Is that a wooden 18 wheeler in shot #13??
P.S. - PVP can eat my chonch!
P.S. PvP owns you.
The grape fighting the smurf are the worst since the clipping butt crack a few weeks back. They are floating in the air, the lighting is horrid, and those smurf model is rather uninteresting with a bland texture. (much like the rest of the game)
Oh well, can't wait until the release this beast, just so we can stop over analyzing the screen shots.

Achievers realise that killers as a concept are necessary in order to make achievement meaningful and worthwhile (there being no way to "lose" the game if any fool can "win" just by plodding slowly unchallenged). -bartle

I was going to say they were "floating" too but then I realized that they may both be lifting their feet while they swing or stepping into each other
That whitish armor the dark elf is wearing looks like grandma's old wedding dress, pulled out of the attic after rotting for half a decade.

Yeah looks like they downgraded the game, maybe to allow a broader spectrum of computers able to run it. Maybe this was caused by all the rumors on the EQ2 site that the game would run on a fairly low end system that forced them to make that happen. Dunno, still looks good.
Ooh, yay! I have been wanting to see more screenshots of my beloved Dark Elves, and there some are! Wow, I was not sure about how they looked before, but I love them even more now. I especially like the differences in height, the facial expressions and extremely detailed and very haughty and the armor.. looks fascinating.
And the world looks better, too! More like the kind of world I would want to explore, bleak and miserable, not so sunny and happy. A world that has and will seen many battles!
Yay for the dark elves!

Another set of screens that show the good and bad of this game so far.
As people have mentioned, we have floating characters without any obvious use of levitation! We also have the out of proportion character of the dark elf female (top half of a smaller character grafted onto the bottom half of a skighly larger creature) and the over made up dolls face style of the female elf.
Also, we have the excellent detail in the scenary and equipment, with great attention to detail. Though even on my system I doubt I'll be able toplay above 1152x864.
Have you read up on Kunou's Fan Site VIP Event trip? There's some good gameplay details in there! But yes, it would be nice to see them present more about what we're getting into.

You apparently don't pay attention very well...
1) We get a couple exclusive screenshots every Thursday. Sometimes it's 1, sometimes it's more, this time it just happened to be a lot more.
2) As someone else pointed out I wrote up a nice 35 page report on my trip to the SOE offices that probably has more information on Gameplay and everything else in it than any other single article released on the game so far. The first 3 parts are out, part 4 will be tomorrow and part 5 the next day. Spend some more time looking and less time complaining and you'll be surprised what you find.

Worst art team ever...
Or maybe they didnt even bother hiring an art team for this game I dont know anymore. Almost every new screenshot I see makes me more depressed. I still love EQ1 and have wanted to play EQ2 for years now and love the sound of the game play elements but the horrible graphics are starting to make me wonder.
I honestly think the original EQ1 models from 5 years ago look better then these.
I don't know if those areas are supposed to look gloomy or something... But they look very depressing. And SOE does have a great art team (if you look at some of their drawings) it looks like they didn't listen to them though .
I can always feel excited about EQ, or dissapointed depending on the screenshots. Some look fantastic, like this one:
And others.... Like the 13 posted up top, don't look that great. I'll be keeping an eye on this game to see how it turns out, but i might be more interested in just getting DnL.

The handfull of shots at the top of the list are pretty bad. They are lacking... something. The textures on the armor are bizarre. Looks like stone, somewhat, but that color is gawdawful. The landscape looks a bit sparse. And the blue whatever it is the Dark Elf is fighting looks bad. Maybe they don't have some of the tecture effects turned on in those shots, or something, but everything looks more plasticy than usual.
The bottom series look good, though I'm curious why they felt a need to put piercings on some of the models. I could see if it were appropriate, like a bone in a trolls nose, or other tribal related piercings on the trolls, or iksar, but a pierced lip on a half elf just comes off as cheesy.
