Petition - Nudity in Age of Conan

For those mentioning this is already in the game, not it is not. There is an option to turn off nipples - but you still see naked breasts. Please see the petition before responding ignorantly. I'm not starting this petition mindlessly :P - I played the PvP Beta and hope to provide an update after the regular beta as well.

There are a lot of gamers who would like an option to turn off all nudity in Age of Conan, and so I have created an online petition for gamers to sign if you think this is a reasonable suggestion so that the developers can get a sense of the appeal/requests for this.
The game director has said the following:
"we will err on the side of caution in terms of how we display nudity in the game. b) It is up to you what you want to see in terms of violence (fatality deaths) and nudity in the game. I have started a petition to make sure the developers of the game add this option, as having an option to turn off nudity does not affect those who want to experience the game with nudity, and even increases their player base.

It's already done, in screenshots etc. It's an option in the settings to turn on/off nudity and blood.
So blood and guts and decapitation and dismemberment are all fine and dandy but some titties are petition worthy?

While your at it, why not a toggle for weapons and/or death too?

Ever read the Conan books? Howard had quite a lot nudity and gory violence in them. The game is suppose to be as close as the books as possible and I can tell you that there is quite a few immoral stuff in it. To censor the game is hardly want Howard would have wanted so I'm against it, is lot of other nice game with less violence and no nudity in them.
And whats wrong with nudity anyways? Violence is one thing, I can understand that people are against that.
Well I for one am God Fearing so I suppose AOC is not for me guess ill be waiting for a good SciFi mmo to come one day . I just cannot make myself play too many more Fantasy based games anymore. I like it simple if I see a game that does not appeal to me I just simple do not buy it. I most certainly am not going to start a petition or some stuff like that . Let people play what they want imo.

And yes, you can toggle gore/nudity/whatever on/off.

I'm not really sure this game is for the hardcore Christian types. I mean, didn't Jesus teach non-violence (except for when moneylenders are in the temple :P )?
I'm trying to steer you away from the game because I am afraid your type are just going to call for the omission of everything that makes Conan Conan- brutal humanity, blatant sexuality, demons and devils and impossible horrors from worlds long forgotten...

LOL.....Boobies and gore are the only reasons why all these teen-aged computer geeks are foaming at the mouth to play AoC. You're petition will fail for 2 reasons......#1 is because it's the only reasons why people would want to play it and #2 as someone already said it's already been implemented (Not that anyone who would play AoC would even think about switching them off).

Being aChristian imo is irrelavant these are games not real life so just play what ya enjoy and if it bothers you do not play it. Pretty Simple really.
Hash is right. Like a chat filter, people should have the right to choose. The 'M' rating should only assert the option to choose nudity, not force it.

LOL I agree with you here there is no telling what the community in this game is goin to be like LOL. Its definatly goin to draw alot of teens for sure. I cannot bash the game tho. I have never tried it. It does not appeal to me after SWG,EQ2,WOW ,I simply just want a Sci-Fi game. SWG Pre-Cu would work ,but since its gone forever I just have to wait for the future.

If you don't want nudity, blood, or adult-oriented material play WAR, or WoW. AoC revolves around all of the above...
The developers aren't forcing you to play and you simply don't have to play if you don't want these things... Where does it end? Being a Christian you surely don't approve of shooting an arrow into another player, or stabbing him/her with a sword repeatedly, do you? That would be murder and murder is a sin. So are you going to petition to have a murder toggle added so you don't have to experience that?
I too am a Christian but I understand this IS A GAME. It isn't real. It isn't intended to be real. It's based off of a work of fiction, in a world that is brutal and violent, where women are used for servancy and men fight, steal, and kill.
The developer has the RIGHT to put whatever they want in the game just as you have the RIGHT not to purchase their game. The game has a rating, which means the developers understand that it won't appeal to everyone.
This is nothing more than a plea for attention.

However, a lot of things fundamental to the Age of Conan game ALSO conflict with Christian standards... when will they start calling for the removal of those features? I'm hoping they instead skip AoC and play a game more in line with their values rather than trying to change one that isn't.

Why complain about some natural nudity? I'm sure everyone sees their own selves everyday what is wrong with some pixlated nipples? I'm hard pressed to understand how nudity is worse than decapitation, goring, murder, and premature death.
