Don't listen to the fools and naysayers they are chocked filled with your jobless beta test crowd that want to beta test forever for free play, your War crowd that are scared their game will launch with a band of crickets under a lonely moon, and of course the fanatical WoW crowd that fear losing their raid mates and rock, paper, scissor pvp.
It will take skill to be good in AOC! Any Class can Dominate any Class! Its the skill, the moment of battle and quick reaction not gear or levels that will determine who will be the most feared across Hyboria!

I do enjoy how your post is loaded with no fact, at all.
Not saying I'm not a carebear... I enjoy the more relaxed mmos (well, and the crazy open-word, full-looting pvp ones every once and awhile), I am a carebear through and through.

The most feared in Hyboris will be the one with most propagande skills, that including forumskill, hypeingskill, trolling alts amongst a few other thing. Sorry to break your illusion, but skill is no harder in this game then in any other PvP game. Unless ofcourse you are totally worthless in apprehending the game functions.

To a couple of you semi-naysayers, it can't be all that bad. I'm sure it is far from perfect. Let's think about this though. They had a PvP weekend, which let in a lot of people. Usually if a game is bad there will be a majority of people trying to warn others that the game is bad, or just straight up venting.
The thing is, there hasn't been much of that. Yes there have been ppl saying that no it isn't as good as they had hoped, but all it has to be is better than anything else out there.
I'm sure for some of you, the game just isn't your style. Still, you can't deny that there hasn't been much of an uproar about the game sucking. So in my mind, that is a pretty good thing.
Guess I will find out tomorrow if it is something fun that I can play.
I haven't heard this kind of gushing since vanguard was about to be released hehe. And I think we all know how well that turned out :P

Vanguard is going to be a great MMO just give them some time to work out the bugs and performance issues.....
It is posts like this that lend credence to the arguments that an M rating will not do much to improve the playerbase of games.

You just keep telling yourself that AoC is all about skill and gear doen't matter. Someday, when your corpse is littering the Hybornia landscape, you'll realize that it is all about the gear. The game is very gear centric. To think otherwise is foolish at best.

Its true, AOC beat WAR to launch, and if its good, it will pay off for them in the long run. Now, if its less than expected the disillusioned might turn to WAR quickly once its available.
