damn straight. I think KotBS look great. Just look at the guy in my sig, I know you don't want to run into him on the battlefield. Don't fear the feathers... fear the 'stache.
I have to agree with the dwarven rune priest being the likely least to be played race/combination. The only thing that could possibly be less played is...
THE MULTIPLAYER!
MMO Vet since AOL Neverwinter Nights circa 1992. My MMO beat up your MMO. =S
Kotbs won't be least popular class. Humans are always popular, kotbs is a primary tank, and has buffs in the way of chants/auras, surely a lot of people will play it. Plus, when some friends who are still playign wow ask you what class you are playing in war, you could tell them you are playing a Knight of the BS that alone is good enaugh to make it popular =p
Alright, let's invert the question then!
Which class will be, in your opinion, the most played in the game?
My money's on the Witch Hunter for Order, and the Chaos Chosen for Destruction. Why? Because I've seen a lot of people praise the Hunter design and so on, and well, they ARE pretty damn cool. And the Chosen because they're Tanks, they can do loads of crap, are "evil humans" and look really badass.
Excluding the unkown, I think Witch Hunter, Warrior Priest, Sword Master, and Shadow Warrior for Order. Witch Elf, Black Guard, Magus, and Squig Herder for Destro.

You'll probably want to chuck in Zealot for Destruction. At least, that's what I think. Other than that I imagine you're pretty spot on. If not that then it will just be an even spread over all classs.
What exactly is it about the dwarfs that they are so shunned? Is it a "size matters' issue?

Maybe the majority of players just don't want to associate themselves virtually with a short fat person?

One word man:Kneecaps
Bollocks!
I think black orcs will be played alot also, as most of the people that are playing goblins are going black orc, and the rest squig herder.
I'm going to say Greenskin Shaman and Dwarf Rune Priest...
Until the game really gets underway hears will still have a stigma to them.
And I honestly thing in the first few weeks that people will either play healers as full on DPS with the odd heal to themselves, or try to play just a straight healer, which will also limit their ability to heal and buff well.
Until people actually figure out how to play the hybrid classes, I dont't think they will be all that popular.
Like you said, while both will likely be lesser played, when played the right way they will likely be one of the more powerful classes.
Most likely so, however even after people become acclimated they will probably be played the least.
3 weeks and people dedicated to mains won't reroll unless Shams, RPs, etc are uber.
I actually think Archmage, Warrior Priest, and Zealot will be fairly popular. The two you mention though... I agree that those two will be the lowest two played classes in the game at release and possibly overall.
Unfortunately the description of a Runepriest, whether accurate or not, sounds like a glorified buff bot. The write up also doesn't help when the description basically tells people it is ok to ignore the Runepriest to focus on another target. In that situation you have to wonder about the overall value / contribution that a Runepriest brings to the dwarven side. The mechanics also doesn't sound very fun..ie constantly casting spells on group mates and yourself.
They will likely tweak rune priest, because atm, it sounds exactly like casters in other mmos (cast spells, cast buffs, cast heals..) where as all healers have a mechanic to make them a bit more fun. The only other standard cast nuke/heal healer is zealot, but their rituals (ground targeted debuffs/buffs basicaly) make them a bit more interesting.
