You people do realize that if you are going to wait over a year to buy the 360 version of the game, that the top pc hardware on the shelves today will be a fraction of the cost by that time.  The xbox 360 cannot come even remotely close to the graphical capabilities of pc's today.

Oblivion on the 360 was definitly not the superior version.  It had lots of pop in and graphical lag, not to mention that the visuals themselves were downgraded by a lot.  Oblivion on the pc also has a very strong mod community to this day.  It's possible to completely transform the game, add to it, or do what have you.

The only thing that consoles had going for them in the past was their relatively more stable games, and cheaper cost.  Both of those things have changed.  Buggy games get released on consoles now due to downloading capabilities, and their cost has risen drastically with each generation.

PC games have always been deeper and more complex than console games, and consoles are the sole reason that the majority of the population views gaming as a childrens passtime.  Keep your mario and your pokemon, I've got baldurs gate, the witcher and crysis.  And I'll be playing AoC a year before you.

Not at all...So much more can be done with the PC, and true PC gamers always have an up to date system, the system we use is as much a hobby as the games we play. Simply going to the store and picking up a pre-made computer or Xbox 360 is not what PC Gamers call fun..

I have an Xbox 360 and it is fun for arcade stuff but for FPS and MMO or even good Strategy games the PC is much better...

That is indeed the kicker. Now that consoles can connect to the internet, console game designers are pushing out games that have not been as thoroughly tested as they had been in the past. With increasing complexity comes increasing development time that makes publishers nervous to kick out games as quickly as possible. We all know this is true because it happens all the time with PC games.

Console games will probably never go away though, not as long as there is a market for them.

I agree that you may enjoy that, and it's perfectly ok, if i had more money maybe i would find that fun too.

I would say though that 95% of all americans would rather have a product that worked, was fun, and was very inexpesive.

The term "true pc gamers" is fine but i'm sure it's not as big as you think. With out ppl playing mmo's to just have fun and not go hardcore the games companies would rarely ever stay intact.

I do call it fun going to the store and getting something then going and playing it. Most ppl would rather play the game, not spend money on a system to play it.

I have no idea why ppl say console players are more immature. It's probably just cause there like 3 times as many console player so you get more. Plus, MMO are not all that competitive; it is to an extend but no where near a fps like Halo, or a sports game. MMO are about working together a lot of the time. Competitiveness makes ppl much more angry.
