He sure does, especially now, since the games lead designer, lead programmer and an artist all got the boot. Lets hope it doesnt take him another 3 years to finish the game.

They were probably stealing coffee, from coffee machine......BAD DEVELOPERS!!!
OK, where to start. I've done a lot of reading on the game and know quit a bit. Lets start with housing.
Housing is amazing. Everyone gets their own pocket universe more or less. In game its a floating island above the central city. Note that the islands you see floating are just representation, not the actual houses. Anyway, everyone STARTS with this island with basic amenities. You can buy new things by adventuring or by having a job.
A job is something that every character has. Not sure on the specifics yet, but you get payed so much a week for your downtime...your character at work instead of adventuring.
Each area that you can adventure in is a seperate dimension. You warp in and out using special abilities that all PCs have. You can warp from these adventures back to the hub city at any time or to your friends location at any time.
As far as changing specialty, you give up NOTHING. How it works is that you have 15 slots per character. Each slot is a point in your characters progress that you decide on. So, if you just leveled, you can save your character and try out different leveling options. If it isn't what you like, load the character and try something else. You dont have to give up one level type for another.
Classes are also very interesting. Their really aren't any. Their are 3 attack types; Physical, Mental, and Spiritual. Physical is self explanatory, swords and axes, etc. Mental is your general magic like fireballs and stuff. Spiritual is based in music, using instruments for special effects and attacks. Depending on the skill level with your trained weapons, you can get special attacks. None of the specials have really been talked about yet.
Hope that helps!

Well actually in this case it was aimed at information about the game that was released, I am pritty sure we all hope that NCSoft will not screw up as bad as they did on L2.
As far as L2 sucking, that was developed by NCS Korea which has nothing to do with NCS America except they publish eachothers games, so totally different dev team on TR.
Well I know that NC US is responsable for providing Tech Support for L2 in US. And word "SUCK" cant even begin to describe the quility of their service.

That's essentially what people forget about L2: it is a game made for Korean gamers. As such, it's not going to be fun for most American/Canadian gamers because -- let's face it -- the Korean gaming dynamic is far different.
And I think NCSoft's best-kept secret is that it runs City of Heroes (along with Cryptic, who probably had something to do with it). And speaking from experience with that game, I would have to say that any complaints you hear from how it's run are from the usual griefers who aren't happy with anything.

I have played CoH, however the game play seemed too liner for me, you gain lvls to fight high level monsters, and when you reach that top cap there is nothing to do, no monsters to really raid (with a good purpose), no pvp battles to fight. I think any game it is a priority to have a lot of High Level Game content, like EQ despite what people might say, they had a lot of things to do at high levels, UO same thing even after you are 7x GM there were still a lot of things to do, however more recent games tend to forget that high level content has to be there or else all that leveling becomes pointless. I think the major problem with L2 is that once you hit that level 75, there is nothing to do, you can chill at arena but that gets boring fast, there is 1 big monster to raid, and to raid it you need better part of the server.
To bind it all to the topic, I HOPE that TR will have something for us to do once we get to those high lvls. I dont mind the grind but I also think it has to be fun and not monocorsive in its nature.
I havnt read much about this game, but from the sounds of it, this game might actually be fun. I like futuristic stuff like phantasy star online, but it lacked content.
This floating Island business sounds neat to. I like collecting things for houses and stuff as long as there are a lot of different things to collect.
Hopefully the character models are cool and don't look like they are from star trek or something. Also, I hope the weapons are good. I want to weild a massive 2 handed sword in one of these games for once without it sucking because they are useless or look crappy. In FFAXI, the 2-handed sword users sucked cause they always missed... in L2 the 2-handed sword users sucked cuase the dmg was to slow, and in every other MMORPG I have played, there hasnt been gigantic 2-handed swords .
CoH isn't a game for XP grinding/power levelling (which is boring, anyway. Who cares if you make level 50 in a week? I certainly don't). It is, however, a refreshing change for people who want more substance from their missions than clearing out rat lairs and an avatar that actually looks the way they want rather than a clone with the same armour everyone else has.
Moreover, PvP will be featured in the City of Villains expansion, so there's going to be something to do for the higher level characters soon.
What substance from their missions killing the same mobs over and over and over again just like any other game offers. If lvling is too easy your characters dont worth anything because no real time were invested into them. As for expansion, we will see what it will have to offer, they said there will be PvP, however there were no details released on it. CoH is popular because it is easy, but that notion cant keep you going forever, either they will eventully improve it or EQ2 and WoW will steal people away.
CoH is contrary to popular belief a well....popular game. lol. I think it is a love hate game though and has very little in between. I personally am not a fan for it but it is still a good release. I believe Richard Garriot worked on CoH also.
So much for facts about TR. :P There was an interview with R.G. in which he said you will be able to have privately instanced mission worlds leading up to a "boss" at the end of them to bring back some of the single player game feel. These worlds you can enter alone or with friends.

Hey Chiram, not too bad. Sorry I was out of loop lately a lot of stuff happened....in any case it is going good. I hope to bring it live to community end of this week.

Cryptic had started design on CoH way before NCSoft was a thought in North American gamers minds. I really don't remember who was going to publish CoH prior to NCSofts arrival. They picked up Destination Games/Garriott, Cryptic/CoH and then Arena Net/Guild Wars (same year as Cryptic). That's about when NCSoft became big. All in all, Cryptic had ALOT to do with CoH
Also, someone said Garriott had something to do with CoH. No, he didn't. Hes been working on TR since he signed with NCSoft. The features in TR that stand out to me: Teleporting anywhere at any point. No waiting 20 minutes on a boat/horse. Also, voice chat. This is going to be a big point of grief, but I think in the end it'll do alot of good. It's so much easier to coordinate a group of people when you're able to verbally talk to them. Plus, you won't die trying to type something in :P

Its the first game from NCSoft thats not going to suck on release.
Richard Garriot is gonig to kick ass with it.
The word 'fact' is often blurred on the web to mean "whatever the hell you want to say about something."

Game looks very nice. To many of these older type MMORPG, we need more futuristic ones.
