Man, the graphics and sound effects just blow WoW's away! Whoever made the video wedged an early alpha snippet in there, but you can see how far they've progressed since then. From cheesy WoW cartoon to grittier and realistic. The Greenskins and Dwarves are beginning to look pretty awesome. Check it out:

Nice, when are these slightly upgraded spell effects and sounds supposed to be released to World of Warcraft players? Oh wait, this is WAR? Looks more like a WoW patch.
You're on crack. The graphics and sound effects in the beginning are far superior to WoW. The second snippet (with the two dwarves beating on the orc.. which was pre-alpha) is what WoW looks like right now.

Game looks great. It seems more polished everytime I see a new vid. Very cool.

It is amazing (unsure if it's in a good or bad way) how many of those graphics, animations, and effects are carbon-copied from DAoC. I look at the videos and I can't help but think every time "Wow, that's an Eldritch spell" or "There goes a fire wizzie nuke" or "Whoa, Merc animation copy!" Kinda feels like eater eggs to an old-school (Pre-ToA) DAoCer like myself.
Seen quite a few recent videos lately, those 2 posted here are pretty much one of the best I've come across from YouTube.

The combat looks slow and horrible and i don't get why they are just all standing still, what ever happened to dodging shots like by running behind them or something? I also didn't find the effects or sound effects very good, i always thought they were placeholder ones but it's looking like they aint
I know this game is going to be a big disappointment and not the smash hit we all want but please just frigging make it better than this Mythic cause i'm bored and want a new mmorpg after 3 years.

lol... I never said anything about the gameplay or graphics. I was more talking about the quality of the video. As for the gameplay and graphics I cant say much as I dont have a clue under what circumstances the video was shoot.
Sure it looks a little blend and rough. But as I said in another topic here. Only time will tell how the final product will be. Either it sucks or it rocks or it is somewhere in between.

Can the swordmaster dual wield in the game? Because in some of the sketches I see at the website they have swords in each hand.
bah damn it posted about the wrong video..either way its a player made video honestly what do you expect? You can't judge a game on another Player's Skills.

Anyway, I think I finally seen what the problem is between some of us saying the graphics are shitty and some saying they are awsome. Here is the problem I see, it is both.
Look at the gunfire from the dwarfs, to me those gun shots look great, but look at a lot of the spellcaster graphics and I wonder what the hell happened. They just seem dead, a flash of color so you know you did something, no life to it.
This of course is my opinion, so hopefully no one takes offense to it, but, I truly think thats why there is an arguement about it all the time here on the forums. Only thing I would like to see is them give the casters a big upgrade to spell graphics and we would see many more agreeing that the graphics are good in the game.

It also depends on the tiem between teh videos, teh ones with the dwarves vs teh orcs is very recent wehreas teh caster ones look a little more dated.
Nice videos, smooth and love the vegetations, dont rem seeing a wither tree in WoW....
But they really need to polish the part when you hit your opponent, need to have that sound effect that gives that "hump!" feel that you've hit something.....

QFT!I really cant w8 for this game but for each vid they release i get more and more scared. The animations are a joke! This game is coming out 3 years after wow and thats the animations that is included?? We are hyping this game like more than ever and if that is the fast action PvP we get with those animations than i think lots of ppl will be dissapointed.
Lot of ppl, including me, says "its only beta", but Q2 is coming up fast and we are yet too se something that will convince us about the animations and fast action,.
I love exploring worlds in MMO's so I guess I'll have to pick this one up eventually. Shaping up ok I guess. Atmosphere is more important than gfx so I might just manage to look beyond the cartoons.
