a trick on getting an extra BR before you do the VR Room as explained above, you can also get out your basic gear and instant action and try to kill some soldiers, mostly 1 good kill can give you an instant BR up and then start doing the VR training. After looking into the game and reading things on here i have decided to give planetside a go (givng you vets some fresh meat) just waiting for it to come in the post now if anyone has any tips i welcome them

Since i ambored of the games out now and all good new ones only get delayed i'll start PS up again too.It's a great game.Started at release and retried bout 9 months back.The amount of people online was a lot less then in the good old days but still enough for some "epic" fights.Cya'll out there.

that is not a "trick". its actually not smart. running around with basic gear (standard suppressor) gives your enemy a big advantage, not only skill wise but he is likely to have superior equipment too
leveling up...you start with only a few cert points as a BR1 char. certs are needed to gain equipment certifications,highest BR is 25. i strongly suggest that you go into Virtual Reality training and use every gun and then go to the driving range and use every vehicle tehre is atleast once. it gives you an idea how much different stuff is out there trying to kill you, so be cautious.
the PUNISHER looks great with all the options, but it is NOT a good weapon. you should NEVER use punisher rocklets. they have NO use whatsoever
as a benefit, you should reach BR4 just from testing each weapon and vehicle, giving you 3 more certpoints.
to make the game more enjoyable it is often important to find a good group of players (outfit). for starters i would look into the squadlistings and join an outfitsquad. see if they want to help you, if not join a different squad.
once you find a squad with nice ppl who are willing to help, i suggest to ask them for an outfitinvite, if they havent done that already. important would be that the outfit uses some form of voicecom (Ventrilo or TeamSpeak). if you join it doesnt mean you have to stay forever, but such an outfit would atleast help you to get started.
if you cant find a squad, ask a commander if he could give you advice (ppl typing Global messages).
if you run around with experienced players, you will automatically pick up stuff. if you feel lost, dont hesitate to ask.

Hey guys, i would say about once a year. i come on the PS forums here and start reading just for fun. and everytime i get that old "itch" to play PS again. Then i resub for a few months till i get my fix .
But this time around ive upgraded my system and i have a core2 duo 1.86 , ive read some things and even seen some videos on youtube showing how the dual processors mess this game up.
Have they fixed this at all? Do i need to even worry with the processor i have? Any help would be appreciated, cuz i realy realy want to play again!

if you reactivate your old acc, then you have your old chars back....they havent been deleted

I'm an old school player, Played when it first came out to about 3 months after core and then about 2 months before the BFR came out to about 2 months after that, dropped it again and picked it up while home on leave, Can't play currently due to bad internet connect over here in Iraq but when I get back I look forward to fragging you gents .
I just started myself, and though I did play before, when it first came out.. a WHILE ago, so much has changed its almost brand new.. It is amazingly fun! The strategic warfare and TRIBES like fighting makes this game a perfect alternative to games like Battlegrounds: Europe (WW Online)..
got 2 of us coming back tonite tried potbs its ok but we wanna get a break , figured this gamne was fun before and been reading folks having blast again so going to give it a go
