Which of this two games you going to get... or just feel like you want it more than the other one?

AoC = Pull some heads.

AION = You can Fly and fight in Air.

I know people like to open new threads instead of bumping, but I still remember this one so why not.

I'm going to say AoC for me. Aion has never appealed to me so AoC gets the vote.

although the in air fighting does seem interesting, i assume its not going to live up to expectations. Its just going to be awkward and horrible, you can count on it.

Based on the screenshots, I have to say that Aion has the best looking character models I've ever seen in an MMO.  Plus, the flying looks as good if not better that what CoH has (with wings).  I'm really impressed with this one, but in all honesty, I plan on buying and trying every new MMO this year.  There has to be something better than the choices we have now.

I wonder how more of these threads will we have to suffer through?

    conan for sure.

    both hehe :)

I stand fairly neutral towards both of the games. I've not been checking out the updates and news on either of the games for quite some time now so I can't really state I can pick one of them. I suppose I'll wait and see what people think about the games before I buy them.

right now with current news I'd probably go for aion.

I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

From what I've seen of Aion so far, it looks like a pretty-fied version of Lineage2...more of the same Asian-style graphics that are way overdone in the MMO genre.

AOC, while the theme isn't anything new, the depth of the game will be its selling point.  Character/Class customization, Dungeons, PvP, Sieges, Player cities, etc.

I'll say AOC, because playNC games just always have something missing in them for me.  They lack appeal and depth and shallow in every aspect IMO

     Aion all the way

This game has had more work and $ put in it then anyother mmorpg

NCSOFT has pulled all there best devs from every game thay own to make AION happen

this game will be polished at launch

LoL will be the 1st polished mmorpg to ever launch as well

I will try Aion, no matter what.  Maybe I will like, maybe not.  I don't buy their PvPvE, but we will see.  I am pretty sure it is just another way to shaft PvE groupers.

I doubt I will play AoC or WAR unless they bring a PvE-grouping server.  Since they just plan on enforcing lame-o-gameplays on me...

More MMOs will give in totally to PvE grouping as time advance.  Having a PvE-grouping server adds a focus for different players, and require little work.  Heck, who knows, maybe Aion would offers such a server!

I am sorta leaning towards aion because they is way to much hype with Conan and I just dont know, i dont like the resourse gathering and crafting.

Take Lineage 2. Now imagine what the game would be like if it was the complete opposite of what it is now. Short grind instead of long grind, RvR instead of FFA pvp, WASD focus instead of Poing & click focus,  questing instead of mindless mob killing,  more sandbox elements such as crafting, recource gathering and player housing instead of just combat driven.

    There you go, that's Aion.

Sorry wanted to fix my post no it will not ask for sli lol What i was saying i know for a fact the game was made with malti core cpu in idea i know it will use malti core for a fact (probly will run on single core fine to a point )

I was saying you will need atleast the power of 2x 7600gts or better to beable to run the game when populated around 35 to 45 fps at med settings is a good guess

if you do not believe mw just get a copy of farcry and run it on high settings and see

Aion will take alot more power to run the farcry (the farcry engine uses alot more cpu power then unreal2 engine lol wich is what lineage2 runs on l2 is alot easier to run then Aion will be)

Sorry sloppy lol im sick need to crash GN

Honestly I dont think PvP is going to be that much of a problem in AoC, I mean every class has the ablity to "sneak". So you should be able to get away unless you are unlucky or the other guy is cheating. Plus I think its more of a skill game anyway. So just becuase someone has a few lvls on you doesn't mean your screwed. At least thats what it seems to me.

    l like Aoc more aion

  • gillvane1gillvane1 Member, Newbie CommonPosts: 1,503

The official AION website doesn't have much actual info about the game features. Just the usual hype stuff, like it's got awesome PvP and awesome PvE, and you can fly. Well, that could mean just about anything.

It LOOKS like an Asian grinder, so until I see differently, I'll assume it's just another Asian grinder, with pretty graphics.

I'm not real sure about the Combat mechanics in Conan. Either they will be fun, or kinda suck, and be better for console uses when that version comes out. I'll just have to wait and see.

AoC for me.  I am a fan of the books and the game is looking impressive so far.  Aion doesn't appeal to me and I have yet to like a NCsoft game.  I do wish the best for Aion just for thinking outside of the freaking box for a change.

I can already Fly in a korean style MMORPG, is called Air Rivals. And not-suck, that is strange for a korean-style mmo.  But AION? what can save AION from that korean gameplay that western don't fully approciate?

  • ClintTXClintTX Member Posts: 24

If you are 14/f/thailand you might like AION otherwise AoC.  If you want to play an asian mmo play lineage 2 until lineage 3 comes out.
