i played the trial it is great!!!especially the fighting when you ride

REMEMBER THE OLD DAYS AND REGRET THEY HAVE PASSED.
I bought it. It's a very good game and archery is just fun to do. Headshot cavalry people as they ride by! Heh. The mods are pretty neat, too. The Last Days is hard to start, but once you get up there you can fight in some pretty epic battles.
The developers are actually a turkish couple (if i can recall) and other developers started to join the team in time.
When i found out about the game i was pretty skeptical, people said it was a great game so i tried it out and im now still playing the full version of the game The gameplay is unique, and i love it, pretty addicting and the way you fight on horses is very well made! realistic even!
YOu can download the game and play till level 6, so i recommend you to try it out and play around with it and if you like it, buy it
I hope to god you guys aren't all just people from this project trying to push this game on us. Those types of tactics piss me off. If you want people to play your game thats fine, but we don't need a skit.
Well first, im not part of the team hell, i dont even participate in the community. i just play the game and find it great.
I'm not trying to get this guy to play the game, if he plays it, great for him. i dont see any benefits for me if i can get him to play the game, he is just asking how the game is like and people reply and answers his questions.

I wish i was part of that team : (
No its just a damn good game. If it was a MMO......it would be a WoW killer.
yes tried it and I made a post about it also, I thought it was quite entertaining and nice original gameplay on it. Worth checking out for sure, maybe some of the developers even can learn some from it. Too bad the demo is so short time sure fly when you play it .

I'm a mod on the taleworlds site if that gives me any credibility. Basically, the team doesn't have the resources to have some sort of evil marketing campaign like that-- its only a small team of four or five guys and they're all focused on improving the game itself. Futhermore, even if they had the resources, there's no reason for them to even worry about marketing. The game's spread by word of mouth like wildfire.
Now, about your main concern, there was a player, not anyone related directly to the development, that posted a topic requesting for people to go off and essentially market the game for the devs. The idea got shot down pretty fast, as people know that'd just give the community a worse ( ) reputation. I have a slight feeling that the post also got locked at some point because 1) it was a crap idea from the start, 2) quickly people realized the unsound nature of the suggestion and 3) flamers :O
I've owned the game since it was just a tiny lil thing... It has advanced greatly with each new version released... Makes me happy I bought it early in developement, when it was under 10$
For a single player game it actually makes swords and ridin fun hehe. I've become a champion with the lance I tell ya, now I take my merry band of 20 people and fight armies of 200+..And then I just ride em through knocking em out with mah lance... Ofcourse, if they manage to stop me... I'm oh so dead.
I wish it had multiplayer tho.. The idea of doing a fight against another player in that combat system is rather intriguing... Who's lance hits first?!

Why is that when people are hyping a game with high production values and mainstream attention, they're not considered company insiders, yet when anyone recommends a less popular game, they're automatically labeled that way.
There are many excellent games with cult followings who are just spreading the word for people who might not have heard of them. Relax.

I remember reading a topic of a dev with their plans of the future and they are planning a multiplayer mode for the game. I can't wait for it lol, would love to play a game with 50 real players haha

Mount & Blade is a fantastic game, its that simple, i dont think i have to say much more, i really, really like this game alot, the devs work hard an they truely deserve this game to do well.

This game is fantastic! I played the trial through to level 8 and then had to buy it because I needed to keep going. The combat is absolutely fantastic.
Sure it has some minor problems,
Examples: Better graphics (not a big deal though), Better facial customization (still not that bad though), and maybe more fluid animations when your in town (but still pretty good considering).
But overall this game is #1 on my list right now of games that I'm playing.
I'm actually somewhat excited that the Devs of DarkFall mentioned they modeled their combat after this game. Now if they could just get around to releasing Darkfall.
Also, has anyone played Ogre Battle? This game reminds me alot of that.
I have been playing M&B for about 2 months now and have been quite impressed with the fighting, It is quite unique. It also has had me hooked during this time and have played it for many hours. I would like to point out though, that this game is still being developed and a number of the quests/interactions with NPC's are not finished. Also they are regularly updating the versions which are in the majority NOT backward compatible. Last week there were 3 updates to the main version (Native) and each were not backward compatible. So having to restart from the beginning each time. You can import your old character into the new game, so keeping your skills, but overall you have to start from the beginning in building up your army. Also there are various mods available to play variations of the Native game plus it is fairly easy to mod your own game (many mod tutorials in the forum). The downside to the available mods is that due to the regularity of the updates, you can only play these mods on older versions. I have found that many of these mods crash due to incompatability problems. If you can put up with some of the above mentioned problems, then I would certainly recommend playing M&B.
I will add in my edorsement for this game. Its mounted combat is awesome. I have owned it for about 2 years now. With the many mods available for it is a highly replayable game. I recommend Last Days (LOTR) and the Onin Ran (Samurai) mods. They are excellent.
I went through the forums the other day and read about some sort of modern warfare mod, with muskets and stuff like that. I thought it was kind of a cool idea, but I really like how the playability of it as it is right now.
It would be really awesome if they could get an online mode going. I had a friend come over last night and let him try it, he played it for an hour and a half just in the arena.

I begun to play it when i heard that the Darkfall devs based their combat system from this game. And its not a MMO. Its a single player game.
And the combat system is really fun. Its a FPS....First Person Sworder.

And Mount&Blade is one of the few little games that can speak for itself.
Once you try it....not many dislike what they see : )

well darkfall is a much larger game than M&b but i think the devs know they have to get it into beta before aoc and war release

what will the log in screen be like? and does it need anything to run the browers like a java support?
you just need use the normal brower to run this game, such as the IE brower or the firefox brower^_^
