Good thing I live in Denmark. Just about no censorship what so ever. Not for violence, not for nudity.
Well,,,, let me take that back.
Nudity and violence in video games DOES NOT create crime problems, parents like those of the columbine students that had no freaking idea their kids were making pipe bombs in the their own garage create crime problems.
Parents that don't bitch slap their kids when they get out of hand create crime problems. (I'm VERY against spanking, I never spanked my kids and they turned out great, HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I didn't punish them. Teach your kids right the first time, and MOST of the time their won't be a second time.)
Uhh,,,, forgot what I was on about.. Nudity and violence in videogames don't make you kill people, it doesn't turn you into a pervert, it doesn't make you do anything you wouldn't of done otherwise. Not knowing between right and wrong, reality and fantasy - now that's a problem, and the only people to blame for that are parents.
According to the INTERPOL data, for murder, the rate in 2000 was 4.03 for Denmark, 1.10 for Japan, and 5.51 for USA.
For rape, the rate in 2000 was 9.32 for Denmark, compared with 1.78 for Japan and 32.05 for USA.
For robbery, the rate in 2000 was 59.14 for Denmark, 4.08 for Japan, and 144.92 for USA.
For aggravated assault, the rate in 2000 was 23.68 for Denmark, 23.78 for Japan, and 323.62 for USA.
For burglary, the rate in 2000 was 1868.06 for Denmark, 233.60 for Japan, and 728.42 for USA.

So nudity is worse that killing now, you christians make no sense at all...There´s NOTHING about nudity in the bible, it's just some crazy thing they made up to controle you... bha...it makes me sick.

Agreed, having to option to not see it will do nothing but expand their base as well.
Same here in Sweden. Its kinnda hard to censorship for nudity when everyone is sitting naked in a sauna : )

It´s not only a few that are like this ... but far from everyone off course. I hope US take a new direction soon to become more like Europe and less like Iran, where the president has to be religious to be selected as a president.

If you're a family man and have kids running all over the place you wouldn't want them accidentally seeing it as they ran by.
If your wife/girlfriend has a problem with the nudity then bam you can turn it off with out getting bitched at.
If your religious beliefs go against a practice or content.
Instead you sit there and bash the guy/girl for their right to censor content. Instead of being insensitive to the issue and acting like an adult you could have just said it's in the game already, but no let's not miss out on the opportunity to rip the hell out of someone for their beliefs/preferences.
And people though AoC would have a mature community, laughable at best.

The ultimate censorship is NOT to play the game. If any or all of the attributes listed above offend or cause a problem it is a very simple solution........DO NOT PLAY.
And I agree that it remains to be seen that the community will be mature.

Seeing from their website they play call of duty 4 - where you shoot people in the head or slit their throats. But a nipple here or there is wrong?

There will be dumbasses that run around naked like the nelfs in WoW hanging out in Goldshire. I always found it funny to release an infernal in goldshire and then count how many dead naked bodies were laying around in a few minutes. A while back someone posted a screenshot of a conversation with a GM, the player was reporting another player for doing what I mentioned above, and the GM asked how many dead naked bodies were laying around. I spit Dr.Pepper out of my nose when I saw that.
The newbie areas will be pits of pestilence and ass-hattery, but once in the meaty part of the game, as in most others the ass hats will be left behind to jack off to half naked pixels while the "players" are off enjoying themselves.

Your kids probably sucked their mothers boobs when they where less than 1 year old. But when they are a little older they can´t even look at boobs!? I can just laugh at it. Religion make people blind. It´s okey to kill but not to see a nude body. Something is seriously wrong here.
The world can´t adjust to every type of strange belief. Muslims might want a filter that make all girls have something over their heads, food should not come from the pig, etc ...
Seeing a nude body and beeing afraid of it is just ridicoulous. If people have that problem, they should instead start thinking ...
Smaller MMOs,, you mean the ones with a max of 100 people logged in at any given time? Or the asian imports that most people play for 5 minutes then leave cause they're not any fun(or like me, get turned of on the exceptionally bad translations), or how about the dozen different pirate games that seriously stink? Or like the one from interadventure, strange I can remember the developer name but not the game name, that's so freaking dated that the sole reason its even still active is it has a very small but devoted following of people that basically only use it for a graphically enhanced (albeit stunted and deformed) chat room?
/shrugs, I've yet to see it.

Gore, blood and nudity are all toggle enabled ALREADY from the beta. In fact, if you're running Vista with parental protection ON, it enables the protection IN THE GAME as well.
The petition is USELESS.
The thread is USELESS.
