Page i think most of us playing vanguard have atleast tryed WoW , IF you want to play it go right ahead myself i cant stand the game , you call it what you want i call it boring and repetative but your right if your friend is just starting mmo its better to start him in a game as simple as WOW
It´s so stupid to talk about a game you don´t play and wont play in future.
If I learn anything about games, is that the people have diferents opinions and nobody like the same.
Well, let the people play what he want, maybe you like the easy pro WOW, maybe the asian FF IX, maybe you are a SOE fan with EQ and etc. Let the people play. And don´t make opinion of any game you don´t play and don´t know.

That being said, it is typically better to rate a game based on your own experiences than on "popular" opinion and second-hand information. If and when a trial comes out, you can offer a testimony based on your experience of the early game.
I'm a harsh judge of games, and I actually liked Vanguard when I played it in beta. However, the performance issues were too extreme for me to play on my computer, and I didn't like it enough to stick around until the problems were fixed. Would I try it again when a demo is released? Absolutely; it is worth a second look.
Anyways, I play VG casually, and everytime I am on I see others. I am lvl 17, and NEVER have problems finding a group or at least someone to duo quests with.
Your mentality towards a game you've never played shows just how mindless you are so I'll not try and sway your opinion. What I will do is offer some advice; Play whatever it is that you like. You are already playing WoW? Well then I suggest you keep playing, and enjoying that. Don't come around here and expect to just flame a game you've never played though because that is stupid. No one will ever listen to someone crying wolf and admittedly doing so....
You will not be playing this game alone unless you have ZERO social skills. I just restarted playing and made a totally new character from level 1 and have had no problems at all finding a group or seeing people running around.
If you do not play this game you cannot claim that, which you do not. From your post history it is clear how you feel about the game. Move on....

Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate.
If you do not play this came you cannot claim that, which you do not. From your post history it is clear how you feel about the game. Move on....
I just started back as well, had quit a month after launch.
I had a minor issue with vid drivers at first, but since I;ve straightened that out the game is a blast.
I really expected it to be a mess. I honestly did. It's not... anymore.
As you've stated, there's plenty of people playing and enjoying it now and the only folks who would argue that point are the ones not playing the game at all.
I have played it and it is crap, was a flop from the day they released it and will remain a flop and SOE taking complete comtrol over it will not bring it out of the grave.
I resubbed 2 days ago and I find the game to be anything but crap. Then again from your post we can clearly understand that you are omniscient so I must be wrong.
Did I ever in my post say that I was god. I don't think so, so take the stupid attitude and shelve it. I stated my opinion and that was coming from being in the beta if you want to call it that ( to me it was an alpha state game with a beta title).
Your implications that it will remain a flop and SOE's involvement will not change that implies that you can see into the future. You never once said "in my opinion", "there is a possibility", or "I believe...". Making a definite statement is hardly just an opinion.
OMG your right, God forbid you can't use your imagination and actually think that is what I meant..Okay, for the simple minded folk here. I played in beta, yes. I also was in retail of the game after it went live. It was a mess in beta (but then again what games aren't). I decided to go live and bought the game and played it for oh about 3 weeks before I realized it wasn't for me. It was a buggy mess and should have stayed in beta for about 6 additional months.
Now for the big words that some of you just simply couldn't imagine yourselves. This is my opinion, but from hearing how the populations are on the few servers that are left I would say that not much has changed and that SOE took over too little too late to save it.
Good luck to those of you still brave enough to stay with a sinking ship.

Strangely enough the populations have been increasing instead of dropping. You have to look at this with an open mind. You have a game that did extremely bad at launch. The game could have just been scrapped and shut down. SOE however, decided to swoop in and buy it instead. Since then the game has been fixed, and is about to have major updates to it within the next few months.
SOE didn't abandon the game, in fact they are planning for a relaunch of it. They game couldn't get any worse, and if you look at SOE's plan they don't exactly give up on games that had bad launches and then low subs. Look at MxO or SWG, sure SWG had good numbers back when it was pre-NGE, but now it's got very low sub numbers. MXO never had high numbers, and was even worse off then when VG went live. (yes I played both in beta and in launch).
If nothing Vanguard will just be getting better, and until another WoW sub-hit happens and everyone flocks to that game, Vanguard will increase in popularity. The games far from dead, if you would play it you would see.
I'm a resub from release days. This is is much improved and very fun to play.
do they have a trial, I might give it a try if they have a trial of it out.
Wow, it sucks that you guys arent going to play Vanguard.

To the OP,
If you are never going to play VG why tell us about it, go and post the facts on the WoW forum and tell them why you will never play it.
I cant understand some people, but hey its takes all sorts!
