A Sad Ending To A Great Game =(

I started playing Sword of new world a month ago and i was extremely pleased with gameplay, grphics and no lag.
But now the new patch has been uploaded and now ITS CRAP!
First of all before the update the game had a auto attack system (like bots) which allowed you to survive the mass amount of monsters in areas, it also allowed u to train afk overnight.But now its gone =(, that means u die ALOT now, the Scout Class (Healer) is useless now because they cant auto heal.So its almost impossible to heal all 3 of characters while Grinding
Because of this new patch Hundreds of people have left and so they should, unless u want to play a game which has great graphics but terrible game play, then go ahead.
This is just a warning to all new playerst hat this game has now officially been ruined by stupid koreans that dont know how to make games.

While I agree the game is utter crap, you should avoid it due to k2 not the changes.
You can still AFK, you just cant get nocked down, stunned, etc. Any form of that will basically make your toon sit there.
So...afking can still go on, just have to be a bit more picky where you afk at.

I hope I'm not the only person who is astounded!

Have you played SOTNW? Its very similar to chewing glass. There was a poll last summer that asked if they removed the AFK feature would you quit. Out of 500 some off votes 80% said yes.That says something about your game when people will quit when they actually have to play it.

LOL.. ok, fair enough. I have actually tried it but one grind game is enough for me.
And the "chewing glass" comment only "sealed the deal". Best comment I will read this week I imagine!

This game is still a lot of fun, they made the 200%XP permanent. There are a TON of new things to do. I haven't had so much fun in a LONG time.
As for Pryostasis, everyone knows he got all butthurt because he was banned from the forums (probably from the game because it seemed like he deserved it).

It's rare one person can be so wrong.This game is still a lot of fun, they made the 200%XP permanent. There are a TON of new things to do. I haven't had so much fun in a LONG time.
As for Pryostasis, everyone knows he got all butthurt because he was banned from the forums (probably from the game because it seemed like he deserved it).

I was banned for the forums, for pointing out K2's lies. Simply check my history here on SOTNW forums and you can easily see my points were valid.
K2 does nothing about botting.
K2 GM and Head GM lied about removing a botter.
K2 took the game from Pay 2 play to free 2 play RIGHT after the first month subscription. I.E. took the money and ran.
K2 had 0 communication about their p2p change.
K2 had 0 communication about their up coming patches
K2 had a mod who openly flirted with people and made a few off color sexual comments, she was then fired.
K2 Reduced the channels on the game with 0 notice.
K2 let the game ride for over six months with out a single bug fix.
K2 had a cash shop that as of november first was 2x the cost of the singapore version.
Neume said that ALL versions would get nerfed UPCS. A Month later we find out only SOTNW would get them. We were told they would fix it "soon" in august. The fix finally came through in JANUARY.
K2 does NOT ban botters on the first offense. First offense is 24 hour ban, then 72 hour ban, then perma ban. This means you can bot to damn near 100 and not get nailed.
All of the above are FACTS that I have shown and proven. All of the above are major reasons why NOT to play the game. If you wish to say Im "Butthurt" go right ahead. The facts speak for themselves.
And, my game account is still usable... not sure where you got the whole Im banned thing.

Zech, the game was designed to afk level... basicly botting with out looting.

I think the main complaint is that you have to kill several thousand monsters to level relatively early on. Now thaty you have to sit there and pay attention to when you kill several thousand monsters in a similiar fashion just makes it worse. The change would be good if they fixed the insane grind.
I just started playing the game last sunday. The AFK grind was cool. With the new patch you can still AFK grind but now you have to check on your toons to make sure they are still fighting.
My Scout still heals as long as they are in the defend position, in fact my toons are leveling right now and I am at work.
Yes I know the AFK grind is not as easy as it was pre patch but it it still possiable to afk grind, just need to pay more attention to were you setup.

I did read the forst post by the OP, and i begun to wonder. Nothing is known to me regarding this game.
1# There was a auto aim system, as a a bot??? What the hell does that mean? Thats not a good word to use in a MMO.
2# You cant AFK level anymore?? But......who would wanna NOT-play a game? Thats not either a good sentence for a game.
So you mean the new patch have forced you to actually play the game? I must have gotten this wrong.
The first North American version had it so you'd disconnect if you were afk for something like 5-10 minutes. They had to remove that, because no one would play it.
That's just the kind of game it is.
So... we shouldn't play this game now, because the game won't play itself.

But what is the purpose if you have a auto aim bot and AFK grinding? What if the players did try some MMO where you have to play?
What do you pay for? Ohh, its maybe f2p. Then it maybe makes sense!
As far as i'm concerned most games don't actually require you to play anyway, not to think. As soon as you find a formula to levelling whether its complex or straight forward it becomes meaningless, grindings always been this way. The thing i liked about this game was that you didn't have to sit at your computer until the wee hours of the morning to get to higher levels. But if you wanted to level up more quickly then you could do that at the keyboard, or you could pvp or lobby hunt with a squad.
The reason taking away auto defend makes such a difference is that the game is flawed without it. Like someone else said it was made from the start with auto defend in mind. An example of how the game is now flawed:
I have an elementalist in my team, he has to walk everywhere, other characters run, the other two characters in my team run to a group of mobs now i have to press defend in order to get them to attack, i press defend, my elementalist has to stop walking which means he can't get to the group of mobs, my two other characters are left to take on the group and i have to go back to my elementalist single target him and get him to the battle. By the time i fiddle around getting him there either the mobs are dead or my characters are dead. The only way around this is to constantly switch stances which is too much of a pain in the neck for me to bother. Or to stay in one place the entire levelling time.
Now people who've never played this game why are you commenting on a change in a game that you've never played.
Meh I'll still play it, people piss and moan about things like this too much now. I just find it funny on how the extent some people go to to try and make people not try out a game for themselves.

While you're no doubt correct on those things, I think you're being somewhat too harsh and a bit conspiracy minded.
K2 pretty clearly botched the launch of the game (like the horrible, horrible translation), had too few subscribers to keep it going, and had to go free to play. I'm sure they didn't want to.
And to stuff like fixing bugs and bots, clearly K2 doesn't have a lot of manpower. They really can't do anything to the game themselves, they have to get the company that makes the original to make the changes for them. And because they used an altered version of the game (with the auto defend lock), they couldn't use the patched versions from other regions.
I think finally they gave up and simply went in line with the other regions (and have only half implemented that).
So I guess my point is, K2's problems is mostly a lack of competence (and resources) than anything else, rather than something sinister.

Quite like me. I really loved the fancy look, many western MMOs looks so unbelievable boring, but all in all it just doesnt sound interesting enough.
