- Which game does have a bigger map / world?
- Which game have more armors, weapons, kind of tiers?
- Which game has more reality?
- Which of this two games has the biggest cities?
- Does both games have sieges? like in Lineage II?
- What are the system requirements of the games?
- Are they both Directx10?
And now i'm hoping on some answers? and votes! If i ned to know something else, i add it here.

Max Level of both games?
WAR's game is 'tier' based but essentially the max level is 40 and if follows DAoC it probably won't ever change they'll just give you otherways to progress.
Age of Conan is lvl 80
Does both games have raids?
AoC has a high level 24 man Tiered raiding system. You have to complete so many from each Tier or all of them depending on the Tier in order to get access to the next Tier.
WAR if you mean the standard PvE 24+ man raids ... No. They have a Public Quest system thats Open World and anyone can come and go as they please. You gain points for working on the PQ even if you don't finish and you can finish & repeat as much as you want. It also has a City Siege at Tier 4 which is made up of RvR (a type of PvP) and PvE. Anyone that can get there when a faction earns the rights to make an attempt on the enemy's capitol can go. No group or guild required for either.
Is the world engine like WoW or like GW (that you can only meet each other in towns)?
Both are open world, though AoC has instancing for player built cities, some other PvE activites (besides raids), and some of its PvP.
Which one has Better PVP?
This is subjective here because it really comes down to what sort of PvP system your looking for.
If your looking for a more RvR type experience where you and your faction can easily group and go fight the other side WAR has the better system. Also in WAR PvE & PvP share the same level progression so essentially you can never PvE and still reach lvl 40 through just the RvR. (you get xp for killing players & random loot (not from the actual player) ).
If your looking for more of a 1vs1 scenario along with wars between guilds then AoC is the system you want. AoC has two progression types. PvP levels & Progression and then PvE. You don't have to participate in either just like WAR but AoC has a seperate PvP leveling system.
Which one do you think that would be played the most?
Again subjective but you asked for opinions personally I dont plan on playing AoC its a bit to guild needy for my tastes and I'm not into PvE raiding or hardcore PvP. So for me it'll probably be WAR.
What would be the monthly costs of both games?
No one knows neither has released this information. Most likely it'll be the standard going price at the minimum
Does both games have raids? You already asked this one
Which game does have a bigger map / world?
Again no one knows a direct size correlation both are still in closed beta and I'm willing to bet most AoC & WAR testers haven't played both games. My Opinion is that WAR is probably bigger since its almost all Open World other than Scenario PvP instances & Boss Fights. AoC has alot of instances for alot of different activites, nothing wrong with that considering the type of design they have its most likely needed.
Both games have their merits. They're going in completely different directions with their core audiences. One is more 1vs1 / Guild based / Hardcore (AoC) and one is more Realm vs Realm / I can do what I want without a huge group based / casual friendly (you dont have to be a power gamer to enjoy the high life for once!). Two very different things and two very different audiences. Thats not to say that some audience members aren't attracted to both, because I'm sure some of us are.
I really hope that WAR & AoC do well. Both audience groups have been in need of a game since the days of Dark ages of Camelot & Everquest 1.
btw both games are under NDA so...a wealth of deeper information from beta testers is not available yet to anyone.
You really should look into the podcasts & wealth of information from both games websites.

I'll play whatever is released first, that simple.
AoC has a release of 5/20, if it's out before WAR, AoC gets my money, if WAR is first, they get my money. Both intrigue me, both are going to be good games. I am on the fence as to which way to go, so I am going with whatever comes out first. As of today, AoC is first.

By all means, do what you want to do. I just think that it defies logic and reasoning by not even giving something a chance based solely on when it is available to you. For instance, I'm not going to buy a Geforce 8000 series card right now because it is readily available. I'm going to wait a month for the Geforce 9000 series cards to be released because they are going to be faster GPU's. Either that or I will get a couple 8800's when they drop further in price.
Well, I too plan on playing whichever one first gets released. If I'm having the time of my life then I'll probably hold off trying another one, no hurry really, I can wait until I've grown tired of my first choice (always happens eventually to me) and move on to the next.
Now sure, if I try AOC and it doesn't really grab me, (or outright stinks), then sure, shut it down before the first month billing comes and move on. (assuming something else is out there.)
Who the hell are you, and why should I care?
Congrats! You are a victim of Trollstar!
If I would buy one of these games, I would buy WAR
But I don't think I gonna play one of them

waiting for ... nothing..

I r iz to play both cuz i haz job! Seriously though, online games are some of the cheapest form of entertainment available these days. If both games are good, play both! If you can't afford both, well ... GET A JOB! You shouldn't be playing games all day, anyway.

Not in a flaming way but these type of posts shouldn't be asked as either way it's down to personally prefs... Just do a little reasearch instead of asking for other players prefs (which all the answers have been given for you now but like I said both games have been very open with details all it takes is a lite reading), if you like the idea then play it, if you wont your hand held all the time keep to what your currently playing TBH stick to what you know, it's easier then trusting someone's opinion that could be different to yours.
Personally speaking theres no release on WAR as of yet and AoC is ment to be May, so I'll be picking up AoC first but I do indend on playing WAR weather I double sub or not is dependent on both games
Bring on the WARRRRGGHH!
I am doing the same. I don't think I will have time to double sub, so I will make a decision ater playing both. Now if I happen to get into the WAR beta, I might just continue to play that until WAR is released.
I can simply say that "there is a warhammer beta, and I am in it." I will continue to try and help the beta as much as possible before it goes live and I start my final toons. On a side note War is the primary reason I cancelled my WoW account.
I like the combat system and look of AoC more, but if it turns out to be another bloody PvE-grinding, item-orientated raid-fest I'm off! I've done WoW and now I totally hate it!
So if AoC lets me down, screw the innovations and a interface that looks very promising, it's WAR all the way for me. I love PvP so even though I doubt it will be a huge leap in terms of game format, I think the PvP enjoyment will crush the cack offered by WoW.

AoC vs WAR posts make Baby Jesus cry.
If you have specific questions about WAR, great this is place to ask them. If you have genuine questions about AoC, then you might want to ask them on the AoC Forums. Threads like this usually just start flames.
And the opinions you get from either the WAR forums or the AoC Forums are going to be biased (big surprise!). ESPECIALLY if you are asking opinions about another game.
What you need to do is do your own research on the two games and make up your own mind. Questions like Which PvP is better are useless because what YOU like in PvP might not be what other people like.
If you're just interested in being told what to buy and following other people's opinions, then just flip a coin, you'll get the same result.
But I'm having a hard time with your conclusion.
He made baby Jesus cry?! That ......how ....how uncool poor baby Jesus must do alot of crying then lately

I've no interest in AoC, I can't wait for WAR. The depth of RvR and PvE looks absolutely sick, tons of interesting classes, leveling and gear from PvP and PvE. Public quests sound awesome.

As for now, I'm going for WAR.
I'm for too long and too much into Warhammer Lore (way over 15 years in it) and I just can't wait to experience the online RPG.
To be able to finally be a Chaos Warrior (beside having experienced it through the core book of "Realm of Chaos - Slaves to Darkness" - or even any other class not avaialble in any other Pen & Papper core books) is almost a little boy's dream coming true - in a RPG gamer way.
By the way pitty you can't choose your own God (Khorne mainly...) oh well... nothing's perfect.
Also, I enjoyed the insightful response Elvenangel gave to the OP, nice one !
Cheeers!
Not to mention 25 years of lore and a world that feels alive
Sorry for double posting...
DuraheLL, while it is true that Games Workshop has just made 25 years and so it means 25 years of Lore ! Congratulations to them !!! It also means a lot of my money was spent on it!
The lore of Conan is 75 years old - just google Robert E. Howard.
Cheers!
Where World of Warcraft is "The Beatles"
Warhammer Onlne:Age of Reckoning is "Led Zepplin"
Age of Conan is "The Bangles"
I have been flip-flopping enough between these two games, and a couple months ago I had made my final decision (or what I thought was final) to go for AoC. Then you have to go and post this short, simple, yet very appealing summary of WAR's features. Looks like it's back to the drawing board for me.

Hmm.. I'm not sure.. the thing that they can cut your head off.. I would say:
Age of Conan is "Deep Purple"
Ok, ok, I know you probably meant about the gameplay not the Mature rating.
Anyway, I'm just expanding the joke - lol
Well I didn't come here to compare anyway

I didn't say or meant that you were here to compare.
Placing a poll on the warhammer boards is going to get you a biased result, by the way.
Honestly, I do not know which will be better. No one does until both games are fully released, and we can speculate a lot. My current choice at the moment is AoC, simply because I like the gritty feel world, the combat system, the art style, and the mature world itself. As far as WAR goes, none of the classes really interest me and the races though true to the warhammer universe (which I am a huge fan of) bore me from their descriptions. Hopefully I will get a chance to play hands on eventually and make a final judgement. I will of course still play WAR, I am hardly a fanboi of anything, if it is good I will play it.
If AoC is a good game, I will simply try WAR when it comes out and stick which the one I like the best, if AoC flops, I will try WAR, if WAR flops, I will move on to spellborn or Aion.
PvP
PvP wise, both have incredible merits. I however think AoC puts more meaning into pvp while WAR waters it down and makes it "normal". For example, war is focused primarily on pvp and in fact you can level to cap simply doing it. However, this turns pvp into a PvE where mobs are simply players. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but some people may not like that. Death is not as meaningful, ect, ect. PvP focused games to me are a lot like fighters. Fighters are fun, but after a while they get redundant and I have to take a break and play something else for a bit because while they offer a lot of replay value they lack depth. PvP to me is like a fighter, after a while I will get bored and need to do something else. Level, craft, do some dungeon runs, social minigames, work on skills, challenges, feats, acomplishments, anything else. If I pvp all the time I would get bored fast, and that has been the case with a lot of pvp focused games I have played.
in AoC, there is no "saftey" side you can crawl to. Everyone can potentialyl be an enemy, much like real life. So reputations, allegiences, and trust all play a role in daily activities and who you attack. For example, a well known ganker who tries to kill anyone he comes across will have quite a hard time getting a group and will likely be attacked on site by a lot of other players. So it forms a realistic situation, to a degree. And for general no strings attached pvp, you have the border lands whose purpose lay in being pvp focused regions.
Add to that the unique combat system that will hopefully not flop, ownable keeps and siege warfare, and it seems to me AoC has a strong chance to win in the PvP duel, though ultimately they are striking at different goals. Despite what many advocates say, so far WAR's pvp simply seems a highly polished and slightly modified version of WoW's pvp, which again is nothing to be ashamed about.
PvE
I do not think WAR is strongly focusing on PvE, i have not heard too much about it and the few videos I saw were....dull, at best with pvp videos capturing more of the flare of the game then anything else.
A lot of people hate PvE for whatever reason, and if that is the case WAR is likely your best bet since even if you focus on pvp you will have to endure some PvE in AoC. AoC's PvE system seems really well done though, with their claims of advanced enemy AI, the dynamic shielding system, and ect adding flair to it.
Raid wise, AoC has 24 man raids if I recall correctly, and I have not heard much about WAR's PvE, let alone raiding but again WAR is focusing on pvp mostly.
Land mass sizes, I would say AoC's world to be quite larger from information about both worlds, but ultimately we can not know until square miles for either are released or the games release. Also, lot of people confuse regioning with instancing/zoning, which causes well... confusion. Zoning is like FFXI, where each small area is seperated by a zone line that involves loading. Regioning is like WoW, where each continent and outland require loading but aside from that you will only ever load will entering instances.
AoC's world is split into three regions and is quite large. A lot of areas within these massive regions also contain instanced single player and group camps and dungeons much like wow (zones that lead you into instance areas like a cave entrance), making the world that much larger. The areas where player cities can be built are also instances to allow for as much player cities as possible, though battle keeps must be fought over and remain uninstanced.
WAR does have a bit of instancing, but most of the world is open ended.
Overall, I personally think AoC is offering more. Most of the complaints I hear are usually born from lack of information, for example AoC being "guild focused" and that turning players off. AoC offers a robust guild system for guilds, but is not focused on it completly. You can get payed to join siege battles even if you are in a small guild or no guild at all via the mercenary system, you can obviously pvp and pve alone, and the game is soloable to cap though they have stated it might be slightly difficult at higher levels.
You can play and enjoy AoC and WAR both without ever touching a guild, though AoC does offer a robust guild system and guild content should you chose to join one. Guilds are common anyways and the guidless players you find these days are far and few, as endgame in almost every MMO still requires guilds and pvp guilds are the ones that usually dominate pvp.
If you like RvR pvp, pvp over Pve or just flat out hate PvE, are a strongly casual player, or like to get in and do things fast, WAR is a good choice.
If you like PvE or both PvE and PvP, detailed and realistic art style, combat realisim (mounted combat, blood, unique combat system), like drawn out character development, and like guild focused events, go AoC.
Either way, I suggest you at least try both if you can afford it, because you never know.
1. 80 for AoC i think and 40 or 50 for WAR (to be honest i havent even bothered to look these up as i dont care much)
2. AoC has dungeons i am not sure about raids. they have pvp raids. sieges on player (and some npc) controlled cities. WAR is pvp focussed and the closest thing to raids would be pvp stuff (grab a horde of greenskin buddies and rush a village)
3. both are server style games.
4. depends on what you like. if you like sieges and meaningfull pvp then maybe AoC is for you (its also quite brutal). WAR is a pretty standardized pvp game. it is 80% pvp and if good fun for those who dont wanna work for months and months to get something done (the tier zones are a great idea)
5. WAR. i feel AoC is a much deeper game but MMO players are so small minded they tend to go for the same old crap over and over (which both games are its just WAR is much more so than AoC)
6. same price as the other MMO's. i dont know what it is as i live in Australia and my costs change with the exchange rate (aside from WoW which i pay $40 for 2 months of play)
7. AoC. easily has a bigger world.
just to ad i will play both and i most likely will like/love both.
