Where was your Jedi trainer?

SuvrocSuvroc Member Posts: 2,383

Mine was the Brawler trainer outside the Bestine Starport.

I remember running in and out of Bestine as fast as I could in case I was being followed by a BH. Paranoia was never so fun :)

So where was your trainer?

My trainers were all in my guild's city, outside of city hall.

We had the mission terminals there too so it was kind of a meeting place for folks in town to get together and collect hide, meat, etc for the crafters or just grind xp.

If I remember corretly you couldn't have a Jedi trainer in a player city. It had to be one of the pre-existing ones in a non-player city.

  • Mine was the medic trainer outside the Bestine starport entrance.  Medic was the first profession I ever mastered, so I wonder if that had anything to do with it...

That's correct. The pre-CU jedi trainers were random trainers from other professions, suppoesedly secret force trainers. My trainer was a medic trainer in the city of Keren on Naboo.

I had 2 Jedi (one pre-9, one village unlocked), and oddly enough both had the same trainer- the eintertainer trainer in the dance hall of Doaba on Corellia. They however had different shrine locations, one just north of the Deathwatch Bunker on Endor and the other not far from the Emperor's Retreat on Naboo.

Mine was in the small city right next to Jabba's palace...can't remember the name. It sucked too because there were npcs all around the trainer that would aggro. I dont remember what kind of trainer it was...it has been 4 years now this month since I unlocked Jedi (Feb 2004).

Mine was a marksman trainer in Mos Espa, in one of the profession halls.

CH, Jedi, Commando, Smuggler, BH, Scout, Doctor, Chef, BE...yeah, lots of SWG time invested.

Actually, the city closest to Jabba's Palace was Wayfar. During Pre-CU there was no shuttle port there, so Anchohead might have been the closest NPC city with a shuttle to there. On Chimaera we had a few cities as close to Jabba's Palace as possible, so it was never an issue to get there and to Wayfar.

As I remember it, Wayfar had some interesting little side quests in it too. I can't remember exactly who gave the quest or what the reward was, but I remember it was one of the longer quests in the whole game. I think it actually took me a day or two to finish, just due to the travel times during pre-CU.

That's one of the things I really miss about SW:G, you really never knew what you would find out in the middle of no where. *Makes note to MMO design notes to add this feature too

    Marksmen trainer in Espa.

There was a time in PRE-CU where any trainer placed by a player would work as a jedi trainer. So you could go to any player city and visit any trainer to train Jedi skills. You could do that for a few months if I remember right.

Medic or Doc trainer in Cnet of all places, was an absolute rush everytime I had to go there, fun times.

Mine was a Marksman trainer practically hidden away behind some harvies or storage tanks or something in Tyrena.   I have never talked to anyone who had that trainer or even really knew he was there.

Ahh.... Brawler trainer in Mos Espa...

Funny, I think I spent most of my time around Espa with my main. Wonder if that was some kind of connection.

mine was in a training hall building smack in the middle of Bestine. A real pain considering I was a rebel. I was the 2nd or 3rd jedi to unlock on eclipse server. Back then, your main didnt become a jedi but rather unlocked a free slot that was your jedi.

I made a toon jedi just so I could show off. Then I deleted him a few times. We didnt really know how visibility worked back then and the devs wouldnt tell either.

Each time though my trainer was always the same one in Bestine.

Was anyone there for when the first Jedi unlocked and that message was sent out by Vader I think throughout the server telling everyone to kill them or something. My memory isn't so good lol but I remember a message like that being sent out to everyone.
