So how many MMOs do you plan on buying this year?

Deathstrike2Deathstrike2 Member UncommonPosts: 1,777

I'm definitely buying TCoS, AoC, WAR, and probably AION.  I'll end up playing only one, but I can't help it.  When a new MMO comes out, I almost always end up buying it and trying it out for at least a month.  My shelves have MMO boxes everywhere.  I guess I'm a collector.

It's likely that I will buy WAR but that's about it unless some other game with a free demo astounds me, which isn't that likely.

    tcos,war,aoc,aion :) hehe...maybe jumpgate aswell....not sure... :)

Probably just one (1) which is Warhammer Online.. I'd probably buy the collector's edition if there's good stuff in it...  I simply don't have the time to play too many mmos anymore .

    Most likely 1, Fallen Earth.

However due to Funcom being norwegian, I might buy Age of Conan to support them instead of waiting for cheap trials

At least 2 for sure (AOC, WAR), and if they don't pan out I'll give AION and CoS a try if the reviews are reasonable.

Who the hell are you, and why should I care?
Congrats! You are a victim of Trollstar!

I'm a fantasy nut  (yes I know many people are sick of them)

    probably 4

    AOC, WAR, Aion, Spellborn

but I dont expect to subscribe to any of them

-- but maybe one of them will surprise me

I will buy Warhammer when it releases. I will try Age of Conan after it releases, if it gets good reviews. If it gets reviews that are lukewarm, something like LOTRO, then I will just wait for WAR.

I forgot Jumpgate Evolution, I'm liking the look of it.

I don't know about you guys....but I kind of lost a lot of interest in mmos recently. It just seems few games deliver after its initial hype release. I think the next and last mmo I will buy for a while will be AoC.

  • starbeadstarbead Member Posts: 43

Somewhere between zero and two.  If early word on AoC is bad, I'll pass on it and see how WAR pans out.  If both seem Vanguardish at launch, I guess I won't be buying any.  WoW has a horrible endgame strategy, but they make leveling more fun than any other game out there, so WotLK is probably on my list.

If Conan rocks, I'll hold off for the full reviews of WAR before deciding whether to give it a try.

    1? AoC.

I am going to get WAR, AoC (maybe) and I am for sure getting DARKFALL.

    Sooner or Later

I'm looking at Aion, Star Gate Worlds, and  TCoS. If W.E.L.L. Online, Darkfall, and Earthrise come ouit this year I'll be looking at them too!

I am also a MMO collector, but I tend to buy all the Collectors Edition packages that include free subscription periords for me to play through and keep only those that I enjoyed! If I don't like my stay, I usually give the box away and save my shelf space for future titles.

Are you stupid? Do you think i'm gonna waste my life for real life?image

None i will wait for the trials to see what one i want instead of wasting money on all of them.

  • baffbaff Member Posts: 9,457

    No plans so far.

I hear all the usual pre-release fantasies about this game and that game.

The next MMO on my radar as intresting looing is Huxley.

There are a couple of fantasy titles due out this year that look like they will be generic chod. Maybe I'll be bored enough to give them a whirl. I doubt it.

I'll probably spend a month on the latest WoW expansion, I guess.

My top 3 choices: (most likely i'm sticking to 1 title for the significant part of the year)

    1. Warhammer Online

    2. Aion: The Tower of Eternity

    3. Hello Kitty Online Adventures

  • TargrimTargrim Member Posts: 51

    Warhammer for sure

    Possibly AoC

  • ValaraukoGRValaraukoGR Member Posts: 78

I'll wait for reviews on all and only get a new mmo if something is the earth shattering second coming of mmo game play.  This is because I currently play SWG, EQ, EQ2, POTBS, Vanguard, LOTRO, and WOW.  It's fun to be casual on a variety of games if the monthly prices don't bother you.  This way you burn out of one, go to another, and so on, when you have the time.  I guess I have MMO a.d.d. !!! lol

I'm tentative on AoC, but will most likely get it and Warhammer this year.
